Is there life and love after Jam?
10 wendolf, I'm so sorry that this story isn't getting the positvie attention it deserves, because it is beyond stellar. You know me. And, if you know me, you know that I am an obsessed Jammer. I mean, worse than most people. I felt great trepidation about this story, but you are a friend, and I wanted to give it a chance. I knew the story would be well written, even if I abhor the suject matter. Well, I was wrong. It is so far beyond well written. It's truly in a class of it's own. I've always been very protective of the Jim/Pam relationship, but at the same time, there's been a nagging doubt in my mind about how it might work out. You've brought this to light perfectly, so please, continue to be brave and keep posting.

10 Whoa. This was smokin' hot, without being graphic. Perfect. I also loved how you captured the way they feel about each other, and I like that it's equal. I get so tired of the Jim loves Pam more than Pam loves Jim stuff.
Author's Response: You make a good point, a lot of stories do seem to have one of the characters worrying about loving the other more, and while I guess that's realistic for a relationship, I think they both love each other very much (I do realize they're not real people....sort of). Also I'm glad that you liked the steam without the fire so to speak. I find writing the tension and emotion between them more rewarding than describing sex. You capture Karen just like I imagine her, and the build up of the perfectly chic apartment and possesions, then the contrast you display when describing Pam's gift, it's amazing. 10 I'm just really enjoying this so far. Your characters make sense, if that makes any sense! Like someone else said before, it's a great premise, and I'll add that it's very fresh. I loved the Hopper quote. Such a nice touch.

A colorful look at the evolution of Pam and Jim's relationship.10 and the whole time I kept calling her Beesly because it just felt so good to use that name and know it was still true.
It's lines like this that set you apart. So simple, yet so full of meaning. This just really tugged at my heartstrings. The whole story does. So poignant, yet so full of hope. Can't wait for the next chapter!
10 He glances at Karen and all of New York sparkles in her eyes. For the tiniest moment, he lets himself remember that he saw more in Pam’s eyes on that dark beach than all that this City can ignite in Karen’s.
Karen is right, there are too many people in Scranton and yet he realises, with a sudden clarity, that there will always be one too many people, no matter how far they run.
He’ll always see her face in the crowd because he’ll always be looking for it.
This is simply beautiful and so well written. I believe it captures Jim's feeling so accurately. The above are 3 of the passages that made this story so poignant. So well done. Thank you.

10 We say, “Finally, finally,” as our eyes start to flood because the past is always present but we can only be grateful for it now, because even though it has scarred us, it has also shaped us, made us into this and this is perfect, this is everything we have ever wanted, this is the only place we were ever meant to be and that was the only way we could have ever gotten here.
And this sums up beautifully the whole moment. Their lives. Their future. Well done.

I loved that you incorporated Pam's insecurity with children into this, and it was very believable, as was Jim's exasperation. 10 She looked into his eyes as deeply as she could from far away, and when he nodded ever so slightly, she knew he’d gotten her message.
This gives me hope. I loved this story. I loved the tone, the dialogue, the hope, the emotion.
“I’ll never love her the way I love you. Not even close.”
This made me cry. This is a beautiful piece of work. Thank you.
