After reading you author’s response,
I have to think that there may have been a little misunderstanding about my review.
I don’t think Pam and Penny’s reaction to the letter as funny in a way of them making fun of Roy’s feelings, because that’s not how they are.
What made me laugh was their shock and reaction to finding out that Roy and Jim are working together in Europe, and how Jim gave advice to Roy about Pam without realizing it.
The cherry on top was Penny’s comment of
Oh shit that really made LOL. 🙂
Author's Response: No worries. The "oh shit" moment was what I was referring to as well. Thanks.

Date: September 02, 2021 Title: Chapter 27: Rekindled
I was so excited to see an update!
I loved the silent communication between
JAM at the game before she struck him out.
It was nice to see Penny and Griff get engaged.
I liked Jim’s reaction to finding out about Roy.
I am a bit nervous about Jim talking to Roy about Pam since Roy does have a bad temper.
After all Roy is in charge of performing important
maintenance on Jim’s plane, so Jim is dependent on Roy for his safety. Please update soon.
Author's Response: Thank you. It was a lot of fun to bring in those elements of Jim and Pam's abilty to communicate non-verbally. Should be interesting with Roy that's for sure. Yes he has a temper, but he's also had some of that drummed out of him by the army. Should be fun to see how it all plays out. Also this review makes Silver Wings my most reviewed story. Thanks for that.

Date: April 11, 2022 Title: Chapter 29: Plans
I always get a jolt of excitement when I see
an update for Silver Wings. I’m a little worried about Jim’s safety since Pam hasn’t received any letters
from him in a while. I like the girls’ plan of trapping Corday by using Michael to do it. It’s smart to keep Michael in the dark about it knowing how he has a big mouth. I can also definitely see Michael trying to impersonate FDR as well. 😂
Please update soon!
Author's Response: Nice to hear that you look forward to updates for this story. I'll work harder on getting new chapters out quicker. It took a few iterations for the plan to come together so I'm glad you like this idea. Regardless of time or place, Michael will still be Michael and thus bad impressions of people. Thanks for the review.

Date: September 07, 2022 Title: Chapter 30: Red Line
Yay!
It’s so great to see an update. Roy seems to
have quickly gotten over Pam, which isn’t surprising. Talking about baseball in Jim’s letter is a clever way to say what he is doing in the war, without it being
blocked by the censors. I am curious about what is going on with Pam and Penny’s parents.
They haven’t been mentioned in a while.
Please update soon!
I’ve really been missing this story!
Author's Response: Glad to have it back too. It's always fun diving into this world. Yeah, Roy's working on himself a bit. I think I've also made him a little more mature here than in canon so that helps. The baseball code has always been a lot of fun to use too. We'll check in on Pam and her family next chapter for sure. Thanks for the review.
Date: June 10, 2021 Title: Chapter 26: Spiraling
Yay you’re back!
I really hope it’s Jim that’s in the olive
uniform!
I have a feeling that Jim and Griff have been writing letters to the girls, but the major is doing something to make sure they aren’t being received. I also think that the major made sure that Pam was able to play baseball so she would be out of his way, so he can keep his scam going.
Pam and Penny’s reaction to Roy’s letter was really funny. 😂
A small part of me actually felt bad for the guy,
but I don’t think his humble attitude would last very long if he and Pam were to get back together. 🤔
Author's Response:
That's an interesting theory about the letters and why Major Cordray would want Pam out of there. I wasn't really going for funny with how they react to Roy's letter, but I could see how that could be a response. I do agree with your assessment of Roy if he were to get back together with Pam. As for who's in the uniform at the end? We'll just have to wait and see.

He was never meant to end up here, to meet her, and to have his life changed forever.

