I found this when I decided it was about time I checked the MTT primer, because wierdly I never have.

I wanted to stop and review every few chapters, mostly to tell you that I love how much your Jim fights for her in this, but I got drawn in and now it's like an hour later and I'm at the end.

This is just wonderful, a lovely story and hands down the best Jim/Pam proposal I have ever read.

:)

Author's Response: Sorry for the delay in replying to you.  Thank you so much for your kind review.  I love this story myself.  It has a place near and dear to my heart.  I'm so glad you liked it too!

I found this from the newly compiled list of all stories with a ribbon on MTT. This just about broke my heart, it is so beautiful and yet so terribly painful. Just wonderful.

Author's Response: Aw, sorry to break your heart...I guess S1/S2 just really brought that out in me ;-) Happy you found this and thanks so much, shootingstars!

So I just finished reading your beautiful and yet terribly sad fic 'A Few Things He Knows About Her' and I really needed something like this, something bright and hopeful and funny, to cheer me up. Brilliant :)

Author's Response: Glad these little conversations were a good antidote, lol. Another older one - and I remember this being a lot of fun to write. Thanks for reading and reviewing, shootingstars!

This was wonderful. I found it through the March Member's Choice list and shot through the whole thing in one sitting while I was really supposed to be working.
This was a lovely read, I don't often take of OCs but Jane was great - half the voice of the audience, telling Jim what we wanted to tell him, and yet a rounded character in her own right. I love that Pam and Jim just sort of came together, I don't think I've ever read a fic where there wasn't some sort of dramatic moment of revelation so I really liked the unique take of having them just work their way back to each other. Thanks for a great read :)

I don't even know where to begin with this girl7, I'm a huge fan of a lot of your work but somehow I managed to overlook this. I found it today and it has had me absolutely captivated, just mesmerised. I can't even begin to describe why this is so wonderful, why it's definitely the best Jim/Pam story I've ever read. In parts, it had me literally gasping and close to tears. Just absolutely wonderful :)

oh. my. god. its so good i'm using grammatically incorrect full stops. This is beautiful and sweet and so brilliantly Jim/Pam. I love that you got down to what is essentially the base of their relationship for me: they're just best friends and they make each other laugh. Wonderful.

Author's Response: I'm so touched by these reviews, shootingstars!  This one kind of came out of nowhere and I was really pleased with the end result and I'm so glad you were, too.

A beautiful end to a brillaint story. Thanks for a great read!

Author's Response: I can't believe you did all this.  It means so much to me that you left a review for each chapter, shootingstars.  Great fun for me to go back and think about each chapter, too.  Looking forward to reading more from you, as well.  Thank you so much!

A very believable look at what their first fight could have been over. Excellent.

Author's Response:

We had some spoilers and a lot of speculation about a fight between Jim and Pam and this was borne out of those discussions.  This just scratched an itch for me, wondering what they might fight about.

Oh they're even teasing when they talk about sex. Of course :)

Author's Response: Hee!  Well, I'm sure the sex is hot, but I also thinks it's fun!  These are just fictional characters, these are just fictional characters....but they're really FUN fictional characters!

A departure yes, but a nice one. I love the meandering nature of this story, every chapter is so different and yet it still feels like one large narrative at the centre. Your description of Jim's thoughts about his job just screams s4-Jim to me. Spot on.

Author's Response: It's funny how Jim's soul-searching turned out, isn't it?  I think if Pam weren't pursuing her own dreams, he might be more content, but FNB has him thinking.  I'm glad you think there was a center to this, because I didn't consciously do that, but I think the essence of their relationship ties it all together.  Thank you so much, shootingstars.

This is brilliant. Again I could see this scene so clearly which is amazing considering the chap is all dialogue. Brilliantly in character.

Author's Response: Well, I hope we've all had these moments, very late at night, after the sexage, when you just ramble all over the place with your partner, so I thought most readers would be able to relate to it pretty well.  Thank you so much for the sweet words...I'm enjoying these all over again!

*sigh* seriously this story is just brilliant. I don't know how you do it but I can imagine these little scenes so vividly. Wonderful.

Author's Response: I love the idea of Pam letting loose in her own home with Jim at her side, hosting a great party and getting a little tanked in the process.  Jim would have fun with that, too, I think!  Thank you so much for doing this!

Lovely. Feels even lovelier after the angst of the last couple of chapters.

Author's Response: This one was maybe the most fun to write for me and we definitely needed a lift after the angst.  Thank you so much!

