Bio:
After being raised by feral dogs deep in the heart of Appalachia for my first 17 years, I rescued a group of imperiled socioanthopologists from certain doom at the hands of some moonshiners in an undisclosed mossy holler of my homeland. Silly with gratitude, they taught me to read and eventually, to make letters with a pencil. I'm continuing that learning process by writing fan fiction here.
As you can see, I'm still having trouble with run-on sentences and cliches. Yet I've come so far.
Oh, and I love music - especially jazz.

Okay, I read the premise and thought WTF? But this is really good, I can't believe you wrote a story about Jim and Roy talking about what they talked about and having me suspend disbelief enough to enjoy the story. The ending was a hoot, too.
Unusual premise, good story.
Author's Response: Thanks, jazzfan, for giving it a read even though you had reservations. Glad you liked.

OK, I'm way late - came across this by accident - but I wanted to say how much I loved it. What a great backstory, and so very well done.
Author's Response: Thanks, jazzfan - the backstory's the fun part of fic. :)

There were about twenty zebras in the picture, each with its own distinctive stripe pattern, but the focus was on two standing side by side. Their stripes matched perfectly, and they were labeled “Jim” and “Pam”.
That may be the cutest single thing I've ever read in a fan fiction here.

Best steamy Jim and Pam story evah.
You really captured the underlying longing of Jim's character, both physical and emotional. *applauds*

These are fabulous. I especially liked this - it is a very believable scenario:
Hi. I know this is going to be awkward and I know I don't deserve anything from you, but I need to tell you something. I..." her voice faltered. She licked her lips and started again. "I just want to tell you that Dwight and Angela are secretly dating. I think they are having sex. Do with that information what you will."
She was more than halfway back to her desk when he started laughing hysterically. Of course he still loved her. He always would.
And Pam's little wedding present to Jim. Perfection.
Author's Response: Thank you! I love the way they actually did the reveal, too, but I had a good time speculating about it once upon a time. Sorry for the late response- my notifications don't work and I hadn't checked for a while! Thank you, again!

Late to the party here, but what a great alternative story you have here. This could have saved these "kids" so much grief. Good read, thanks!

Oh, I loved this. Is it silly for me to be a little worried about this fictional characters and hoping it all goes okay the second time around? Probably, but there you go. Very sweet and very in character.
Author's Response: Here's a spoiler from me to you Jazzy...::whisper:: no need to be worried ;-). Thanks so much for your loyal reviewing! LOVE IT!
Date: March 04, 2010 Title: Chapter 31: Jim, Pam, Jill, and...A
Wow, you had me at the author's notes. I actually thought I was going to cry at Here's to swaying being dancing after all... I've loved this entire story so much - it was one of the first ones I read when I started reading this forum, and it never fails to bring a smile to my face. How perfect that it end with Godfather Michael. Can we now pronounce you the Boss of Babyfic? *standing ovation*
Date: March 02, 2010 Title: Chapter 30: Jim, Pam, and Jill
Honestly, I could read this for hours - just Jim and Pam talking. You capture the cadence and the dialogue between them perfectly. When I come to the end of one of these chapters I'm sad because I want them to go on for at least a couple more hours. If the "real" Jim and Pam are half this cute with their kid, I may die of "Awwww." Well done, as always. I'm looking forward to seeing how this next part goes down.
Date: February 28, 2010 Title: Chapter 29: Jim and Pam
Guh. Everytime I read a chapter of this I almost hope for a Jim and Pam girl. Almost. Lots of great lines, but I really liked the one where Jim recognizes the look on her face, but doesn't dare tell her. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Date: November 06, 2009 Title: Chapter 28: Three's A Party
All those years of experience gleaned from managing Michael Scott the manchild are coming in handy for the Halprets. Very cute story and the wet bed scenario should ring true with any exhausted parent. My favorite line was Jim saying that Jill was just as stubborn as her mother. Nice callback to "The Lover" and Michael's statement to Pam. I'm so glad you updated this - is there really any need to end it? *crosses fingers that you forget about that statement*
Date: September 13, 2009 Title: Chapter 1: Labor Relations
Another awesome chapter. The whole parenting of Michael gets stickier now that Jim and Pam are parents, and it's so entertaining to read your take on it. This made me laugh out loud: "And if I can't shower with Pam, then I don't want to shower at all," Michael finished throwing up his hands."
I also loved that you didn't label that one talking head about the quilt as Creed, but I knew it was Creed anyway. And the ending was so perfectly in character.
Author's Response: hahaha, you pulled out my favorite Michael line, I must say.lol. I think I wrote that section first and it set the tone for everything! lol. Glad you were able to tell what was Creed too! Thanks for being such an awesome reader and reviewer, Jazz.

Oh, poor Jim and Pam. Very well written, I wanted to give them both a hug.
Date: April 15, 2009 Title: Chapter 21: Moving Day
Oh, this is made of win. I love Kelly as a babysitter (bmw - alphabet car...bwahahahahaahaha). You get the dynamic just right, and the callback to Fun Run was priceless. Blushing Jim is adorable.
Date: July 27, 2009 Title: Chapter 26: She: A Lesson in Pronouns
I very much liked your "unsure" Jim. A nice change of pace and a Dwight was perfect as the person who introduces the age old question of "didn't you want a son?" to a father with girls.
Date: May 20, 2009 Title: Chapter 24: The Halperts
This is such a great idea written from a teenager's POV. And you've captured the teenager's voice perfectly. She admires their relationship and thinks the kid is cute, but also has the hots for Jim -classic. Wonderfully done.
Date: May 10, 2009 Title: Chapter 23: Surprise Flowers
Oh this is so dang sweet it should come with a glass of milk. I especially loved this: "So I go into her room last night and she's talking to that Daisy I brought home...and she's saying something like, "Hey...Pwize...G'nite...Pwize."

Brava.
PS Oh yeah - fabric softner and milk in the hot chocolate - what a killer combination in a man. Irresistable.

Aaaand, that'll teach Karen not to know who Bob Vance is. This was so very cute, and Phyllis is just nosy, kind, and mean enough to pull this off. Great read.
