So this one hurts me, deep in my gut, in a way that reminds me that for all my problems with how the show did go, and how they teased out the angst and the separation, they could have done a lot worse.

Did I say worse? Because I don't want in any way to imply this isn't wonderfully written or emotionally true, just that it is both those things in a truly painful way precisely because it hits right on the edge of plausible but painful. Really well done.
