Andy sauntered over to Kelly's desk one day.

"Hey," he said cheerily. "Do you want to go out sometime?"

"Out? Like on a date?"

"Food. Movie. Music. Some rum a la Coke at your place or mine."

"I don't know. Maybe someday?"

"That's okay. It might offend Ryan, anyway."

"Pick me up at seven tomorrow."

Kelly and Andy had a snack together in the break room while Jim sat at a nearby table.

"I have to go, my little curry," Andy said. He gave her a quick hug and walked out.

Kelly sat quietly, studying Jim. "It was almost you," she said.

"What?"

"Jelly just sounded weird, though."

"Thank you."

Jim steered his car along side streets on the way to a face-to-face sales call. Andy sat in the shotgun seat.

"She's so spicy," Andy grinned.

"Who? Kelly?"

"Yes, my new girlfriend, Haircut. She's a fun time."

"Her parents desperately want her to get married."

The rest of the trip was in silence.

Pam transferred a call and was surprised to see Kelly appear, staring down at her.

“I know Andy once tried to romance you,” Kelly said hesitantly, looking serious.

“I wouldn’t exactly call it –“

“But it’s okay. I don’t blame you.”

“Thanks.”

“You have Jim, anyway. How’s that going?”

Pam smiled. “No banjos so far.”

"So you inherited Kelly?"  Ryan asked. He was in Scranton to see Michael about sales figures and stopped by Andy's desk on the way out.

"Yes. Do we have a problem?"

"We're fine. More than fine."

"Good." Andy relaxed.

"Hey, want a five percent raise?"

"Of course."

"Keep her out of New York."

"Ten."

"Done."

Few wanted to listen so Andy eventually told Creed all about his new relationship.

"Do you know what she calls it when we do it? Union....of the Songbird."

Creed nodded sagely. "That's an actual position. I saw it performed in Thailand once."

"Yeah but -"

"Do you flap your arms?"

"Yes."

"There you go."

Andy stopped by Kelly's desk towards the end of the workday.

"Are we still on for tonight?" he asked. "Us. Date."

Kelly smiled. "Wow. My previous boyfriend never remembered our dates."

"You can say his name."

"I'd rather not."

"Go ahead."

"Ryan Bailey Howard, that deceiving, heartless, miserable little user!"

"I see what you mean."

Michael was winding down a conference room meeting.

“So remember,” he said. “No public displays of affection in certain areas.”

Kelly frowned and Andy winced.

“Not in the break room or kitchen?” Andy asked.

Michael nodded. “Or within ten feet of the accountants’ area.”

At the back of the room, a small blonde woman smiled.

Andy and Kelly were looking over their menus in a restaurant.

"What will you be having, my Masala?"

Kelly looked confused. "I thought I was your spicy curry?"

"You are many things," he reassured her.

She laughed. "I need a nickname for you."

"Big Drew."

"Big Dork!"

"Drew will be fine."

"Big Nerd!"

Andy sighed.
