I was able to reread this story start to finish last week, and I’m still thinking about how great it is! I loved the combination of characters you used and how well you truly nailed the college experience. This is definitely one of my favorite stories on the site! You know, if you ever wanted to come back to writing over here, we’d welcome you with an ice cream cake. Just saying. ;)

Author's Response: Hey Coley, where's that ice cream cake? My favorite ice cream is rocky road. Just saying! ;)

So, I hadn't come across this story before you updated last week, and I devoured the entire thing in one sitting and it... ugh, it's SO good. Every chapter was just so beautifully written and I loved the little ways you changed some of our best Jam moments, and you got rid of Karen, and this was just really a delight to read. I'm so glad you finished it!

Whew! Now that I've gone back and reread this a second time, I think I've finally soaked in all of the awesomeness. Because there was a lot of awesome in this story.

My favorite part of the last chapter was Pam's declaration of wanting to wearing Jim's name. My favorite part of this chapter was the progression of what that actually meant through the years and how it just got better with time.

This chapter wrapped up the entire story so perfectly, but it's also a lovely standalone. You know, like "Second Story!" and well, it made me feel all of the feelings and you're just a really great writer. :)

Oh, this was lovely! I think my favorite part of this chapter was around the middle, beginning when Pam misunderstood his "I can't do this" and continuing through to the end of that scene. The dialogue was spot on and in character and that line about wanting to wear his last name on her shirt? Good stuff!

Summary:

Just as quickly as life can give you everything you've ever wanted, it can take it away on a dime. When tragedy strikes, will Jim and Pam's love be able to stand the tests?

Set during the summer between S2/S3.

For those of you who watched Lost or Once Upon a Time, the theme of flashbacks will be heavily played with in this one :)

Um, I want to do crossword puzzles with Jim now, so thanks for that image.

I love this story a lot. You really outdid yourself in this chapter, with using the colors to describe Pam's bruises, having "that's what she said" be one of her first memories, and the golf pencil... It's a lot of goodness crammed into one chapter and I need more soon!

I don’t know what’s more heartbreaking: Jim’s breakdown to Larisa or Jim helping Pam plan a wedding she thinks is to another guy.

Today’s theme: Roy can go kick rocks.

The flash cards! I’m dead. That was so adorable and I loved all of it. How many times has Stanley cheated? We truly do not know.

Who knew Jim could be so arts and crafty? I don’t hate it. I don’t hate it at all.

Author's Response:

*New idea: Roy kicks rocks in next chapter*... ;)

Thank you! I had a lot of fun writing this one for sure.

Roy kicked rocks!

I don’t like this whole ‘Roy suddenly has a conscience and is going to behave’ nonsense but I’m going along with it because I trust you.

That being said, come on Pam’s memories - they’re so close! Poor Jim. And poor Penny - I keep waiting and hoping she gets fed up and spills the beans but it’s fine, I’m enjoying the teasing and the familiarity and come on Pam... look how your family is around Jim... don’t fall for Roy’s sudden appearance. Daisies don’t make up for that tacky apron.

Lol, I really do love this story!

Author's Response:

He did! :)

He has a conscience for a specific reason, just hold on, lol. Thanks, darlin'!

Way to go, Roy. Ugh.

Oh dear, poor Pam! And just when she was starting to finally get somewhere remembering things on her own too.

Things I loved: the air five and the video, of course. Everyone behaved exactly as we’d expect them to in that video.

Jimbo’s gonna have some explaining to do, isn’t he?

Author's Response:

Why do I have, "Oh Lucyyyyyy you've got some 'splainin' to do?" going through my head now?

But yeah, lots of explaining and angst coming our way. But really, can you spell "Jam" without "angst" in the middle?

*gasp* How dare you!

I didn't think Jim could get much better but then you put him in a waiting room with the cutest little girl ever and Hannah Montana and he's... well, he's even more dreamy.

Now Pam just needs to see how dreamy he is.

No. No, no, no, I refuse to feel bad for Roy here. Except maybe I do. A teensy tiny bit. But not enough to change anything. He's still dumb and I don't like him.

You know who I do like though? Penny. Penny's a great sister and I love that she was there to be the voice of reason for Pam this chapter. I too, can be persuaded to do just about anything for a blueberry muffin, so well played, Penny.

She cant let go of the t-shirt. Let him in, Pam!

Cece, you brilliant, adorable, little angel! This chapter is so great.

I love the flashbacks you've come up with in this story - the little sprinkles of their progressing relationship. It makes the current time even more heartbreaking. Not to state the obvious or anything, but it'd really be swell if Pam got her memory back soon.

But honestly, as long as you keep piecing them back together the way you started to in this chapter, I'm okay with waiting too.

Aw Dwight, ya old softy.

I love that out of all of the things Pam could start remembering, its crabs and the NBA that break through to her. It's so great.

But also, hi there mysterious nicknames and slightly flirty text messages.

I have no idea where this is going... I mean, I do as in big picture, but I have no idea what the next memories or interactions are going to be, and I'm okay with waiting to see.

Oh, yay for Penny! I love the sister dynamic here. Pam’s waterfall of emotions from sad to angry to inspired seems completely in character and makes total sense. Who hasn’t had an epiphany in the middle of a dance floor, right? ;)

And yeah. Still wanting to hug Jim. I can’t wait to read more!

Author's Response: Right? All my life altering realizations have happened while out on the dance floor. Well maybe not all, but at least one or two. Thank you for reading and reviewing!

