Author of the Month March 2020

I've been writing fanfiction for awhile now. Just recently discovered The Office and figured I'd try my hand at that as well.

At first I thought of having all my stories in the same universe, but then I had some AU ideas. So any stories that occur within a common universe will be in a given series.

You're right not a lot of JAM, but it felt like a good set up. Nice to have Is as Pam's hype-girl. Not that Pam needs any encouragement to see Jim, but just a push in the right direction isn't hurting anyone. Also to make sure she tells Jim about the boys. I've got a feeling it's going to be a shock for him to be sure. But if this is going where I think it is, I'm sure he'll be able to get over his shock fairly quickly.

Very much looking forward to the date after all this time and set up. Hope to see a new update soon.

Author's Response: Thank you for your kind words! Yes, a hype-girl is always needed! Yes, the boys will be told during their date. Pinky promise!

Super cute lead up to everything. I love how Jim is just chomping at the bit to get out of work so he can get Pam. How all the driving he was doing seemed to be over in a flash because of his excitment.

Though we're still left hanging about the boys. I've got a feeling you're waiting for a Pam POV chapter to delve into that, so that's ok.

Lovely to see an update.

Author's Response:

Yes, Jim 1000% wanted to be the "yes man" at the Camden branch to get to Pam. Yes, that drive is a bit long from the outskirts of Philly to Scranton (2 hours), but nerves and excitement make the time go SO much faster.

BINGO. You got it. It would make more sense that a Pam POV delves into her kids, her nerves about telling him...her hesitation as to why she didn't...

Thanks Warrior, always appreciate your reviews!

Getting kind of hot and heavy right from the off. However a quick slow down for some real honesty between the two of them. Pam saved the note and the medal! That's all sorts of adorable. Finally she can give it to him.

Also good on her for finally telling Jim about the boys. Really glad he takes that in stride. I'm sure it's a bit of a shock though.

Then of course they're finally fully together. Very detailed and sexy.

Glad you picked this one back up. Great job.

Author's Response:

Thank you! It's absolutely a shock for Jim. Going from believing she has no ties to her past marriage to, surprise! Two kids! But, he does honestly want to be apart of that side of her life!

Yes, the honesty is needed! And the note and medal make a grand appearance here!

Thanks again!

Oh we have to see what happens after all this. I mean for Pam to figure out that Jim is in love with her this early and not do anything about it? Especially with those doubts she's having about Roy? Yes please continue!

I loved the backstory for the Bonus Gifts. It's always fun to see what people can come up with for those. Likewise the songs behind them. Pam's picture for Jim was equally sweet. As was his reaction to it. Delightful text banter as well.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm so glad you liked what I did with the bonus gifts. It was a lot of fun for this Office newbie :). I have definitely taken your advice and have continued this fic as an AU sequel called "New Year's Eve." I hope you get the chance to read it and let me know what you think.

You three are working together? Good thing I got three new bottles of whiskey for Christmas, I might need them by the time this is all said and done. Kidding of course.

Great way to start things off here. I really liked that Pam want to show Jim more of where she grew up and also start making memories with him there too. I loved their banter throughout their adventure too.

And of course as richly detailed and steamy as anything else you three have written in the past. Lovely version of Jim and Pam's first Christmas together.

You three are just having to much fun with this project. Christmas, smut writing and everything in between. Not that I'm complaining in any way shape or form.

Now that's one way to decorate a gingerbread house. I do find it quite funny that it's Jim's junior high level of humor in describing his attempts at decorating that get this all going. And that Pam is right there in her lovely optimistic way to try and cheer him up. Mission accomplished, though maybe not quite how she was originally intending. Lovely to see them just young, in love, and just going for each other like this. Lots of fun to lean into the connection like this.

Kinda had me going there for a minute. Even with some booze in her system I personally don't see Pam getting into that kind of situation. So having it all be a dream was creative way to write this chapter. Not to say that the writing wasn't good or anything like that.

Reviewer: warrior4 Signed 1

That definitely brings out their more creative side to problem solving. And in keeping with the theme too. Nicely done. Something tells me that when they get back together after that not-so-little tryst they're going to be inseparable for a good long while.