I was wondering if there was a spy working for JAM.
One of the maids was someone I suspected,
but not Julienne.
I don’t trust Thomas. He has a huge chip on his shoulder. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he were to betray James in some way.
I’m also curious as to why Pam has been so tired lately. Could there be a little James on the way? 🤔
It’s good to see that James’s mom has accepted Pam.
Please update soon!!!
Author's Response: I always love to hear the speculations of everyone, it's so interesting. :) Thank you for reviewing!
Date: May 23, 2021 Title: Chapter 12: Only Truth Between Us, Remember?
Yay you’re back!
I’m dying to know who the father of the baby is.
Will we eventually find out?
If James doesn’t like being thought of as the father, and a cheater, then isn’t helping his case by going to places that have prostitution.
Author's Response:
Haha thanks! Will we find out? Perhaps. ;)
And to be honest, the idea that a man of his wealth and influence would *not* encounter prostitution at nearly every turn would not be very historically accurate. In fact, prostitution in the US had its greatest period of growth during the Civil War. Any establishment for men, with the exception of church, would have some level of prostitution so it would not reflect negatively on his character or integrity at all to be at one. His being assumed as the father of the maid's child had more to do with the actions of most wealthy men at the time, not an actual reflection of him in any way. The fact that Pam comes to that realization on her own, while he is at work, speaks to that. She knew the truth of the content of his character, the voices of her past and of the world only drowned out that truth for a moment. Also, I hope that the overarching theme I have tried to establish that James is NOT like most of his contemporaries would show that even though he is surrounded by the opportunity, it doesn't even cross his mind. He's just a better man than that. Lucky Pam. ;)
Thanks so much for the review!

Date: November 10, 2021 Title: Chapter 13: A Bard's Sad Tale
I was so excited to see this back again!
James has really kicked up a hornet’s nest.
If Katie’s family is willing to kill Thomas,
then they sure as hell won’t have a problem going after Pam, especially they think since she’s the reason James didn’t marry Katie.
I had a feeling we were going to see a JAM baby.
No doubt it will make James even more protective
than he was. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Thank you! James certainly has a way of getting himself in predicaments. Lol. Thanks for the review!

Date: April 15, 2022 Title: Chapter 14: Unfinished Souls
The poor Halpert family!
They keep getting hit. It’s no wonder
James is so anxious about Pam’s safety.
After what has been revealed about the marriages
of James’s brothers, it’s no wonder his family didn’t
approve of Pam, at first. They clearly see marriage
more as a business arrangement than for love.
I think that’s why James never would have been
truly happy with Katie. It was like he was trying too hard to love her because he knew that he had to be with Katie. I think James wanted to love Katie more for her sake than his. Which in the long run he wouldn’t have been happy with her.
Much like Karen in canon. Please update soon!
Author's Response: Yes, they have certainly been given their share of trouble. Marriage was absolutely a business arrangement at their social standing and that is what makes James and Pam so delightlfully unique. Very interesting the comparison you draw to Karen. I've never looked at it from that angle before. Thank you so much for the review!

Date: April 21, 2023 Title: Chapter 21: Epilogue
This was such a great story and I’ll miss it,
but I love that you are continuing it with Elysian.
I can’t say I’m surprised that Roy’s family thinks it’s entitled to have what it Pam’s.
Author's Response: Thank you! Thank you so much for your reviews and your support of the story. :)
AU from “Negotiations”; Roy isn’t in the mood for closure. Pam suffers the consequences and rises from the ashes, while Jim tries to find his way back to her.

to be close to Pam?

Date: January 29, 2021 Title: Chapter 7: Waves over the sand
Yes, please don’t give up on this story!
It’s my favorite!
I’m really really missing it!
I think I’ve read it so many times that I have it memorized.
I love that you have each chapter in the different POV of Pam and Jim.
I’m dying to know how, or if, Jim will win
Pam back.
Also maybe see Roy get his comeuppance.

It’s been a year since the last update.
Please give us another chapter.
It will be greatly appreciated. 🙏

Date: October 26, 2020 Title: Chapter 7: Waves over the sand
Yay an update!
I always get a little jolt of excitement when I
see a new chapter for this story.
I am a little confused by this chapter though.
In the last one, that was in Jim’s POV, it seemed as though Pam had already left Scranton for NY,
but in this update she was still there and won’t leave for another 2 months.
I have to admit that I’m loving how Jim and Karen being together no longer bothers Pam,
and how optimistic she is about her future.
It goes to show that the opposite of love really is indifference. Pam being indifferent will probably hurt Jim more than any anger she has towards him.
I wonder if Karen is going to tell Jim that Pam no longer has feelings for him. The way Karen clung on to Jim in the art store shows how pathetic she was in canon.Pam still being polite to them shows who is really the bigger person in their situation.
Please update soon!!

