How did I miss this? It is adorable. It is the old Pam to a T, not being able to just say what she wanted. Amazing how far she's come, isn't it?

Jim standing there, three familiar yellow post-it notes splayed between the fingers of his right hand. In his left hand he held a single yellow post-it note with a message written in black: Trying to tell me something?

This quote from your story is my absolute favourite.  It seems like it something out of a romantic movie.  *sigh*  I absolutely loved this story.  Its fun, its flirty, its just utterly, unbelievably awesome.

I read this after talk about it over at TWoP and am so happy to have done so!
I thought the dialogue was really perfect. Loved Jim's 3M joke and Pam's comback was spot-on.
When Pam 'brought her hands to her face' as she opened teh door, I so did the same thing.
Well done!

This was great - I just loved Jim at the door with his post-it note saying "Trying to tell me something".  That was just perfect!

Author's Response: Thanks - I just love having nice little situations like that work out!

Very bold of Fancy New Beesly! If only she could be so brave on the show. His post-it note reply was absolutely adorable, as was the following conversation.

Author's Response:

Yeah, I do believe her courage is going to just come in the form of something small, something she just doesn't think about - a knee-jerk reaction that just says it all.  And it's hard to deny when she's gotten it written down on paper!

Thanks for reading!

Love that ending! I really think this falls in nicely with their dynamic. These two have never needed to say anything, put now they need that extra push. Hooray for Fancy New Beesley!

Great fic!

Author's Response: Thanks for the comments!  I have this little idea that now that things are finally out in the open, Pam would probably continue to find little opportunities to leave "I love you" notes, and Jim would keep every single one of them...

Adore, adore ADORE!!!  You made me grin from beginning to end.  Exactly the way I could see it happening!

Thank you Moxie!  I can always count on you!

Author's Response: Oh, thanks, xoxoxo!  I often feel just the same about the scenarios you paint for them so  I take that as high praise indeed!

K this was great for many reasons. One being that Pam admitted her love for Jim and the other that House is her favorite show.  They so need a House/Office crossover.

Author's Response:

They so need a House/Office crossover

Can you just imagine!  :-D  House and Dwight in the same room??

So perfect. I love that there's no dialogue until the end. Perfect.

In her own time and in her own way. Yes, lovely! that lovely awkwardness that comes with fearing and wishing for the same exact thing. An apt description of our poor bumbling couple who will eventually get their act together! Nice job my dear!

Author's Response:

Should I be surprised you picked out my favourite line in the whole thing?

Nah, didn't think so.  :-)  So glad you liked it.

I like that Pam can only communicate her true feelings through doodles and writing.  It seems quite true to who she is.  Very sweet story.

Author's Response: Thanks - I do think her strength is not in her verbal skills. :-)

Oh, thisis so sweet, I almost cried about 4 times! Especialy when he finaly showed up at her house.

Author's Response: Wow - I'm touched it moved you that much.  Would that it could play out this way on screen!

This was great! It's just like Pam to be able to write it, but not to say it

Author's Response: Thanks!  I do wonder if her confession will be something unusual and Pam like.  Maybe some artwork with a "where's waldo?" type of message hidden in it!

Oh, Moxie, this is so delicious.  And there is something about the power of the written word that is just untouchable.

And Jim's note just made me melt: Trying to tell me something?

Author's Response: Thanks for the comments, lisahoo!   It would be impossible for Jim to be Jim if he didn't diffuse some humor into such a highly charged encounter. I sat and imagined what his reaction to these notes would be before I wrote the end bit.  There's a reason he didn't show up until 9pm.

I think you've restored the romanticism of post-it notes - it's suffered ever since one of Carrie's boyfriends on Sex in the City used one to break up with her. Loved the line about 3-M stock...and how appropriate that these two would come together via a paper product. Very cute, moxie!

Author's Response: haha - would you believe I didn't even make the paper product connection?  Maybe that's why it just seemed natural to me.  I thought the 3M comment was a very 'take the edge off' Jim thing to say...

I LOVE IT!!  First, Pam has great taste in television (among other things..)

Second, I LOVE the idea of the post it notes.  I can really see Pam doing something like that - Fancy New Beesly would be bold enough to leave the notes but not quite bold enough yet to actually say the words (until he comes around of course).  It was unbelievably adorable when Jim shows up with the post it notes and just holds one up saying "Trying to tell me something" - that is absolute brilliance!!  I love it!

Author's Response: Thanks - I'm so glad you agree that it seems like something she'd do. It's so very passive-agressive, but so very her.  And I think Jim would take her reaching out any way he could get it...

Last line? Brilliant.

And the image of a post it note in his pocket made me unreasonably hot. I don't understand it. Hmmmm.

Author's Response: Thanks!  I kind of liked the idea of him having it so close to his heart all day, and having it visible was his way of letting her know he was on to her.

Awwww... this made me smile.

Love when FNB decides to take a chance.

Beautiful jon.

Author's Response: thanks - you just know that when she finally does, it's got to be slightly unsophisticated - but totally heartfelt.

Post-it Love Notes! Squee! This made me so happy. Favourite line: Pam just put her head on her desk. This is not how a grown woman behaves. So cute.

Author's Response:

I always feel like Pam's lack of experience in going after a romantic interest means that she falls back to less complicated games.  So she leaves the note, and then realises how high school it seems.  But that's her - and I don't think Jim would mind her reaching out like that at all. :-)

Thanks for the review!

NOTHING WOULD STOP ME BEING ANGRY IF SOMEONE MADE ME MISS HOUSE!

Ahem. Just had to get that out of the way. Okay, probably if Jim came 'round to my house, I might just let it go, but stilll... I'd have to find a tape first. Goodness, where are my priorities? Well, I suppose I should also add that I LOVED THIS. So much. It was incredibly gorgeous and just as adorable as Pam always is. Her exchange with Jim at the end was perfect. It was sweet and happy and the whole story was filled with this lightness that comes from requited love. Yay! It made me smile so much! Wonderful work.

Author's Response:

Haha - I did wonder if I should throw in something about her TiVo'ing it!  I do love me some House in a BIG way too - I do think I would probably grab Jim and drag him to the TV so I could combine both.  ;-)
