Loved this, and the little musical references are a nice touch. I love the last part, jumping from them greeting each other to Jim asking his mother if someone else can come - you don't even have to say what happened in between, it just follows logically :)

Oh, wow, love what you did with that little hint of a story that we saw in the deleted scene. Him falling a third in love with her, half in love with her, then completely in love with her was a lovely progression.
And I really, really love this line:
"It’s like finding out a song you really love is actually a cover and you suddenly feel guilty for ever liking it so much, because it really belongs to someone else and you haven’t even heard the original before, but you’re convinced this version is so much better."
So pretty and heartbreaking!

I love Jim's fantasy of the first time Pam would say "I love you," though I'm just happy to see them saying it over the phone at all - it's sweet, without needing to be a grandiose gesture.
