This is awesome! Personally, I like the bittersweet stories the best. It's cool how you wrote this story without mentioning 'Jim' once, but still alluding to him several times. Definitely looking forward to the rest of these!

Author's Response: Thank you! My first 55 word attempt. Limiting verbosity is not one of my strengths as a writer, so it was an interesting challenge.
Pam decides to write angry letters without sending them. Or, well, the modern equivalent thereof. A fun little romp of a story!
AU: Canon divergence. Pam doesn't get back together with Roy in season 3. She leaves the wedding when he asks her to dance. They are not together for her art show. They don't go to Poor Richard's, she doesn't tell him about the kiss with Jim, and he never tries to attack Jim in the office.

AU: Dunder Mifflin and the characters are real, but subject to a media and internet blackout about their own show. Pam gets suspicious when a simple search for "jam" returns an error code saying it is related to the show.

1 Great story! Interesting concept with the ‘beach day but not beach day’-esque theme. It was cool how you touched on so many characters, not many stories do that. The Dwight-Angela interaction at the end was spot on but that’s to be expected from you!

Oh man, what an awesome story. Very well written. Have to feel bad for Jim for clinging onto his ‘online girlfriend that’s never going to happen’ for such a long time, but it’s really cool to see how their online relationship and real life relationship are overlapping.

1 Fantastic story. Super long but super good (twss).
Early seasons, engaged Pam wouldn’t have been so bold as to invite Jim over to her place in the middle of the night let alone blatantly flirt with him. It leads to some interesting scenarios, like what would happen if Roy walked in on them spooning on the couch, but it probably wouldn’t have happened. You nailed depressed, neurotic Jim. His irrational obsession with Pam and inability to move on/hookup up with other women are spot on. Bonus point for painting the image of Jim watching romantic comedies and imaging himself and Pam as the leads, that was a good laugh.
Author's Response: Thank you! I think what I'm trying to get at with Pam being bold is that she doesn't actually realize that she has feelings for Jim, and thinks that she's just inviting her friend over. Hopefully that is conveyed more as the chapters wear on. Thanks again for reading! :)
Really interesting premise! Ryan’s character seemed a bit off to me (although he’s a shallow character in the show so it’s hard to know) but his introspection thing in the middle was a good touch.
Author's Response: Thank you! I had to develop a side of Ryan that we see less often (i.e. Lion King story, latter half of sales call with Dwight) in order to make this story more plausible. I think Ryan’s personality would seem different if he was interacting with friends versus his attitude in the office, so I hope the way I shaped him is believable to some extent.
Very well written piece, there really isn’t a lot of Angela stuff on here. Nice touch with Angela comparing Dwight and Andy to her cats.

Roy isn't perfect, but Pam loves him, and love is about looking past the problems isn't it? Jim is too preoccupied with his feelings for his best friend to see what is really going on. Dwight sees something private and begins to suspect that one of his co-workers is in a bad situation. Don't worry. He has a plan.
