Gah! Jim crying in his mom's arms for 20 minutes made perfect sense to me, and punched me in the grief bone many times. Ah, but it was a good punching. :) Great story, great details, I really enjoyed the whole thing!
58 OK, the new Pam chapter= awesome, hilarious and subtle. Yet, perfect. Somehow you captured the esssence of Drunk Pam: I pictured her at the Dundies. I have to say though, your lead chapter with the ripping off of the cardigan and the microphone....you had me at "hello". heehee

Obviously, Pam and Jim (for me) are the most fun to write, but I do like to try to get to everyone, because I think they have some good moments too. OK, you delurked me with this story. Count me as one who registered just to review. I love this; the voices are so authentic. It's very dramatic but at the same time, I can totally see this scenario taking place, if Jim and Pam were real and The Office was indeed a documentary and not a mockumentary.
That Jim closed his email account tells me that he has put up 1,000 more walls to block Pam out than he even had at the beginning of this story. Somehow, though, you are able to convey that all these walls are made of those cardboard bricks kids play with. I can sense so clearly through your writing that they would all come tumbling down quickly, in the right circumstance.

Yet another story inspired by a song by Ingrid Michaelson called Breakable. I really wanted to tell a story about people being just that -- breakable, and ultimately how grace helps keep us from falling apart. So yeah -- a nice fluffy holiday piece. ;-)Seriously. How do you DO that? This is Jim all the way, you captured him perfectly. I actually imagined him throughout the entire story; not once was I taken out of it by anything non-Jim. Amazing.
The ending was just dramatically perfect, and yet so real life and RIGHT, too. These are conversations I can completely imagine happening in the family down the street....or my very own family.
You are extremely talented. I know everyone else around here knows that, but I'm new in these parts and just have to gush. Sorry. **blush**

Gah! OK, if you want honesty BeckySue, I avoided this fic for awhile because JAM is my guilty pleasure and I like it pretty sweet. ;) But this is beautifully written. Just really, really good.
