I've been thinking of a way to continue a story I started here called "A Century Ends", but I figured out that I wrote myself into a corner that I could not escape from. So I'm taking parts of that story and incorporating them into this one. Everything that happened thru season two has happened in this "universe". But after that, aside from the fact that Jim transferred to Stamford and came back with Karen when the branches merged, it's AU. Hope you like it.
I remember the other fic you started similar to this and I'm anxious to see where this goes and how they broke up.

Great chapter. I love seeing how smitten Jim is with her and doesn't care that she has two kids. Curious to see how things fell apart with Roy, but I hope she and Jim don't have too many roadblocks to get together.

It's not so much that she hates the house - she does, but it's not so much that as it is that he purchased a house without without so much as mentioning it to her beforehand. But she'll never tell him that she hates it. And she hates why she'll never tell him why.

Author's Response: I've had several people wonder where it went. I had thought that the conversation with Angela would have been enough to explain it, but I guess it isn't (I usually like being subtle, expecting my readers to be able to draw the inferences that I lead them to, but some people have different thought processes than me - as any population should - and the connection is interpreted differently). So I'll make it clearer in the next segment that it was big. That's what she said.

Aww I love it when Pam takes care of Jim! I'm glad to hear he's in the schools now and happier with his job. It's nice to see Pam flashing back to her past life in high school and how things have changed. They're so cute!

Such a relief that Jim is much happier teaching and doesn\'t have to worry about all of that stress weighing him down. I can imagine him being very popular with his students. He can behave like a teenager himself, sometimes. But it\'s funny to see how they realize they\'ve matured, while still holding on to bits of their youth. Their friends are having babies, yet they still spend hours playing Wii at home. Pam is like an old lady who can\'t get the stupid automatic faucets to work in the bathroom, but when Jim tells her \"Lord of the Flies\" is a bit like \"A Bug\'s Life\" the little 5-year-old in her is all, \"Ooh- yipee!\" Ha-ha.

Poor Jim and Pam. I can totally feel those growing pains and him feeling upset and inadequate. Moving from Chicago back to a suburb would be very tough, especially when friends are out having fun and going on without you. Hopefully they can go back soon. She needs to do something for Jim to really assure him because she's been a little mean when he's just trying to help.
FYI: I love Garret's cheese popcorn. It is my FAVE. I also love dress 2 better, but Dress 1 is great without the flower. Distracting.

Author's Response: Garrett\'s popcorn is amazing. Am I even spelling that right? I never notice the spelling when I\'m there because the smell of popcorn overwelms me with its amazingness. My parents also force me to pick it up at O\'Hare when I fly down to visit them in Dallas, and if I show up without a bag of popcorn in hand, they will leave me stranded at the airport. No joke. It\'s that serious.
Poor Pam has been so hard on Jim, and probably not intentionally- she\'s just learning to cope with this new life she\'s entered and being a grown up and all- but I think she\'ll finally realize that everything Jim is doing is out of love and that she\'s one lucky woman to have him. :)
