He misses her at the weirdest times.

He’ll see a red jacket, and he wonders what it’d look like on her.  

Sometimes MTV is on and no one gives him a running commentary, and he hears her.  

This girl he met cooks him dinner at her place; he eats garlicky naan and curried rice and he misses her.  

Later that night, he wishes this girl knew just the way he likes his neck nibbled. 

But when he’s back in Scranton and sees her at the mall twined around another guy, he finally realizes she just doesn’t miss him at all.
