Author's Response: Thanks! :) I'm working on something about Philip right now, actually-- only not with the PDA theme. Hopefully I can finish that soonish

Date: March 23, 2012 Title: Chapter 20: Irrelevant, mostly pointless, but…

No matter how bad the show gets you continue to produce gold. Perhaps you disagree but I honestly think the show has gotten off track again. But thats beside the point. This was beautiful. I liked how they were off this chapter in the beginning because it always leads to a great make up scene. This was probably the best one yet. You really nailed what a guy like Jim would be like when irritated. He is the silent type that turns inward. I liked when Pam told Phillip she hopes he'll be just like this father one day. Nice touch with Jim's horrible attempt to convince Cece he wasn't mad lol. Oh and Pam calling her children Boo and Bug. Ha, adorable. And of course you can't beat some good old Jam smut. Interesting at the end how you referenced Jim's unhappiness and 'options'. It's a topic which all of us seem to struggle working into our understanding of Jim. He's an easy going guy who obviously cares more about his soul mate and kids more than anything. But we always wonder if he'll ever become more... or even wants more. The show itself has always kinda side stepped this question I think, though there are a lot of hints about it. Okay, that was cool, keep up the good work.

Author's Response: Thanks so much! I'm going to have to agree with you on the show being a little off track again. I had been really loving the Tallahassee stuff, but the last few episodes haven't been my most favorite ones. I try to just pay attention to Jim and Pam and ignore whatever else is happening around them. Definitely agree with you too about Jim's character, he's not a shouter, he just holds things in. I think though, his little two year old is able to see right through him. I think kids are really perceptive. Glad you liked the nicknames, I wasn't sure if it would be a good way to go but I think every once in a while is good. I really think the show is stuck with Jim's development - they tried the manager thing, and could have done well with it, but chose to go another way, and they could have made him manager and they did the same thing. I think it would be nice to see him evolve, but at this point the only place for him to evolve is with another company, once he gets some motivation. (I promise I really do still like this show and this couple lol) I think I'll try to keep that theme going, as long as it's true to what the show's giving us. :)

Author's Response: This review just completely blows me away. Best compliment ever that I write the best Jam fluff on the web! You have no idea how touched I am. Thank you so much! I'm so happy that you're enjoying these! There will definitely be more. Thanks for pushing me to continue. :)

I didn't really see a new format, but I still liked it. There wasn't any dialogue which was an interesting change of pace. Still, really good description of married lovers in the early morning lol. Keep it up :)

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I never wrote in second person before, or had no dialogue, so I was nervous that it wouldn't come out too well. I'm glad you liked it! It was fun to write! :)

Super cute. Loved the entire Skype session. Also really enjoyed the short phone conversation, haha. I just love how Pam held Jim's pillow like a Teddy Bear. I hope to see 8.16 up here asap. I mean you basically promised it, so... (BTW, little request if its not to late, make it from Jim's point of view please and don't be afraid to have his character a little on edge because of Cathy ;), oh and keep in mind its the end of week one)

Author's Response: Thanks for the tips! I didn't realize that it was only one week, but now that I've seen the layout of the rest of the episodes, it makes sense, two episodes per week. Yep, the update I just posted is from Jim's POV. After the deleted scene was up yesterday, I had to re write most of what I'd done to include it, so Jim's not totally on edge like I had made it originally. Hope you like that one too, and I'm so happy that you liked this one! I had fun writing their conversation on Skype and their phone call, and I'm happy that you liked reading it. Thanks so much for being so kind and supportive! It truly means so much to me! :)

I hope you realize just how perfect and amazing this chapter was. Not to mention it was twice as good as I expected, no joke. But I'll get to that later. I wasn't aware of the deleted scene until you mentioned it lol. Thanks for that. And yeah, I'm glad you rewrote it, to show that. Anyway it was going great until you introduced the Niagara dream. Thats when it got perfect. I. Just. Loved. It. Bringing up the wedding day to show just why Jim would never cheat on Pam. Brilliant. It was done so beautifully with the swift transitions. So many compliments. Well done as always. Can't wait for 8.17...

Btw your probably in the top ten fan fiction writers I've every seen. And thats saying something because I've seen several hundred.

Author's Response: Thank you so so so so so much! Yes, exactly - that's exactly why this idea for him to dream about Niagara came from. Initially it was going to be the dream and a phone call to Pam where he can't decide if he wants to tell her about Kathy, but that deleted scene changed everything, and the idea still worked - to show why Jim would never cheat on or think of cheating on Pam. That compliment is by far the nicest thing ever, I can't tell you how completely touched and honored that you think I'm in the top ten of writers of fan fic. That's huge! There's so many of us around these parts. That really means a lot. Thank you so much!

Sorry for my recent silence. Lots to do, yah know? Anyway, I have loved every single chapter you have written here, and Love how they tie into the weekly episodes. I knew you would write a good one for "Pam's Replacement" (a good episode by the way) and you did. I love how they basically had matching thoughts. The world would be a better place if everyone had a relationship like that. It was so in character how Pam started to get rid of all the healthy food... wow, I just realized these kinds of things never would have happened if she married Roy. I think she realizes it to, and it just makes her love Jim more. Speaking of Jim, for a laid back guy he's going to have a lot on his plate. But he loves his family so it will be all good. You know what I love about FanFiction? Most of it is better then the original show/movie/book (my opinion). And yours is no exception. Anyways, Loved it all, keep it up, can't wait till next week. BTW, out of curiosity... are you male or female?

