For some reason now I want to see Andy actually get a girl.  For the implausibility of it.

Ha! The twist of Pam convincing Andy she had a thing for Dwight was hilarious. This whole thing was very cute and fun.

Author's Response: Well, you know, I figured nothing would get Andy's nut more than knowing that he was competing with Dwight of all people.  It would be something Pam would do, I'd think.

Oh, Pam. Your evil genius knows no bounds.

This was excellent - a totally hilarious and believable extension of canon. I hope there's more to come!

Author's Response: Thank you so much.  Heh, I really want to see more Pranking!Pam.  I think we've seen a nice little bit of her come out in these past few episodes.  I want more!

Is there going to be more to this? I can only hope so; this is delicious and smart and I love it.

Author's Response: I have no idea yet.  Wow, thanks for the kind words, though.  I love your stuff.  Hee.

Okay, at first I was disappointed that it was Pam and Dwight needing to talk, but then I was so elated that she told him she knew about him and Angela - priceless!  I also love sweet!Dwight, which we so rarely get to see.

So I'm going to say it again...you're continuing this, right...?

Author's Response: I kind of want to see where things go ... I am not sure whether I'm going to continue this or not.  I will say one thing about this chapter, though:  Dwight is a lot of fun to write about.  I don't know why.  He makes me laugh.

Ahh, GreenFish, this just gets better with every chapter!  You've actually put a little tarnish on this episode for me - because why, why, why did they not utilize the opportunity to have Pam make the "someone else" comment, then cut to Jim's reaction??  Arggghhh, so perfect!

And I'm ending this review right now, because I peeked at the chapter five title, and I gave a little inward squee.

Author's Response: It's funny because when I was fleshing out this story in my head, I came up with the "idea" for each chapter and then had to write down the chapter names so I could remember where I was going with the story, and I kind of went from there.  "There's someone else," was one of my initial thoughts and, of course, in the world of The Office, how almost everything has sort of a double-meaning.  I often wish I could write more visually because it's easy for me to come up with dialogue, and it's easy for me to see how it would play out onscreen, but trying to put that picture in words is so difficult sometimes.  Agh.

Gah!  I love this!  It's so funny and sweet.

Author's Response: Thanks so much!  I have enjoyed a lot of your work, so that means a lot.  :D

First of all, any fic that quotes Freddie Mercury is all right in my book.  :o) The line about Andy's big teeth making him look more like a cartoon than a man made me giggle, because he really does have a kind of cartoonish quality about him, doesn't he?

I like where you're going with this - starting with kernels from the episode, but then filling in the blanks.

Author's Response:

I LOVE QUEEN.  I was trying to figure out what song Andy would sing as he was leaving the room and I happened to have a Queen CD in front of me.  And, yeah, I imagine that Andy probably loves Queen, too.

Andy's smile always has me rolling.  I have a cousin who has pretty much the exact same smile -- in fact, Ed Helms looks like a cross between my cousin and his dad, so every time I see him, it freaks me out.  And makes me want to laugh.  He's so goofy, I love it.

I almost gave out a little bark of laughter at your casual mention of Andy slinging the banjo over his shoulder - hee.  I'm really loving what you've done here - taking this episode and giving us inner monologues for Jim and Pam - you know, what we'd see if they didn't feel so compelled to be evasive in their talking heads.  :o)  I really like this - you're continuing it, right...?

Author's Response: Yeah, I agree ... sometimes I really wish we could see inside their heads.  Hee ... Andy and the banjo.  I love Andy.

Oh, I loved this - love, love, love the call back to Jim's season one ("She is so....great), and I also love the way you've captured her voice so well here.  And that last line...guh, so Pam.  So like her to try to put a label on it, as if that'll make it all okay.

All right, on to the next chapter!

Author's Response: Yeah, I imagined that if they'd continued that talking head a little bit longer and let her talk, she'd say a lot more.  A bit more than what she realizes she should say.  And then, of course, she'd have to qualify herself.
