Big cheers for the update! Well worth the wait too because Sexy Basketball Jim is all I could ever hope for. I love watching the boys play basketball, and like Pam, get a special thrill when they use the shirt hem to wipe forehead sweat. It's such a guy thing to do, and I find it adorable.
New Years with the Halpert's should be fun, fun, fun and I look forward to reading about it! And ringing in 2008 with Jim means... New Year's kiss!

Oh Yanana, so happy to see your update. I really think that this argument did make sense. An extremely valid point was made when Pam tried to explain the need for their relationship to work out, a baby links them forever.
But I cannot pretend the ending of this chapter, along with the fight, does not leave me nervous. Hopefully I find out what happens soon.

Umm... wow?
To get reacquainted with where we are in this story, I read the whole before finishing up this newest chapter. I think that made it even more heartbreaking.
This was SO well done, please consider this a well deserved standard ovation!
From the happy realization and planning of their little expanding family in chapters 6 & 7. Meeting the parents, considering and discussing what to call the newest family member while 'Baby' gets ready to join them and where Baby will sleep in their home. Not to mention the sweet sweet moment at work when Pam tells Jim that Baby is growing up and changing from fetus to embryo.
Then the shift in Chapter 8, with the angry lighting in the apartment Jim and Pam both feeling irritable, frustrated and just off, to the heartbreak at the end of that chapter, and even more so in this one. I wanted to hold both their hands so badly!
I am so so so looking forward to reading more from you on this, and will wait patiently to find out how this loss affects their new relationship.

On behalf of 2010, thanks for restoring some of its confidence. Very happy to have a new chapter of your excellent story!
In case you have yet to notice, I am a huge, giant dork. Some evidence- my squee of joy- this because Pam says 'WE have a babysitter', not 'YOU have a babysitter'. Not quite sure why that made me so happy, but I had visions of them in the not-so-distant future, making lots and lots more 'WE' plans for a family of three.
I was even a big fan of some of the more uncomfortable moments from this chapter. I thought it was so sweet that Jim could sense and see when Pam was feeling uncomfortable, and when he did, he did what he could to make her feel more at ease. I feel like there will be more of that coming up in the next chapter. I know that first-time-with-the family events can be so nerve wracking in new relationships, and if Jim's brothers are anything like on the show... Yikes! Not to mention first night together nerves, oh boy!
I CANNOT WAIT TO READ THE NEXT CHAPTER!
