Hmm....how to put this? At the end of Season 3, Jim asked Pam out on a date. I thought I might go out on a limb and fill in the blanks.... (SERIOUS FLUFF ALERT!)

You already have him, she told herself. He came back from New York because of you. There is nothing to prove tonight. She wished she could believe it.

HA! Jim's the prudish one! Nice. Loved the surprise appearance of Kevin and the fact that Pam wasn't bothered by the idea of the list at all. And Pam referring to her girls as her best assets! Hee!

Oh I'm so glad you resisted the smut urge! It's so much better to have them just sleep, actually sleep, laying next to each other, spooning and holding hands. But I cracked up that they're going to tell everyone in the office that they Did It. Bwah!

Summary: HeroesOffice crossover. Pam held the phone in her bandaged hand and gently massaged her temples. "So, say this again. What is it you are saying about this list?"

Oh frickin come on Pam.  UST in the middle of this?  Ridiculous.  I like the Sylar could have been impersonating either Claire or Peter though.

Poor Dwight.

And I can't believe you didn't finish this.  I thought maybe you just hadn't remembered to mark it as complete.  Sigh.

Awww.  This has become such a fun Heroes AU!  I love the idea of using the Petrelli mansion as the Justice League headquarters.  Very nice.

Ah, close your eyes and save her life.  Lovely phrase.  Plus, I was just dying at all the Sith lord business.  Brilliant!  Oh and excellent rescue by Peter and Hiro!

Nice.  First off, it's fun to see sweet and innocent Mohinder again.  And secondly, like he'd be interested in Pam.  Everyone knows his heart belongs to Sylar!  HA!  But it's great that Jim automatically assumed they were Doin' It.

Love it.  At first I thought you were going with the electricity power, and I was going to give you props for anticipating Elle before she was introduced.  But you're doing firestarter like Liz from Hellboy!  And that is even more awesome.  Love that her UST angst is fuel.

Ooh nice, Pam's got a power.  This story was recommended to me back in, oh, June, and I'm finally getting to it now.  I like the set-up for this AU; I haven't seen that particular twist on the events of the finale yet.

Awesome.  First Sylar, then Dwight having the power of roofies?  I'm adoring this crossover.  It's just ridiculous amounts of fun!

It was so hard to re-read knowing what was coming; I had tears blurring my vision the whole time!  Gorgeous.  Love the different moods evoked by each one.  The fact that we've seen the first two on the show somehow makes the other three that much more real.

Author's Response: You are sooo good to me. Thank you for taking time to come here and comment when you have already read it! I truly hope we get to see at least their first date kiss...I'm thinking that holding out for the last one would probably really strain the documentary conceit a bit. Hee. *kiss kiss*

Talk about hitting all my buttons!  I wish you had put the link up to that post of mine; I would love to go back and review that conversation.  It was so hard figuring out clothes during that regular-to-maternity transition!

I loved Jim's unspoken opinions.  So true and so hilarious!  Nice follow-through with Pam's job wardrobes, too.

Author's Response:

I didn't know if you'd want it linked or not, since I forgot to ask you. I browsed through your subsequent blog posts to find an outfit for her, too.

Jim's mama didn't raise an idiot. Heh.

Wow. It was so fun to revisit this entire thing after so many years. And then to get the final gut-punch. Beautiful, but now I'm crying at work.

Author's Response: I'm sorry. I love you. Happy birthday?  Hee.

Hee!  That picture on the shirt you linked is brilliant.

I really like that you didn't make any sort of catty comment about the ex-wife.  It was just matter-of-fact.  And I also like how Angela and Kevin are referenced by their full names.  I think that's realistic.  Jim and Pam may still know those people but the first-namers in their lives are their family.  Subtle, and maybe you didn't intend it, but effective.  And it's nice to see them as empty-nesters, but still Jammy!

Author's Response:

Sadly, divorce is just a fact of a lot of lives; it seemed realistic to me (and probably broke Pam's heart when Jamie went through it).  And yeah- in my story, Pam left DM years ago, so these wouldn't be people she'd see or think of often. I'm sure they both refer to Dwight as just "Dwight", though. Heh.

Thank you so much!!

I know we're psychic twins and all but I still need to reiterate how much Jim's fear of holding Pam back resonated with me.  Next time Mr. b gets scared in that fashion, I'm going to have to quote, "I wouldn’t have anything without you".

