This is an idea I've had for a long time. It is inspired by the very end of the Six Feet Under series finale (hence the title), and it seems that the 55 word style would be perfect for it. Each chapter will focus on a different Office character. 20 chapters are planned.

I loved these - so sweet and so sad. My only problem is a medical one: if Jim had a degenerative disease, it's unlikey he'd live into his 90s, or, if he developed it so late in life, it's unlikely that he'd linger as long as it seems he did. I would just expect to see him die younger, or else have some other ailment like cancer that might strike so late and last so long. Sorry to be a downer, though I suppose the topic calls for it.

At first I didn't remember the celebrity sex tape scene from the beginning of the episode - I thought the celebs Jim asks Pam about in this story was his way of getting her to describe what she saw of Michael's "dangling participle." Except for the Paris reference, it actually kind of works that way too!
MEMBER'S CHOICE TOP NOMINEE - Jim and Pam must interact in network sponsored live chats to promote their documentary. Angst (and maybe some smut) ensue.

5 I continue to love this story, but something in this chapter didn't sit right with me. Would JIM/Jim really start IM'ing PAM in the middle of his chat with Pam? I get that his convo with Pam got him thinking of PAM, but I think he's too nice a guy, and likes Pam too much, to multi-task like that. It'd be more reasonable to me if perhaps there were some delay in Pam's response to him - like she had to answer the phone or get her laundry or something - during which he decided to start the IM. Just my two cents. Please keep the stories coming. I am addicted. :)

You know, I thought about all of that (though I wasn't clever enough to have Pam have to go and do something) but I really wanted to have the conversations going on at the same time. I really value your feedback, though, and I think the next chapter will get things back on track.

Yet another story inspired by a song by Ingrid Michaelson called Breakable. I really wanted to tell a story about people being just that -- breakable, and ultimately how grace helps keep us from falling apart. So yeah -- a nice fluffy holiday piece. ;-)10 "Everything that was wrong with the world was illuminated." That is just such a perfect line. I hope you write "real" stories, too, stories that you can actually own, because you have a great voice for description and you should be able to get rich and famous from it someday.
