Aw, this was a cute little snippet. Love the part where Cece tells him all about her day. Hope you'll be inspired again soon.

Kinda wish this was a little longer and incorporated parts of their interaction after she left the conference room.

This sentence could use a little fix: "Even now, as she sat in the chair" sounds better.

I hope you find that constructive, I in no way mean to offend. I hope you'll continue writing this, I do love first date stories. And if you need any help just let me know, I'd be happy to beta for you.

Author's Response: ok, you won't believe this, but that's exactly what I was going to put! It was like 2 a.m. when I wrote this...so it sucks. but would you beta for me? That would be SO amazing! Btw, I love your stories!

I really like this, I hope you and others will continue. I have to agree, I don't like the two dolts they cast as Jim's brothers at all, never have and never will, so I like that you brought Jon back for this. It's totally believable that he'd have panic attacks about this at home.

Summary: It all begins with a piece of paper Jim leaves in the break room. Suddenly everything changes, rumors spread, and definitions become blurred. A delightfully angsty tribute to my OTP.

Something's up with your word fiance, it's not coming out right.
Interested to see where you're going. When is this supposed to be set during? I know it says AU, but I'm slightly confused by the 'before R announces engagement' part, but Andy's there and he wasn't there in season 2, and Pam wasn't engaged in season 3. Sorry for that, hope you find it constructive, and if you need a beta just let me know I'd be happy to help. I would like to read the rest of this story so please do continue.

I'm so excited that you're back! Not that I don't love this but where's the rest of Set Fire to the Rain? I've been waiting for that for ages!
This was great, I love the background you gave to the situation and I loved hearing Pam's inner thoughts about how she really feels about him keeping a secret from her. I hope the inspiration stays with you and you give us many more of these stories.

Author's Response: I'm very excited to be back too! I'll tell you whats happening to Set Fire to the Rain... I've been trying to write the epilogue, and there is one, except that I can never put an end. I've been trying desperately to tie all the loose ends, but new ideas keep popping up and I keep writing. The epilogue is about 10 pages long right now. So, I just haven't decided what do to yet! But I hope do post something, VERY soon. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

Summary: One of them is going to have to make a huge sacrifice, and possibly resent the other. That’s the only scenario she can stomach, because the other scenario is that she stays in Scranton and Jim stays in Philadelphia, and even thinking of that makes her stomach lurch.

Spoilers for "Moving On."

I haven't read fic in a long time, let alone logged in here. Today I decided to take a break from real life, and happened upon here in honor of the filming of the finale, and I read this, and I had to log in just to tell you how wonderful this is. You hit so many points in such a little span. Everything you have here is completely plausible and so heart breaking, especially the final sentence.
I really do wish they would have talked about these things before it came to this. I'm feeling anxious, and this story really rings so true to that night and I can see it happening like that.
I hope you continue to be inspired.

Author's Response: I agree about the anxiety! I thought to myself, "there's just no good way to resolve this in real life." I'm sure (hoping) that things will work out on the show, but I just kept imagining this couple making this huge decision and neither wants what the other one wants.
