Oh Jim! What a sweet soul! How beautiful of him to see where Pam can communicate beyond just words! I’m sure this comes as a surprise to Pam too! What a significant statement in that she’s cracked the glass of her box— this is truly seeming to be a turning point for Pam! And with the help of Jim— I just love it! I love this visual of a young Dwight, still in his mustard shirt with his prized stapler— not to mention his trips to the library to check out children’s non-fiction books on bears! The pranks were never for Jim… but I have a feeling that they’re going to be to help Pam find her voice! Love Jim’s mention of them being a great team— yes Jim, yes you are! Go Jam!!! And sweet callback to the jello prank that started it all!!

Really great to see that the iron chains holding back Pam's voice are weakening. She finally has an outlet and also a way to make herself understood. Then just like in canon, Jim and Pam make the perfect pranking pair. Kind of fun to see the whole Bears. Beets. Battlestar Gallactica (minus the Gallactica) used once more.

As far as how long this story should go, first and foremost, that's up to you since you're the one writing it. Personally I'm really looking forward to the moment where Jim finally hears Pam's voice for the first time so there's that. I'm sure you could bring in elements from Season 3 where canon Pam finds her courage and this silent Pam finds the courage to speak as well. My two cents at least.
