i love damien rice. also, i love fic that tries to make its readers feel anything aside from contempt for karen. i'd really like to read more about post-JAM karen. maybe karen goes on a life-changing road trip with someone unexpected... like kelly. i think that'd be a neat story. but i like what you've done here, especially the "one syllable that irks her." Hmm, what could she mean? :)

This series has been one of my favorites for awhile now. I love how you organize the story in terms of snacks/meals, and I think the Ryan/Pam pairing is unexpected, yet really works and is very believable. You built it up well. I'm excited to see where this continues to go. Great work.

Hi, WildBerryJam! I'm the author of the other Eternal Sunshine fic, and I love what you're doing here. Poor Jim, though. I think, with all the angst these two have gone through, the idea behind Eternal Sunshine really fits in well. I wonder how you're going to address the mind erase and its implications. I'm struggling to write what will probably be the last chapter now. If you have a chance to read mine and have some input I'd be happy to hear it. All the best with your continuing story!

One of my favorite lines from this chapter (what a great, simple way to say something powerful): "She hugged me, but not in the way that you would want someone to hug you."

Hello! I thought these were great, especially the one on departures. ("Of course your children don't usually turn around and decide to become your... dad, suddenly, after almost no experience of being your dad, ever.") The one about Toby made me laugh as well. I really could see these ending up on the show! Well done.

Oh, this is one of those stories that makes me feel like: "Damn, I wish I had written this." My favorite parts include: "Like sodium and chlorine, they simply came together in such a way that something new and wonderful was the result" and " It was in the eyes those brides as they walked down the aisle towards the men who were about to become their husbands. Now, Pam was looking at him with that same mixture of hope, happiness, and possibility." These lines are terrific, because they describe things we're all familiar with, but in fresh and interesting ways. Well done!

Oh wow... this story is so cute. I agree that while it's improbable, it's definitely not impossible. I can't wait to hear about all of his awkward memories. Aww... poor Jim! Hope it's worth the wait for him!

Very cute! I loved the topless/tapas thing as well. And I could actually see this happening on the show next season. Talk about awkward. "I wouldn't want to go out with you and Karen." I could just picture Jim's face! Can't wait to read the next chapter.

hah! poor stanley. i love, and also feel badly for, all of his grumbly misfortunes. i love that he thinks phyllis' perfume is stinky. and i can totally see him sitting, waiting for AAA, doing a crosswork puzzle or just sitting there with his arms crossed, looking irritated. It's what Stanley does best!

"TWSS" is now part of my regular vernacular with my friends. It's terrible. I'm like, thirteen years old... anyway, I am really enjoying this series. I could totally see it happening on the show. Glad that the Dwangela secret is out in the open between Jim and Pam. And can't wait to see what JAM does when Jim is up on the auction block! Hee! 

Wow. First, I have to say that I'm suddenly in the mood to watch Ally McBeal. Any episode before they killed off Billy, that is. That was just... so wrong (in spite of how much I love Robert Downey Jr>). I digress... 

I like this because I've read a lot of stories (and written a few) where songs inspire Jim or Pam, and they're almost always lo-fi, emo type songs. I'm guilty of this too, I know... but I like that a cheerful, slightly cheesy song is making Jim jam (hee) on the gas pedal to get home to Pam. In a way, it's much more fitting of their flirty, fun relationship than Red House Painters or something equally mushy. Though everyone loves a good weepy song once in awhile.

And I love the thought of Barry materalizing to Jim in the strangest of places. Well done. Very sweet.
