Phew! Thank goodness. I was going through withdrawl for a while there - and that ain't fun. Seriously, sorry to see you were ill - no time spent in the hospital is enjoyable.
I gotta tell you, I love the pacing of this. It feels real to me - that they'd grasp at contact like a life preserver and jump right in to a gluttony of e-mail and phone calls. Love it, love it, love it. Also - the smut-level was perfect. It seems very "Pam" to me. She's ready for some things, but not all. She has the basic experience level of adolescence. You did beautifully.
I shall not press for chapter 11, but I will pounce upon it as soon as it's posted. If it will help, add to the previous list - I give kick-ass backrubs and am very good at running errands...so you just let me know how to be of service. ;)

I'm so glad you think their interaction has been realistic. I know I've read fanfic with more hesitant starts, but my impression of them is that after 4 months of no interaction, they both would be happy to have the chance to talk again. Add the fact that Pam's become a bit more confident and misses Jim so much, and I just can totally see them going from one extreme to the other like this.

So, have I mentioned how much I love this story? I love the way you are handling the physical side of their relationship - I've read a lot of JAM fic, a lot, and I've not seen this approach anywhere else. It is very original.
I really do enjoy the characterization. I love the nervous-first-date-conversation and how he's still not completely at ease about them, after all, it's only been a couple of days, and he was really crushed.
Incidentally, Notorious is one of my favorite movies. I was genuinely excited to see it mentioned. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this. (BTW, I'm nowhere near OH. I'm in TN.) : )

OK, this is brilliant. I mean really awesome. Angela is a pill, but somewhere in there, she cares. I love that you have her communicating in Kevin's language. For her to condone excess brownies is a true sign of concern. Your Kevin is freaking perfect - that character is somehow simultaneously innocent and debauched, it's weird. He's a dichotomy.
Loved this imagery - whipping her ponytail around like some kind of crazy nunchucks - I also love that you use that imagery after her interaction with Dwight, because you know he has like a dozen sets on the beet farm.

OK, these two sentences right here: Putting his hands on her shoulders, he turned her around, then slid his hands down to her wrists and brought them together behind her back. The ratcheting sound the cuffs made closing around her wrists affected her like nothing else ever had.

Just lovely. I love the tone of her letter; it is absolutely appropriate.
I do believe my favorite line was: "Jim might as well been sitting right there, she felt his presence so keenly." When I read that line, I so clearly pictured him perched on her desk, right next to her computer, staring down at her. And the thing is, I don't think that's very far off from how Pam's been feeling this season.

Ok, umm...I really love this. I'm all for x-overs, but I wasn't sure this one was gonna work, but it does...really well. I wasn't sure on which side Dwight was gonna come down - I could see either. (I'm still not convinced he won't rat them out, but them I'm also concerned about Mark - just suspicious I guess.) When I say I am looking forward to the next part, please take it as a compliment and not as unbearable pressure to write faster...because quality counts. : ) Thanks for the hard work.

Is it a homage, is it a tribute or is it just that I am not very good at thinking up original plots? Whatever, this story is 'inspired' by Jane Austen's Persuasion and is meant to have a similar mix of melancholy and hope. Set after the rumoured merger of the branches (spoilers up to Grief Counselling), Michael organises a bonding exercise adventure and Pam has to deal with seeing Jim again - and with his attentions to Karen. But if you've read Persuasion, you might guess that someone is heading for a fall ...

Never, ever feel awkward about using Ms. Auten as your guide. One can never go wrong in emulating her. I am quite enjoying this so far, and, as an American reader, I didn't notice any British-isms that proved too challenging...so no worries on that front.

These are great (I have a weak spot for haikus, and actually write them occasionally when inspiration strikes.) I love the haiku form - structure juxtaposed with emotion - just lovely. Can't help it, must ask...didn't you mention something about a haiku praising JK's forearms? (Wait, that may have been girl7).
