The first time she does it, it’s simply to answer a question: how quickly can she pack the essentials and make it out to the car? She doesn’t know exactly why she wonders; something, surely, related to a friend having to pack an overnight bag during a pregnancy or an episode of Oprah or something.Reading in 2017. This is an incredible story. You really have a gift for packing a ton of meaning into very few words.

Author's Response: Ha, oh no, you probably haven't read any of my other fics then because I have like 4 WIPs going on (I am going to finish them up and then it's 1 story at a time for me, dangit!... maybe 2 at a time ;-) ). This fic is kind of my experimental fic, I'm keeping it close to canon and may have it go on for a while and I try to keep each chapter self contained. Thanks for breaking your policy and reading!

Jim is in love with Pam Beesly, despite that ring on her finger. He pines for her, leaves her, and finally puts his own ring there instead. See that world through Jim's eyes (with special sections through Pam's eyes as well!)

Jim and Pam are CIA agents assigned to break a Scranton element of a smuggling ring. "Stamford" is a cover for Jim being recalled to Langley after confessing his feelings for Pam, but now he's coming back. And he has to recruit Dwight as an asset.
NOW COMPLETE. Set in AU S3. Spoilers through S3.