Not going to lie, when I read, "golden cock ring," I actually facepalmed and muttered "Oh dear god." That being said, the reasoning's for why the procurement of said object though showed a delightful side to them.

They do enjoy being with each other. They're not afraid to be honest, and thus such things are a way of building a deeper connection.

Of course the actual smut was as vivid and descriptive as anything else you've written. Nicely done.

I'll say this much for the three of you. You're certainly adept at find new interpretations for the verses of this song.

That being said, lovely to see the Dwight/Angela-Jim/Pam friendship still strong. Of course there's still jokes to be made, but it's a nice touch. I also really liked checking in with their families. I totally get where Pam's coming from. In her later years my grandma got attached to a new guy that the rest of the family detested. We played nice for her sake, but the guy was just a jerk. I feel ya Pam. Loathe away.

All that of course does lead up nicely to their time alone together. Wonderful buildup through kissing, caressing, and then just going for it. They still have such passion for each other. It's wonderful to read. Thank you for writing them like this.

Okay, I'll get to reading the rest of this chapter in a second. But first let me just get this out of my whiskey loving system. Holy shit Pappy 23! *drools in envy* Yeah, make sure that gets hidden away somewhere safe. Yeah, other than dreaming about a bourbon like that, I got nothing else other than wishing I could be sipping on a dram right now while reading this. Also no as I have to leave for work in an hour. Dear god please let the weekend get here fast.

No wonder Jim and Pam need a break. Both of their families over for Christmas and New Years? Yeah, I'd probably go a little crazy too. However the way they go about reconnecting here is just lovely. Great scene setting with the hot tub and outdoor escape area. Very romantic. Gotta love Betsy and Gerry here. They're just the best and I love how they're portrayed in this chapter.

The spider-deer hat! Here I was enjoying a nice guilty pleasure story before heading into work and of all the things, ALL THE THINGS, the spider-deer hat shows up. I'm just glad I wasn't eating or drinking anything at the time. *slow clap* Bravo. Okay, onto the rest of the chapter.

As for the rest. I mean yeah, what else is there to say that hasn't been said already. Your gift for description and setting the scene are rightly on display here. It's just so much fun seeing Jim and Pam so in love like this when they're intimate with each other.

I love how you write the Halperts, really I do. Betsy is just a fun character here. Steaming ahead with all the momentum of an aircraft carrier at full steam to make sure she has the family Christmas time she wants.

Great buildup with the whispers and soft touches between Jim and Pam there in the theater. Especially when Larissa started talking to. It was as if we could actually see Pam glowing from all the blushing. Which of course Jim enjoys entirely to much.

Then of course their "not-so-quickie" in the closet. Hot, steamy, vivid, pick your adjective. And then to have Larrisa be the one to find them like that. Just great. I can totally see Tom and Pete cheering and high fiving while their wives look on with a combination of bemusement and "why don't we do things like this anymore" while the nieces and nephews are wondering what they're all cheering about.

Kinda fun to think that this is how Pam finally feels like she belongs. However I totally get why she'd take Betsy to the ballet from then on out.

Well worth the wait.

Bravo DC for your part in all of this. From a guy who was dragged to the Nutcracker for years thanks to two sisters who danced in it for all those years, I'm with you Jim. At least he could have a beer during intermission. I just was grateful for the opportunity to stretch my legs. Anyway I digress.

Lovely way to wrap up your part in all of this. Delightful to see that Jim and Pam are still doing everything to connect with each other. The images of them in their fancy clothes heading out on the town was lovely. Then everything with the remote and the secret bathroom was just devilishly good fun. Great job as always.

Well that was quite worth the wait. In addition to it being all sorts of steamy in all the right ways, I once again love how Jim and Pam in Austin love each other like this. They take the time to be good parents but they're also making sure to be good with each other. Makes scenes like this all the more sweet because we know how much they mean for each other.

Also loved all the references to Pam being a baker. Lovely when art can imitate life like that too.