Author's Response: Thanks, I really appreciate knowing you've been enjoying these :) I'm female. I'm totally blown away by you saying that my writing is better than the original show. That will stay with me for a long time, I can't tell you in words how much it means to know that someone out there thinks the way you do. What I did find odd was that Jim is laid back like you mention, so I guess genetics coupled with some of the stress would lead him to have high blood pressure. I'm sure he's also not telling Pam every single thing he's freaking out about and wouldn't want his co workers to think that way. I'm really wishing I could go back in time and incorporate more of these things that I keep thinking of for him to stress about. But I'll leave this one alone and move on to the next later this week. Thank you so much :)

Glad your back with more. This sure was random, but then again you didn't have much to work with. This weeks episode was way better though. Can't wait for next update. Until then :)

Author's Response: Aw, thanks, yeah it was a little odd how I thought about it. I was almost certain I wasn't going to get a one shot for this particular episode, and then I just started thinking about it and it came out like this. Happy you liked it! I really appreciate all of your support :)

Wow, Cece was quite a handful that day. Well this chapter sure showed what great parents the Halperts are. I laughed when Cece cried as soon as Jim left, oh well, she'll get use to it.

Author's Response: LOL Yes, she was a handful. I don't want her to be a diva all the time, but I thought it was realistic that she'd have a hard time splitting the attention of her parents. I've seen babies cry hysterically the second one parent leaves the room - my sister did that when she was a baby whenever my mom would walk out of the room, so I thought it was something Cece would do after the day she had. I do think that Jim and Pam are great parents, and I think they really adore their kids. Thanks so much for reading and for taking the time to review! Hope to hear from you again! :)

And thanks so much for the lovely compliment on the chapter. I'm happy you enjoyed it. I'm thinking out the Christmas chapter now so hopefully it'll be ready in a day or two. I was wondering why no smutt at the end there, thanks for answering. I love how CeCe was so, loving I guess as she constantly pestered Jim. I also thought it was cool that we got to see her more of her 'no' phase. You did good with this chapter, showing how Jim quickly fell back into the normal routine. Obviously that takes a devoted father and husband to willingly do that while NOT cheating after being on a three week 'vacation'. Actually the last episode was boring in my opinion, but thats okay we have you to make up for it. :) Speaking of which I wonder if the Kathy plot will go anywhere now that they're back. Its up to the writers I guess. I hope they give it one last breath of air because one, it would make sense and two, it gives you more cake batter to work with lol. Well, hoping tonights episode will better, bye, till next we talk.

Author's Response: Glad you thought that Jim jumping right back into daddy duty was believable, he just seems like the type that would do that no matter how tired he would be from traveling. I have way too much fun writing Cece, it makes me happy to see that you like seeing her! It's tough, some people just don't like this time frame of the show and prefer stories without kids. I haven't been super happy with the last few episodes, so I'm hoping that it gets better when they come back from break. Thanks so much for taking the time to review, I really appreciate it and I'm enjoying chatting with you! :)

I loved it when Pam said "Eh" to Jim's joke/question. Many lols! ^_^ Good connection to the days when Jim and Pam were both unhappy and lost. Thats one of your talents bridging and connecting the gaps. A talent all good FanFiction writers have. Remember the part of this episode when Kathy said it was her idea to be the "hot girl"? Man, she is a piece of work. And she thinks her tricks will eventually work on Jim. Pathetic. Pam chose the right word. Until next chapter, bye :)

Author's Response: Thanks! Yes, I originally was going to write something else there, but then I thought, Pam would joke around with him and be like, "Eh." so I did that. Glad you liked it! Thanks, I'm glad you like that I bridge things together, I always worry that my style will get old and annoying and over done. Yes, I remember that part, she's not hot, and I can't wait for her to just disappear. I almost dislike her more than I disliked Karen. Pam did choose the right word for her. :) Thanks so much, I am so happy that you liked this chapter. :) Til next time

Great "ending" to a great series. BUT COME ON! Did you SEE the ending of the 2/9/12 episode Special Project?!? There's your new material to continue this right there! You have to do SOMETHING about this new Cathy thing. This may be the last interesting thing thats going to happen to Jim and Pam's relationship! It's golden material. Heck if people don't start drooling over this soon, I may be force to write something!

Author's Response: OK! I removed the end note on this chapter and just posted an update lol I'm really happy that you liked the chapter. Glad you covered all the jokes that Pam swung at Jim :). And as usual loved the Jam love. I've noticed you write them as the perfect American Family and they have a very traditional relationship (Jim as head of the house). Regardless of what people think its very sweet. Nice reflection on women owning to many shoes too lol. As always well done, later.

Author's Response: Thanks! It was sort of a two-for-one chapter, since I couldn't come up with anything really meaningful for Angry Andy, I figured I'd stick it all in this one. I'm a traditionalist, and I think that this couple in particular would be more of the traditional American family - happy to see that you like that about them. Thanks for the feedback, as always, it's very much appreciated! :)