This was another great chapter! Jim's need to be busy rang really true and I loved his trying to make friends in an almost hostile office with minimal results. You're too good for them, Jim.

Back off, Karen. Back off now.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! And yeah, Karen, if we could just make her go away that’d be great. Ugh. But conflict makes for a good story and a happy ending, so she has to stay around for a while. Unfortunately.

Holy... what a beautiful and heartbreaking chapter! You write both characters so well but I especially love your insight into Jim.

Can we all just hug crying Jim?

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I would absolutely LOVE to hug crying Jim—wouldn’t we all? If only.

Summary: Pam said she wanted to take things slow. So this is how it all goes down (in some cases, quite literally). The aforementioned, multi-chapter, essentially plotless smut-fest that I've been promising. Essentially smut for smut's sake, since we really saw next to nothing on air. Enjoy ;)

God, could they be any cuter?

Poor Pam, she must have been super exhausted to fall asleep on Jim that second time, but I'd say they definitely more than made up for it the next day.

As great as the sexy fun times were, the best parts of this chapter were Jim realizing how set in their relationship they were - the taking care of her comforter and getting her settled for sleep while she was already sleeping. He's the best.

Who am I kidding? They're the best. Especially your version of them.

Pam sure has come a long way since chapter 1, hasn't she?

It's fine - no one ever actually pays attention to the PowerPoint presentations. Don't sweat it, Jim.

I really enjoy how sassy Pam is throughout this entire chapter... definitely laughed out loud at "The sky is blue. What's it to you?"

Who knew beets and Harry Potter would be such an irresistible combination that Pam wouldn't be able to keep her hands to herself?

I don't even know what to say about this one other than it's easily one of my favorite chapters of this story so far. Everything about it was perfect.

*swallows*

Well.

Remember how I said the last chapter was my favorite? Totally kidding.

Holy fuck, AG. *toasts you with a glass of holy water*

I LIKE Possessive Jim. Let's see more of him and less of Jealous Pam. Although, I'd say he um, effed the jealous right out of her.

How do you do it though? How do you go from searing sexiness for a couple of thousand words and move seamlessly into the last few paragraphs of sweet and lovely and ugh... I'm running out of adjectives to use to complement this story.

Please never end it.

This is the chapter that just kept on giving, and I for one, am thankful for it!

I loved everything from Pam panic cleaning Jim’s place to Sangria and football on Black Friday. Jim’s rapid turn from grandma charmer to instant fear of Meemaw was pretty perfect but of course he managed to win her over in the end. Amazing.

Also amazing? The movie theater and then the return of drunk handsy Beesly in the car! So good. Even when they’re being ridiculosly sexy in the best of ways, I love that they’re always still just trying to take care of each other.

Cheers to you, your wine, and this chapter!

Author's Response:

Drunk Handsy Beesly is just hibernating ;)

I loved playing around with their different panicy holiday quirks, so I’m glad you liked it!

Hi, I’ve got the humor of a 12 year old and I’m giggling like mad that I’m the 69th review of this story and that it happened on this chapter. Nice.

I don’t even know what to say, agian. Everything is Just. So. Good. You string words and phrases together in such a beautiful way that I didn’t even know was possible and you have consistently kept this entire story sexy and sweet at the same time and none of the chapters have fallen flat. I laughed at “you bet your balls they can” and then minutes later I was squealing over how perfect the line “it was my name on her lips on my cock” and I don’t know how you do it, but just don’t stop anytime soon, okay? Okay.

Really can’t wait for Part 2!

Reviewer: Coley Signed
Date: June 04, 2019 Title: Chapter 20: The One With the Snow Day Pt. 2

Obviously I love the sexy parts of this chapter - and it's a damn good chapter, but I was so delighted by this paragraph: "It was no use arguing. I tried plenty of times as she was getting dressed (definitely tried to steal her clothes. Definitely tried to undress her several times. Definitely got slapped), as she was brushing her teeth (kissed up and down her neck while standing behind her. Tried several times to cop a feel. Ended up with toothpaste in my hair), while she made us breakfast (plopped her down on the counter, snuck my hands under her shirt. She ate the last pancake in protest. Rude)"

Even their silent banter is perfect.

That's one way to make snow angels.

I really love that as their relationship gets stronger and more stable, they're getting comfortable enough with each other to be a little more daring - a little riskier - and that they're constantly checking in with each other to make sure things are okay before they get too far.

It's just such a healthy relationship and I'm so proud of them, okay?!

I’ll be back with a full review (for both new chapters) soon but listen. This is important.

Seeing as how Jim is 6’3”, I think ‘dainty’ is subjective and probably best case scenario in times like this and no, I haven’t given this any thought at all, why would you even ask that?

This story is the best. Truly.

Reviewer: Coley Signed

So, because you already know I think you're one of the best smut writers ever, I'm just going to assume that you know I enjoyed those parts of this chapter and instead, I'm gonna focus on the non-sexy details and things that I loved that stood out to me.

You know, like all of Jim's family giving Pam Bath and Body Works gifts. And Jim not knowing how to use chopsticks. The faded lipstick stain on his sweater that he didn't notice but she did. And that Jim stopped to grab cookies on the way to bed.

Seriously, please don't ever stop writing, okay?

This is not my official review, but this is me saying that I see you with Pam’s plate of pickles and Jim’s crackers and Swiss cheese. Well played.

Author's Response:

You are the first person to say anything omg he subject, so kudos!
