"And he hardly ever said her name anymore. It was always “Beesley.” She hated that."
VS
"“'Morning, Beesley,” he said cheerfully as he passed her desk. “Hi, Jim,” she flustered, feeling like a complete idiot, her face hot."

I love the way her reaction to him using her last name changes after she's seen the clips. I know you still have the "It wasn't until she was halfway home that it occurred to her that not only had he walked her out for the first time in ages, but that he had called her “Pam” several times." But I still like that one of them bothered her and one of them didn't.

Oh so wonderful. It's nice to see someone finally give them the nudge they need.

i loved this whole thing, but i have to tell you...best thing: jim asking pam out a month in advance. and then checking his watch.

“How about...Seven o'clock, five weeks from now?”

best ever. awesome.

This was a favorite of mine when I first read it, and a favorite still.

Ok, this line made my heart jump into my throat:
“I don't want to be your rebound guy, Pam”

If only it were this simple!  But then what would I do on Thursday nights?

What a great idea! A way for Pam to face the truth without Jim having to break through her denial and her hating him for it. It was so satisfying to see her take responsibility for her life and face all the consequences. Lovely angst there at the end - I wouldn't want any easy immediate happy endings. After what Jim'd gone through it was only fair, but also completely real-life that she would go through some self-doubt, insecurity and does-he-still-like-mes of her own. And then he asks her out :-) How normal:-)

Oh, I totally remember reading that pre-Casino Night when we just didn't know what would happen.  I like that scenario that the cameramen might help move along their relationship!
