I realize this story has not been updated in a couple of years and I have no idea whether the author even posts here anymore, but I just read this and had to let the author know how much I enjoyed this. I thought this story did an excellent job of capturing the dynamic between the "early" Pam and Jim and I found each story interesting and entertaining. I just wish the author would continue the series.
Summary: What the camera didn't catch in the immediate aftermath of the Casino Night kiss. Both Jim and Pam struggle to come to grips with what happened.

I don't get why this story got so few reviews. In my opinion, this is one of the best Pam POV stories I have read, especially the link between Pam's almost marriage to Roy and that of her parents. Well done

You just absolutely nailed how a guy feels when he is shot down the way Jim was (yes, I have been in this exact situation). As you say, for those who thought Jim was being jerk in S3, this is a good idea of how much pain he was in

One of my husband's pet peeves in reading fiction written by women is that they always write men's thoughts more like women would think, so its nice to hear I wasn't a "fail" in that aspect. I'm very sorry you've been in this situation, but hope it eventually turned out okay! People who are hurting aren't always nice, and that's why I gave Jim a pass on his S3 behavior. This is one of the first stories I read when I discovered this site and this remains one of my all time favorites. Well-paced, vivid imagery (even without the photos at the end), and very believable. Overall, a great introduction to fan fiction. Indeed, this is the first story I ever showed my wife and she not only loved it, it made her cry (in a good way).

The scene of Jim leaving the parking lot alone after Pam drives away with Angela has always been one of the saddest moments in Season 3. This captured the "what if" moment there perfectly. My only suggestion is that you do consider doing a second chapter to this, especially since the writing is so well done

Great premise, great writing, can't wait to read more. I do have to say that you gave me pause at the end of Chapter 1 when you said "then I met my husband" as opposed to "then I met Jim", as I thought might be going AU and have Pam with someone else. Needless to say, I was thrilled with the 2nd chapter-keep it up!

This has been done before (obviously), but I liked the way you were in the heads of both characters. I would love to see you add a chapter or two on the rest of the night, especially what you saw their thoughts being during the critical 24 hours after the night. So many mistakes were made during that period (Jim not telling Pam he was leaving, Pam refusing to see the damage she had done) that it would be good to see that explored.

Wow, nice story! I think the details of what was going on with Pam after CN and before the wedding deserves more attention and this certainly helps. It is also very well-written and I liked the idea that there were others in Pam's circle of friends that were skeptical about Roy.
Have you thought about a sequel, where Pam tells Spencer what happened? Maybe invites him to her wedding with Jim? He seemed like an interesting character
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you like the story - and I agree that more attention needs to be put on Pam in between CN and leaving Roy. It's a big step for her, a very important one, as I tried my best to show here.
As for a sequel...who knows? I really like the story and would definitely be interested in expanding on it. If I do end up writing more, I'd probably end up with three total one-shots, this one plus two others.

Loved it. I can emphasize with Jim's stress levels and consequent high BP. Same thing happened to me, although well after our son was born, and I did not have Dwight to deal with!

I was just so pleased to see another story in this series. Although this week's episode was much better than most of S8, your stories continue to be the best thing about this year

Interesting story and well in keeping with both of their characters. Very enjoyable to read. Are you going to continue this? It seemed like it ended at the right spot and on the right note in their relationship, but I see that is is marked as not completed. I would not mind seeing an epilogue to this at all!

I like it and it rings true that Jim might just have vanished. If I had been Jim, I would never have stayed in the D-M system, looking instead to get as far away as possible from Pam and all the memories she conjured up. I'll be eager to see where you go with this
Author's Response: Your right I found that it would be more realistic for Jim to distance himself as much as possible from Pam. I plan on updating soon. Next Chapter will be Jim's point of view on the events that occurred and where he is in life now. I would love for you to keep reviewing.