I love the way you've drawn the details of their comfortable domesticity.  You've really done a fabulous job of extending their relationship into the future in a believable fashion.

Author's Response: I'll expect my royalty check in the mail. Heee. Seriously, though, thank you, as ever, for your feedback and encouragement. This is still your birthday gift, so I'm glad you're still enjoying it.

Oh lis you've outdone yourself! It was hilarious AND sweet as hell! I kept trying to pick a Jim line to quote but then the next one would be even better and the next and the next. I love their mature interactions...and "logic". Heh. Watching them be parents while still be themselves. It's such a lovely balance.

Author's Response: Oh, thank you! It wasn't as transformative for Pam as some of the chapters, but I wanted to show her as being more settled, less in need of transformation at this stage in her life. And I truly hope that people can be fully themselves as parents (you seem to manage beautifully!).

Damn you lis!  It is really uncomfortably hard to eat lunch while trying to hold back a flood of tears!  I had no idea you were going here.  It was amazing.  Jim's founded paranoia while at work, Pam's entrace, the whole thing with him finally seeing the expression in her eyes.  Gorgeous.

Author's Response: I think I'd said something like "feeling disconnected from each other", so yeah, I went a long farther than I originally intended. I just think that they're so in-sync that being out of sync would hurt them more than most people. So sorry about the tears- your birthday present isn't supposed to make you cry! (Thank you, thank you).

I still just can't get over how quickly and easily Pam switched from girlfriend-mode to effing-with-Dwight-mode.  Hee!  And Dwight's such an easy mark!

The revelation that Pam's got a bad history with sporting events was very nice; quiet and understated but still extremely telling.

Author's Response: Yeah, I can imagine that Roy was the kind of guy to get drunk and yell at officials. Pam has learned to mess with Dwight from the master- she's got skills!

HEE! Even knowing you were working in this particular chapter I still couldn't stop giggling. Love that it all started from Jim misunderstanding why she had been shopping. But you should have mentioned in the author's note just where, ahem, you came up with the idea! HA!

Author's Response:

No one needs to know that this is loosely based on real-life events, bel, dear. ;)

Glad you liked- and I'll definitely put an author's note about the source of the next chapter!

Hee!  It was everything I ever dreamed it could be when I suggested this particular change!  Oh and I giggled at the nod to the future in the GPS discussion.  Nice bit o' sci-fi there.  "I mean, that's why we have ceremonies, right? To mark change."  I loved this; it's so sage.

Author's Response:

I think Pam has a lot of hidden wisdom. You can't be that kind and compassionate and not know a thing or two about life, I think.

Just a tiny touch of Sci-fi. My geek side shows every so often! Thank you again, as usual!!

It still gets me how perfectly "I changed for me" sums up everything about Pam.

I love that Jim was just devastated with worry that Pam had decided against the date.  And I also laugh that he's seen Bridget Jones.  HEE!

Love you, too, babycakes!

Author's Response:

I think that was the DVD he was swapping with Karen for Christmas- regardless, it is funny to me to think that he'd so easily reference a chick flick...but somehow very Jim.

Glad you like! *kiss kiss*

She got the job!  Yay!  I didn't even notice that part last time.  Heh.  Love the fake tips!

Poor Michael.

Author's Response:

Heh, that part is new since the last version you got to see. I realized I needed to end it a little stronger.

Glad you liked the fake tips- those were hard to come up with!

Loved it.  Jim's teasing about it being "a new dress" was so him - both the words and the reason.  And fabulous that Pam took credit for the proposal that happened at the end of the last chapter!  Can't wait to find out what the last outfit is going to be.

Author's Response:

Thanks for commenting! (Heee)

I think Jim uses humor to cover a lot- but maybe he uses it to mask his pain a lot less now that he is finally with Pam! We need to discuss the last outfit, actually- an e-mail is on the way. Thank you for your review, as always!

Oh wow.  I'm a bit thoughtless like Pam at the moment!  I must say, that was without doubt the funniest piece of fluff I've ever read!  I think you guys nailed their inner voices perfectly.  And the format was so much fun, really unique, but fabulous for post-date self-analysis.  Very glad that Pam called (even though I was secretly hoping Jim would end up driving back to her place!).

Author's Response: Thank you belsum.   Initially I was trying to write what Pam was thinking and it was a real struggle but then I realized that she would not be thinking at all and it all came together.  I'm glad Pam called too.  Thanks for reading as always.  Your reviews always make me smile. :)  xoxoxo
