I love this. It's very true to the characters and the show while also being very heartwarming.

First off, just want to say, I don't mean to be spammy! but I am in love with the story you wrote, 'The New Year's Resolution'. My best friends and co-hosts, Lynds, Danny and I have been reading through it and love this premise. Plus, we're huge Office fans. :)

We are the hosts of Fangasm (previously Potterotica), a comedy podcast where we read erotic pop culture fan fiction. We initially read Harry Potter fanfic, but are branching out into other fandoms! We would love to if we could possibly feature your story / read your story (giving you cred of course) on our podcast (we always get the authors permission)!

We've been featured on the HuffPo, Buzzfeed, MTV, Bustle, NY Magazine - The Cut, etc. (with 3M+ downloads since we launched two years ago!). Clearly, the aim of the podcast is to be humorous, playful, and fun-as-hell—always teasing the characters, never you as the author.

Here's the to the podcast website, so you can check it out -- fangasmpodcast[dot]com

Let me know what you think! You can also email me back at if you prefer. hi[at]fangasmpodcast[dot]com or hi[at]potteroticapodcast[dot]com

Thanks so much! Can't wait to hear back :)

This is really beautiful and perfect. I know you probably don't check your reviews anymore but still. It needed to be said.

Very nice story. I kinda felt worse for Karen in this story than in the show, though, but JAM all the way. :)

I just went back and reread this story. I'd forgotten about it. Wow. The craziest thing is how spot on you were with the way Jim handled telling Karen about Pam and the final confrontation about it. (The Yes heard round the world, anyone?) And I believe this was written before The Return aired, right? CRAZY. It gave me chills a little bit.

Oh, that's so perfect. I mean, it just is. You didn't go overboard with the last chapter--making them some great happy married couple, which really fit the sort of small-scale (but never lacking) -ness of the story.

 Great job! :D

Oh, and your use of words is amazing O.O How do you do that??? Goodness.

He smiles back, sort of, but he’s half-mad at her, because come on. He’s glad she’s making friends, but did it have to be with the girl he’s sleeping with? Not that she knows that yet, but still.

Great stuff.  And your Kelly was hilarious, as always.  Onward!

Normally, when reading fan fiction and there's a sex scene, well, it just seems weird.  And vaguely sad. But, here, considering what you did leading up to, what followed, and the content of the scene, well, it's all well written.

Great story, overall.  No complaints or anything.  Simply a well written piece of Office fan-fiction.  Quite talented, you are.

I love this line:
" but by the time midnight came, people kind of started coming together."

I guess you can say that again!

Seriously, that was a wonderful story.  The voices and characterizations were spot on as if I were there.  Great job, 69CON!

It doesn't hurt this time. Wonderful line!

And this: Now he knows it feels light, like air, kind of like he's had twenty-five phonebooks resting on his head and shoulders for the past five years, then all of a sudden someone came and knocked them all off. It feels like that. Guh. Amazing.

I really like Karen giving advice to Roy.

And, unless I'm out of line, I thought you might want to correct his line: rubbing the back of her forehead with a soapy hand.

Karen and Jim's break up was really heartbreaking, even though I was rooting for it just a little. And I loved this line: Because he's learning that honesty is never wrong. It may not always get you where you want to be, but it's never wrong.

She takes a step backwards and tosses blue, green, and yellow paper napkins into the cart, in addition to the white ones they’d already picked out. Hee!

I was totally holding my breath when Karen was looking around Pam's room. I knew there had to be something to catch her out!

"Mrrhhhllff," he answers, his mouth full of food. He points to his face, chewing. "Purple. Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.

Bwah! Classic Jim/Kelly exchange!