Great job on you entire part of this.

Uhhhhhh.....

(Has an image of AG whispering to her co-conspirators, "I think we broke his brain")

Now that's one hell of a way to have that turn out right. To have Pam storming over like that to demand to know what's up with the teapot. Bravo. Likewise to add in extra bonus gifts. Absolutely wonderful extension of the teapot.

All the rolling emotions going through everything here were a delight to read. All of which was just a great build-up to the backseat. As for that, I mean I don't think there's anything else that needs be said. No, that ending doesn't disappoint at all.

Just wow to everything this whole story has been. Thank you you three for sharing it with us all.

This was wonderful! I really liked the new take on the whole Ghost of Christmas Future thing. Just like in "A Christmas Carol" it's really the preview of what's to come that causes a lot of the change in our main character. The difference between both of Pam's future's was very telling. The future with Roy, dull and the same. The future with Jim warm and loving. Yeah, not a hard choice.

I also really loved that it was Jim who was right there at her side while she was unresponsive on the floor. Good job Jim. That she doesn't reject the teapot for the iPod and thus gets the card, which leads to her right choice was just all sorts of sweet. Great job.

And January is a fine time for more Christmas stories. Any time is a fine time for more Christmas stories.

Author's Response: Thanks Warrior! Wishing you all the best for the new year. We’ll see about that other Christmas story... it make take me until December to finish it after all...

Nice follow up to the first fic. Yeah, you've got Ryan being a little prick here with everything. Good on ya Pam to shoot him down in more ways than one.

Jim getting more and more nervous as the night goes on seems very in keeping. Of course he notices everything about her. I wonder what was going through her head as she got all done up for the party? Was she just trying to feel pretty for herself? A rare chance to get a little dolled up that normally doesn't happen? Maybe wanting to impress a certain someone? Made me wonder.

That midnight kiss though. Lots of hope, fear, wonder, all wrapped up in one. Then to have her run off like that? Yeah, I get why Jim needs to hurl. Really looking forward to seeing how the rest of this pans out.

Author's Response: Thanks so much for continuing reading my story! Your thoughts about what Jim might have been thinking make me wish I'd focused on that a little more, lol. I just posted part 2. Hope you get the chance to read it.

Can someone punch Ryan please? It seems he kinda deserves a punching. Not necessarily in the throat mind you, but a decent black eye.

Okay so now that I've got that out of my system. Yeah, I think it makes sense that they don't just run off together. You've got them admitting or realizing some very big about each other. I like that Pam says she needs some time to process. Lots of heavy emotions filled with a lot of implications.

I also liked flipping around the falling asleep on the shoulder idea. Since that scene also gives her a chance to have a brief but important heart-to-heart with Jim's Dad.

Great depth throughout everything here.

Author's Response: Yeah, Ryan is my least favorite character on the show. There's just something so...slimy about him, lol. I'm glad you like the scene with Pam and Jim's dad. Thanks so much for all your kind words. I just posted the final chapter!

Very nice way to wrap this all up. Good on Jim for listening to his Dad's advice. He did need to get his feelings out there and to do it like that before a drunken Roy on a boat could say anything paid dividends for both of them.

I also like how Pam was right. She needed time to think about her feelings and then end the relationship the right way. However her knowing that there was something better waiting for her on the other side no doubt gave her the courage to see it all through.

Lovely writing, and a lovely story. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh Dwight. Occasionally you have your moments of brilliance, but this is not one of them. There he goes rushing to fix something out of his league and makes a mess of it. Seems very fitting.

The dialogue came off well. I thought. I like how it's Pam who has the silver lining thought here. Very lovely for her to think of something like that. Still doing great with this.

Nice on getting some of Michael's Michael-ness in there. I know a lot of people sometimes find it hard to write him because he's so out there. However this seemed well in keeping with what we see in the show. Good intro for the character. Seems like a good set up for whatever it is you've got coming next.

Author's Response: Thanks! I did have a really hard time writing Michael, but then I just figured, what would be the most inappropriate thing to assume here? And just went with it.
