He met her earlier in the day, very briefly. Now they’re at their desks, and he can still see her at reception.

 

He knows he ought to look away.

 

He can’t. She’s gorgeous.

 

She looks up, catches him staring. He doesn’t look away.

 

Neither does she.

 

She smiles. She looks away.

 

He can’t stop looking.
