9 "She’s sick of solitaire." That says it all, eh? And I love that the first thing she hears Jim say is "Ah." Kind of inadvertently sexy. Melissa made my stomach flop, too. Poor Pam. Season 3 might be hard :( On a brighter note, I love that Creed thinks the stapler is a game and I wonder if he thinks Ryan started it?

6 Not a smoker, but I can understand how that could be a kink. Loved this: "She wants to take them and shred them and then knot all the pieces up together into one tangled mass of Jim-and-Pam-cloth that no one will ever be able to pick apart."
Author's Response: I used to absolutely abhor smoking. Obviously, I've been a wee bit converted. I'm glad you like that line; it's one of my favorite parts, even though it's a small story to have favorite parts out of, lol. As opposed to being crafted that line totally jumped out fully formed.
This is essentially my take on the "unseen" challenge. I've written a couple of these, and I originally thought I'd do one for every episode, but I'm thinking that's too ambitious for me -- especially when someone else has already done it so perfectly. But for what it's worth....

This chapter is just really good. What Ryan did and Pam's reaction were so real when I saw the ep, and you've captured perfectly how she and Jim would have felt about it.
Ooo, and the conversation about his collection, and her kiss,...
And her recent admission to herself about The Love! I seriously gasped a little there.

For me, the most poignant scenes are the two with Roy. He loves her, and his affection comes through clearly, but he has no idea what's coming.

Great revelations by Pam about what it would be like with Jim at the wedding. You've also done a great job showing the progression and slant of Pam's logic. The exchange with her mother is perfect. They do transcend labels, but it's more than enough for "meant to be". Not sure that makes sense (what I said, not what you wrote). Awesome job here...