Good for Pam and even good for Karen!
Jim was such an ass in season three so it’s nice to see Pam not letting him walk all over her like she did in canon. I think what annoyed me the most in S3 with Jim is that he acted like he was an innocent victim while he ignored the fact that he was the one that started the problem with Pam in the first place.
A part of me actually wanted Roy to kick Jim’s ass.
Also someone needs to tell Jim that eight months is not ancient history, and that the fact he actually said that only shows Pam that he lied about being in love.
Jim is being very juvenile, which does make him like Roy. Please update soon because I like this more
assertive Pam who doesn’t take any crap. 💪

Date: September 05, 2021 Title: Chapter 43: Chapter 43
I just read Warrior 4’s review, and I agree that I would love to see Pam’s family rip into Roy’s mom for raising such a monster. Especially since Roy’s mom is such a bitch.
Date: September 21, 2021 Title: Chapter 44: Chapter 44
I had a feeling that Roy was from an
abusive childhood.
It was because he thought that what he did to Pam as more of a punishment, which in his mind she brought on herself.
Plus in Pam’s memory Roy was saying that
she is just like all the other girls he had been
with, so there is a clear pattern of abuse
with Roy, and Pam wasn’t the only girl he hurt.
Unfortunately the in typical abuser fashion,
Roy is trying to make himself the victim, and there could be people on the jury that would agree.
I can understand why Pam would lie about going to Penny’s parties. Roy didn’t like Penny because she didn’t think he walked on water, like the parents did, so he tried to isolate the two sisters.
Roy talking about Jim’s pranks was pretty funny, even though it didn’t put Jim in the best light.
Date: October 18, 2021 Title: Chapter 46: Chapter 46
What is happening with Pam?!
Is her mental/emotional trauma causing
her to become catatonic?
Roy’s mom is a nasty bitch!
It’s no wonder Roy is so messed up.
At least Helene’s testimony wasn’t too damaging to Pam’s case.
I have to admit that I’m nervous about
Roy not being convicted by the jury.
Also what is going on at the office while
the trial is going on?
Did the rest of the DM characters find out
what has been happening?
Please update soon!
Date: November 10, 2021 Title: Chapter 47: Chapter 47
You don’t give yourself enough credit
because this was a good chapter.
It’s seems as though Pam was having a panic attack that actually helped her have
a breakthrough.
It was like once she made it through the attack she knew that she was going to be okay,
no matter what happens with Roy.
Date: December 09, 2021 Title: Chapter 49: Chapter 49
Murphy’s closing statement was very powerful,
and right on point, about how other women can become victims of Roy’s violence.
However, I can understand Pam’s doubts of Roy not being convicted. Roy’s lawyer is so slimy that
he would do anything to poke holes in Murphy’s
statement, to cause doubt in the jury.
At least Jim had the foresight to come up with
a plan to take Pam away in case things don’t
go their way.
I would love to see perhaps a chapter, or an epilogue, that takes place in the future where
we can see what has happened in JAM’s
life after the trial. Perhaps a C&P cameo.🤔
Yes, I have to admit that I would like to know
what could have happened to Roy, Kenny,
and even Karen, in the future as well.
You can call it morbid curiosity.
Lots of teapots for you.

Yes, that was one hell of a cliffhanger!
I’m glad that you skipped over Roy’s lawyer’s
closing statement. I wish had an inkling of what’s
going to happen with the verdict, but there’s been
so much back and forth between accusations and blame, I really don’t know which direction you are going to take it. Either way, it’s good to see that no matter what happens, Pam knows she is free of Roy. Please update soon.
Date: February 01, 2022 Title: Chapter 51: Chapter 51
I loved this chapter!
I thought Roy was going to have another outburst.
Instead he showed his true colors of being weak
in front of people that aren’t scared of him.
I loved the Michael and Dwight parts.
That is something they would do. 😂
You had me going there for a second when the first verdict came in of not guilty!
Roy’s mom is as crazy as he is. I loved seeing Pam tell her off, and saying how the woman that
she is the reason her sons turned out the way they did. Now I’m curious as to what punishment Roy
will get now that he’s been convicted.
Please update soon! 🫖
Date: July 22, 2022 Title: Chapter 56: Chapter 56
Pam asking Jim if he would real her victim impact letter is a lot to ask,but I can understand why she would do it. It’s probably difficult to get through
reading a letter like that in front of everyone, especially Roy. Plus if Pam did start to break down
in front of Roy he would get some sort of rise
out of it to soothe his ego. Also I am still curious if we will get some sort of epilogue. Please update soon.
Please update soon!
