It was a lot easier to follow this chapter, well done.

I hope someone can talk some sense into Pam, not having your voice heard in a relationship is not really a foundation for success.

Looking forward to reading more!

Author's Response:

Thank you!

I guess the first step is to admit you have a problem... and Pam is making (or about to make) it. I'm hopeful about it :)

You got me with the pump fake on the phone call. I was all 'Noooo you can't say that while drunk Jim!'

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this progresses, keep up the good work.

Author's Response:

Thank you! I'm terrible with jokes and I'm excited when they work out well :)

Wow, that's one way to really remove Roy from the picture, just straight up exile him! I really liked Pam's take on that confrontation, just waiting for any sign that Roy was as invested in the relationship as she was... And getting nothing.

Well done, looking forward to how Pam copes with her newfound independence.

Author's Response:

Thank you so much! I spent a lot of time thinking about what could be the reason for Pam to left Roy without Jim's confession and ended up with this. Glad it turned out well :)

Hope you'll find an answer in the next chapter (or two)!

I'm glad Pam's gained her independence, now I just want to see her happy! You've written the mood so well in this chapters because it really feels like a great trouble at the same time as a triumph. Looking forward to seeing how Pam moves forward with her new life.

Author's Response: Thank you so much, DG! Since LotR ending, I have a soft spot for bittersweetness, and I'm glad that I could show a hint of that in the chapter.

I feel like you got to cover a lot of ground in this chapter, and I like that Pam is starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, even if she's not quite there yet.

The scene with Karen's comment pushing her over the edge was heart wrenching, and I'm really glad those ladies were there for her in the aftermath.

There a lot a of small details that you sprinkle in that I just love, it really fleshes out the backdrop that you're painting with the story.

Great chapter as always, and I look forward to Pam getting to explore her art.

Author's Response: Thank you very much for your review! This story is important to me, and I truly appreciate your feedback! Also, I'm glad you like it :)

Now that's just cruel, 'how much was a dream...' for the sake of my sanity I'm going with none. Poor Jim. I like that they were both eager and showed up early, this can only mean good things I hope. I'm glad that Pam isn't too sad anymore, and I look forward to her finding happiness... With Jim of course.

Author's Response: Thank you for your review, DG! I'm not cruel, though, and I hope the next chapter will prove that ;)

I didn't have time to review this at my time of reading, so sorry that this isn't more in-depth. My thoughts on this chapter can be safely summed up with a fist pump and 'Yes~!'.

Author's Response: Yay! I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter that much :)

Thank you so much for sharing this story with us, it's been a great ride!

I love the warmth and contentedness of this chapter, it's really a balm to the earlier chapters of angst, uncertainty, and worry. I also loved the inclusion of the callback to the postcard that Pam sent on the day of their first kiss.

Quick aside to the postcards they sent out, I live near one of those locations! So it's like being told hello... fictionally! ;)

Going back a little, of course Pam likes her berries mixed, that got a chuckle and a smile out of me.

I wouldn't be opposed to a sequel, but I think you probably knew that already. I'll even forgive you for making them cat people!

Author's Response:

Thank you for reading and reviewing, DG! It means a lot to me. And I'm glad you like the story even though I made them cat people (but keeping a dog in a rental apartment is too difficult...)

Summary:

An AU version of Season 3's "Beach Games." What if Karen wasn't there for beach day? What would that mean for Pam and Jim? A little romance with a touch of mild angst.

Not gonna lie, you got me feeling kinda bad for Karen. A death in the family is not a fun time, even if it is a distant relation. Karen is off comforting her mom, and Jim gets to reconnect with Pam. I hope Jim doesn't do anything too drastic on the beach.

The egg scene was especially effective for driving the point home of how distant and hurt these two are at this point, I really disliked it- in a good way.

Really enjoying the premise though, looking forward to reading more.

Author's Response: Yes, losing someone is hard and sad (I just lost my mom 2 months ago), but I tried to think of something serious enough (but not too terrible) that would keep Karen from being there to watch over Jim and Pam, and this was the best I could do. I'm glad you are hanging in there for more. Thanks for the review!

The sumo section was a lot of fun, I really enjoyed that. If I had to pick a winner logically it'd be Jim. If it's all for fun and furthering the plot, I'll say Pam as my final answer.

Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Yes, logically, Jim should win...please read chapter 3 to see what happens :)

That was great. I love that Jim was able to see Pam do the coal walk, it added to the impact I felt.

Looking forward to what's going on in Jim's head here.

Author's Response: I really wish he'd seen her on the coal walk too. Isn't fanfiction fun? Thanks for the review. Chapter 4 is up now!

I'm glad Andy's on board. The impromptu duel was a funny addition, got a chuckle there.

Looking forward to seeing how Karen is handled.

Author's Response: Thank you! So glad you got a laugh! Mission accomplished :)

I'm happy that Jim and Karen got a somewhat amicable split, but I can't help being upset at Karen on Jim's behalf! Ok, that's a bit of a double standard I know.

Good read, looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Yes, cheating is always wrong, but I hope I conveyed how Jim had been cheating in his heart too, so they are equally to blame. In the end, it makes sense they should break up, right? Thanks for the review. Chapter 6 is up now!

"She presented the navy blue cap to him, with the words, Life’s a Beach emblazoned upon it in white letters"

That was a perfect roll credits moment, good going.

This story was a great ride and I'm sad to see it end, but I have no doubt you'll ensnare us in the next one, looking forward to that.

Thanks for writing this for us!

Author's Response: I appreciate you pointing out the details you liked. Thanks so much for coming with me through this fic.

Summary:

AU from “Negotiations”; Roy isn’t in the mood for closure. Pam suffers the consequences and rises from the ashes, while Jim tries to find his way back to her.

Ouch, right in the feels with that last line. The writing for this chapter was on point and really set the mood. Great work.

Author's Response: Thank you! I'm really glad it felt not out of place.

Yikes, the mood of the writing is on point, you're stressing me out over here friend.

Looking forward to more.

Author's Response: Hahahaha thank you! I live to stress people out :D

It's so sad to see Pam lose faith in those around her like this, if totally understandable. I really hope Jim can get his head out of his ass and let his actions speak for him, to repair the tatters of their relationship.

Looking forward to more. Personally, I don't seek out angst, but you're doing a great job, so you do you and pace it as you see fit.

Aw man, yikes. Jim really rustles my jimmies in this story - and in S3 in general. This chapter was really hard to read, especially the last couple lines, ouch!

You're doing a really great job colouring the mood here, can't wait to see what you have in store for us next.

Interesting premise, I look forward to seeing where you go with it!

Of course on Dwight watch he's the one wishing for another plauge.

Author's Response: I figured a busy train would be perfect for Dwight to say that in this context, thank you for reading and reviewing!

The banter was great. I would have been really mad if she was already Pam Anderson; lucky us she doesn't have a ring yet... maybe.

Looking forward to where you go from here!

Author's Response: Thank you! I was actually worried about the banter, it was taking me a while to get right. Yeah, I was thinking about how I would’ve felt reading ‘Pam Anderson’ and it would’ve broken my heart.

Roy is over party indeed, that was pretty gutsy all around, I'm interested to see how Pam grows. It's implied that she has already done some growing by convincing roy to let her go to Pratt, so here's hoping for good things with Jim's encouragement.

Author's Response: Exactly, Pam’s a little more brave this time round, so I’d be expecting some more Pam growth soon :)

Summary: Pam needs a fresh start. When Jan Levinson calls from New York with an enticing offer: Come to corporate, take the graphic design internship, and then stay on for the year as a "publicist" to the new wild-child VP--she takes the bait, leading her on the wildest year of her life.

Well this chapter was a great hook, I look forward to seeing how Pam deals with Jim the hotshot. I really liked the casino night reinterpretation, that just seemed right and felt very in character.

Looking forward to more, hopefully. Well add this to the list of things to nag you for updates on our next chat!

Author's Response: Thank you! I look forward to being nagged, I guess... :)

Well, after last week's chat I can't say that I didn't see that one coming, of course Ryan-Jim does blow.

Looking forward to seeing the inevitable trainwreck that will be Pam attempting to do her job!

Summary: A 1960’s AU, where Jim’s neighbour Miss Pamela Beesly is unlike any girl he’s met before.

Colour me intrigued, I've never seen or read any of the inspiration, and now I can't because I don't want to spoil anything!

I really liked the way you wrote Jim's listening, because weirdly it still felt like a conversation.

Looking forward to seeing where you go with this.

Author's Response: Ah, well don’t worry, I won’t be basing it entirely off of it! Thank you so much :)
