Wife, mother (of children, not dragons, generally). Hopeless romantic, massive JAM shipper.
Also present on FanFiction.Net under the same name, where I wrote a fair number of stories for Bones, which for over ten years was the TV love of my life. Until now.
I’m still fairly new to The (US) Office, but as a Brit, I was really into the UK version and wasn’t too sure about this upstart US reboot, even with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant’s input. I’d seen a few episodes over the years, knew vaguely about the Jim/Pam storyline and that there was chemistry, but not really clicked on how good it was, and as for the rest, the little I’d seen? Well, Craig Robinson is Doug Judy in B99 to me, Rashida Jones - Ann Perkins in Parks and Rec; and I didn’t even know that Ellie Kemper and Ed Helms had been in it for several seasons, let alone James Spader and CATHERINE TATE?! Then I binge-watched it all the way through early in UK lockdown in Spring 2020 and suddenly it all clicked, and I fell hard for JAM. Really hard.
I’ve now watched some episodes several times, but I’m following via the Office Ladies podcast, so I’m really getting into the detail of the show itself as well as the love story.
In real life I have my own Jim (although his name isn’t Jim and he doesn’t work in paper, but he is lovely), two teenagers, a naughty Beagle and a cheeky Jack Russell. I work in the IT Industry.
He lets her in. Post-Casino Night.
1 Eighteen years since this was written, I don’t think I’ve even seen it before and it is an absolutely lovely turn of events post-CN.
1 This was *really* good and gave me the most clarity and empathy for Karen that I’ve ever considered. The way you’ve written this really does put the reader in her shoes. Nice job.
1 This was really good. AU, but not *that* AU that it's not very plausible as something that might have happened. Nice work.
Michael decides to take his sales dream team on a little trip and pulls Pam along for the ride. Spoilers through Cocktails.I know this was written some years ago, but thought deserved a review. On the one hand this was brilliantly written and very absorbing, but I also wasted over an hour of my life for Pam and RYAN?! That’s should have had a warning! Absolutely abhorrent as an end for me I’m afraid (I should have seen it coming) Congrats on the excellent writing though. JAM FOREVER!
Michael’s leaning forward on his elbows, staring at her across his desk. “That was definitely heroic and, if I may say so, romantical of you. Well done.” While he shoots her what is meant to be a congratulatory grin, Pam stares down at the teal glass shards in her laps, still clutching the ice pack, trying desperately to pretend that the tears have stopped.
Post-Cocktails.
Nooooooo, such a shame this was never finished, it was so well written!
1 Gutted this story has been abandoned. Absolutely brilliant fun to read. And I want to know how it turns out!
1 This is really good. It’s a shame you didn’t write more, but this stands well on its own.

MEMBER'S CHOICE TOP NOMINEE - Jim and Pam must interact in network sponsored live chats to promote their documentary. Angst (and maybe some smut) ensue.
Story now complete.
Just read this in 2 long sittings. This is a fabulous story, so well written. :)
1 I LOVED the first one of these. I’ve read it multiple times. Didn’t realise you’d written a sequel, which I found this morning, slightly randomly. And it’s awesome, and I’m guessing we are heading for a proposal. But I get to August and then I’m saying out loud:
“Where’s the ‘next’ button?”
PLEASE come back and finish this. It is so well written and just hits all the right shipper spots!
What an under-appreciated story. I absolutely loved this. So sweet, and well written.
1 I wish you'd have finished this. It's so good.
I congratulate you on a beautifully written story. I’m afraid it’s not for me though, Ryan is a douche and I’m too much of a Jam shipper to ever be able to see Pam with him, however well written. I also think Kelly would make a much greater nuisance of herself!
1 I didn’t think I’d enjoy a story about Ryan this much. Really entertaining.
1 All of those surnames come from the town of Heilbronn, a town in southern Germany near Stuttgart. Halpert is a variation on a number of similar names, and yes, Jewish :)
A colorful look at the evolution of Pam and Jim's relationship.
1 That last line - “ When I got home I licked the Snickers wrapper clean, folded it in half, and tucked it into my wallet.”. That’s *exactly what she would do. And there is no way you’d do that for someone who wasn’t someone you love.
1 This did amuse me as we actually went to Disney World in 2012 and Universal just after they’d opened Harry Potter World. It was really good.
Really enjoying this story BTW.

The title says it all.
1 OK Go videos are amazing. I love the one for “The One Thing”
1 I have been on the Staten Island ferry. I’m afraid we didn’t bother getting off, just waited for it to go back the other way. This chapter was hilarious.
This is beautiful, takes me back to the birth of my own daughters, and my husband’s reaction.
The first time she does it, it’s simply to answer a question: how quickly can she pack the essentials and make it out to the car? She doesn’t know exactly why she wonders; something, surely, related to a friend having to pack an overnight bag during a pregnancy or an episode of Oprah or something.I absolutely loved this, and I loved particularly how you captured Pam’s evolving reasoning about what what she was doing it for. Beautifully layered.
If only this had happened on the actual show! Would have saved us all a heap of pain! This was great, I really enjoyed it.
Add me to the “please come back and finish this” list. It is indeed a masterpiece.
1 Worth the wait. Superb.
Answering a story idea from Klutzy Girl on the message board - the documentary airs and Jim watches season 3.
1 This was absolutely lovely.
Shame you didn’t continue with this, was a great start.