Reviewer: shootingstars Signed

He’s lifting the salad bowl out of the refrigerator when the lip of the bowl catches on the shelf and as he tries to prevent it from falling, he actually tosses the bowl up, into his chest and watches the entire salad toss itself down the front of his sweater, his jeans, with a few croutons settling between his toes.

This can’t be happening. He’s a good person. Loves his mother. Is kind to animals and old people. Why?

So brilliantly expressed I could practically see it happening before me eyes. Made me say my signature Office comment ("Oh Jim") out loud, and not a lot of fic does that. Brilliant :) must keep reading ....

Author's Response: Okay, Jim's embarrassment is nothing compared to mine, shootingstars.  There was a discussion on the boards recently about reviews and responses, and I realized that I had missed some of these and never responded, and for that, I sincerely apologize.  I've enjoyed your writing so much, so what a great pleasure it was to read this!  I had so much fun writing these vignettes that I think I might return to them very soon.  Thank you so much for this!  (Never too late to say thank you, right?)

And now it's all "Oh Pam".
This was a lovely little insight into that note.

Author's Response: The note kind of came out of nowhere, so I always wondered how Pam got the idea to do it.  I can't thank you enough for going back and reading all of these, shootingstars!  And so sweet to leave reviews - I really appreciate it.

Again... "Oh, Jim."
This was painful to read and so perfectly described post-Casino night Jim. Poor thing :(

Author's Response: Funny, this one was one of the easier ones to write for me.  I'm a little too well-acquainted with how he must have been feeling.   A little easier to take now that we know how it all turns out, though, eh?

aww this chapter was so sweet. Made me want to curl up in bed (preferably with my Jim Halpert clone whenever that arrives...) and read the paper. Beautiful!

Author's Response:

I would so love a Halpert in my bed every Sunday morning, too, and writing this was like a little wish fulfillment.  Thank you!

Making it out to the car is overrated if you ask me ;)

Author's Response: HA!  Me too!  I'm tucking my road trip story in my back pocket to do another time, but this was a fun substitute to write.

No idea how I missed this but I'm glad I've spotted it now. This story is wonderful, a realistic, honest look at a Jim/Pam pregnancy. You've got the perfect balance between their happiness and their fears. For some reason I can't quite fathom, I adored this line:
Then, if time permitted, he wanted to run up to the roof top and kinda shout it into the universe.
I was so disappointed when I realised I'd caught up and there were no more chapters to read. Can't wait for more :)

Aaah I only just found this story today and a few hours later there's a new chapter :)
This was wonderful, very well expressed, so much so that I felt nervous for them at that dinner table.
My favourite part:
Her smile was bright like Pam's, and Jim caught himself doing that thing again, where he willed the baby to possess that trait. She whispered ‘Finally' to him as she hugged him and he closed his eyes and exhaled because it sounded like ‘Welcome Home' and he wanted that to be so true
Ok favourite partS would be more appropriate because I have to add this too:
He looked at Pam sadly in a way to say ‘Name the baby after me if I go missing', and then walked out behind Ron onto the porch.
I can totally imagine that look :)
Just a quick typo I noticed: Her mother, upon meeting Jim, hugged him and he noticed up close she could see was looked very young for her years I guess you changed the sentence around but left in an extra word.
Thanks for a great read!

This is, quite simply, brilliant. The whole thing is wonderful and this chapter was perhaps the best. It stays so beautifully in character throughout :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much!  I love the characters, so I love to hear I've written them in character.  And I think you do a great job of that (please keep writing!) so I'm glad you think so. :)

you. are. killing. me. in the best possible way. The way that makes me use full stops in an entirely grammatically incorrect way just to try and convey my feelings. It's late and my roommate is alseep and I had to literally bite my lip to stop myself saying something out loud at the end.
This chapter is wonderful and completely in character for all those featured which I'm sure must have been difficult given how many people crop up.

I tried to leave a review here a few days ago but my laptop is dying a sad slow death so I don't think it posted. Apologies if this is a repeat.

I second what Pam said: aa89dpuahdui8hf
And to elaborate on that: lkdngiehr90t4njvk vergg!:fbnh943 :)
Translated from fangirl into english that says something along the lines of: you are amazing.

This was simply brilliant. i love (and I've been meaning to mention this a few times) that you've kept this tied in with the actual show to an extent, using some storylines and variations on the same lines but within your own narrative. I love that this was concluded via the chat as that really is what has brought them together throughout this story.
I adore the metaphor about looking through new lenses. Beautiful and very appropriate.
SO FANTASTIC IT DESERVES CAPSLOCK :)
