I've been writing fanfiction for awhile now. Just recently discovered The Office and figured I'd try my hand at that as well.

At first I thought of having all my stories in the same universe, but then I had some AU ideas. So any stories that occur within a common universe will be in a given series.

Summary:

An unexpected threat surfaces, testing Jim and Pam's deepening bond in ways neither could have anticipated.

The sequel to Freedom First. Intrigue, drama, sprinkled with fluff, smutty in all the right places (and a few of the wrong ones).

AU: Cameras, cameras everywhere, with a far more sinister purpose. Set in a dystopian version of America, but the people aren't taking it lying down.

Forget a bit of what I said last chapter. I mean if there's ever a time for the first declaration of love, I mean, that would be it. Very sensual and then tender afterwards.

Pam picking up the guitar and being so proud of herself is all sorts of adorable. And Jim comes in and it blows his socks off was great to see as well. They really are wonderful together in a space like this. Now of course because of the setting there's an underlying edge of tension to be sure, but at the same time it's great to see them like this as well.

So I have to admit, I just got done with my second read through of this fic because it's just that good. I love the way you put so much detail into this relationship. How real you made the characters. I'm usually one to prefer canon-correct stories rather than most AU's. Not so with this one. Thanks for a great read.

Talk about a blast from the past. I went back and re-read the last chapter before reading this latest update. First of the near-sex dream was great way to start off this chapter. Really set the tone for the kind of confused feelings she'd be facing. On a scale of 0-10 for awkwardness this felt around a 4 for me. It could have been a lot worse. They were still bantering with each other there in the morning, still having fun, still friends. I really liked that they did acknowledge what happened on the couch. Nice to see some more direct communication from those two. However I really liked what Jim had to say. It may not be 100% what he wanted to say but it felt like enough. Enough to keep Pam's thoughts going that is.

Then the comparison between the two is so stark. Jim takes care of her, cooks her breakfast, gets her things. Roy can't even be bothered to pick up breakfast, ignores her for bed, then basically demands she make him lunch. Yeah, not a hard comparison.

Hopefully we see a new update sooner rather than later, but we'll still take anything we can get.

At long last we start to get Pam's perspective. Been waiting very anxiously for this chapter I can assure you. I think you did well capturing the feelings Pam must be going through. The pain and confusion of three lost years would be enough to stretch anyone to their breaking point. And yet I sense Pam's not broken yet, though she's very close to the edge. A few cracks to be sure, but not all the way broken. The connection she has with Jim is just that much more stronger to keep her together, though she may not know it yet. Hope to see more soon.

Yay! An update! And it's a good one too! Dwight being nice to Jim like that was a nice touch. Shows that they're really the best of frenemies.

Of course the highlights are of Pam starting to recall things and feelings. I loved how Jim is Pickles in her phone. Seeing them start to reconnect like this, after everything, is very sweet. Hopefully we'll see it continue in forthcoming updates.

You consider this a filler chapter? Really? The depth of emotions here are far too widespread and complex to call this a filler chapter. For example, one can almost see Jim's heart about to shatter there near the end when Pam starts off that sentence with, "I can't." I mean seriously, this is a great chapter for this story.

Part of life is dealing with all the ups and downs. It may be a bit unfortunate that Pam has to re-live some of the downs, but she'll also get to re-live all the ups as well.

"I can't remember being with you Jim, but I can feel it." All this while I've been kind of picturing this kind of wide chasm separating Pam from her memories of Jim. There have been times where there have been bridging attempts. Until now though, they've come close to fixing a line across to re-build a bridge to Jim but none has really stood up. Now though, at least for me with that sentence of Pam's, there's a thin, but solid cable across that chasm. Something that will stick and stay secure. Something both Jim and Pam can build on to bring themselves back to each other.

A filler chapter? Far be it from me to put words into the mouth of an author, but personally I don't see this as such. Great job as always.

Nice chapter here. The flashback was very sweet as was their interaction in Pam's bedroom. She so much wants to remember.

Like I said in my review last chapter, there looks like there's a cable across the chasm separating her from her memories of Jim. It may be slow, but it's being added to and it looks like Pam really want's to keep building on it. Great writing as always.

Wow! Of all the things I thought might happen, having Roy do that was no where near being on my radar. It's such a change from the Roy usually seen in fic. I like the change. Roy has let her go and now just wants her to be happy. It's really a great thing to see.

The walk around the office was great.I really liked that Michael had one of his rare moments where he's actually a good man rather than the man-child he usually is.

Pam reaching out so desperately for Jim like this though? Brilliant. Not sure what else to say other than that.

This certianly has been a long time coming. I know I've been looking forward to this update for just about forever and boy did you deliver. I loved the flashback at the start. It was great to see them like that. It set the rest of the chapter up perfectly.

I loved Jim here. How he just knows that the only thing he should do is just hold her. It's at the same time the most simple and yet the most profound thing he can do for her. You describe everything so well here it's hard to narrow down anything.

I get the feeling that the dam holding her memories back isn't broken exactly. Rather whoever it was who was in charge of keeping the floodgates up got distracted when the images on that DVD showed up. They leaned forward on the control lever which released an inadvertant flood over the walls of the dam. It didn't break the dam, but did send a rush of water down the valley that carried off a lot of debris that had been choking the river. Enough for Pam to realize, if not exactly remember that link she shares with Jim.

That last image of them sitting in bed there, with Pam declaring her love for him again? Beautiful, just simply beautiful.

Wonderful way to wrap this up. It's all very sweet and at the same time very real. I do appreciate that while there is a happy ending, there is also the very real after effects of the whole ordeal. Jim's sleeplessness, Pam not quite remembering everything, everyone starting out on eggshells around her. All seem like very likely outcomes of everything.

Thank you for including an update with Ben, Annie, Cece, and Nora. They were a delightful part of the whole process and it was great to see them again. Little Cece is still adorable with her bluntness that's right on track. She's one of my favorite OC's on the whole archive by the way.

It's been awhile to come to this point, but thanks for not leaving it in limbo. I've enjoyed it throughout and will continue to enjoy re-reading it in the future.

I started reading this one over on fanfiction.net then saw it was also posted here. Very well done. I work in the medical field and this seems very realistic. I really like how Jim has been drawing Pam out. It's slow, but steady and appears to be working. Well done, it's very easy to picture the scenes while reading.

Very interesting to get Roy's perspective too. I know he gets a lot of flack. I think you wrote him very well. Obviously he went through a lot too and I think it's good to see some of that. Even if he can still go kick rocks.

This is one of, if not the best, "pushing the beds together at the farm," stories I've read. Well done AG. With so much angst that there is in the early JAM relationship, it's always great to see that they truly are meant for each other. This was a ton of fun. From the restrained formallity of Thanksgiving with Meemaw to the party that was the Halpert clan gathering. Like I said in a previous review, it's great to see that you're bringing out the characters in this story. Yes the smut is what draws one in, but once there the characters are the ones who add depth.

Happy Thanksgiving, hope you don't have to bad of a hangover.

Very sexy way for Jim and Pam to reconnect after what sounds like a crazy holiday time for them. Descriptive as always. I really like that Pam set up just a nice quiet evening for them before the real action began. Oftentimes it's moments like that, that show how special a relationship can be and this one turned out great.
