She's taken by surprise.

He misinterprets.

"I'm sorry."

He starts to walk away.

A pleading whisper. "Jim!"

He turns around.

"Please don't walk away from me again." Her voice has broken.

He looks into her eyes, searching for the answer that still remains unspoken.

He finds it.

She takes his hand.

"I can."
