My first attempt at a 5 things fic.
I love sympathetic Karen fics! and this is beautifully done. These are great unique little back stories for her that all make sense in the greater context. yay! well done
Author's Response: Aw! Thanks. It's funny how all of the non-Karen-bashing folks have been coming out of the woodwork in the past couple of days. Or maybe I've just noticed them more since I wrote this.
He was well aware of the fact that what he was contemplating (no, planning) could result in the loss of his job; after all, the very definition of a documentary stipulated that the cameramen not alter the natural course of events or become actively involved with the subjects in any way.
Even more than that, though, he understood that to do this would be to tread a dangerous line; it was rather like playing god in some ways.
What if Jim could see what we've seen?
No spoilers, all speculation. A oneshot. Yes, a oneshot. Seriously - it's finished.
The camera crew as the deus ex machina is MY kryptonite! Seriously I love them. And I love Jim getting that all at once. Just a scene or two and he could have really written it off or rationalized it away. I love how this breaks him down, clip by clip to its unavoidable conclusion. Thank you for the perfect study break.:)

Stoner! Jim has pretty much always been canon for me. I don't care what anyone says. There is some episode where he asks Pam something like "Did you see trading spouses last night?" Please. That is a ridiculous tv show that one would only watch high and with some nutella nearby. My little stoner Jim. Anyway, great idea! Excellent characterization. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

You know, it's funny you should ask that, because when I was walking to work this morning (shortly after I woke up and remembered that I'd written this in the first place) and all kinds of ideas came to me about Marjorie. So, I guess you never know? Thanks again!
After being dumped by Jim, Karen tries to take back control of her life... by kidnapping Jim! What nefarious plans does Karen have in store for him? Can Pam rescue Jim before Karen makes him a castrati? Why is Dwight obsessed with semen? All this and more inside! You'd think that maybe it'd be more of a crime drama than anything else, but I'm voting for the anything else.
And how come there's no option for Genres:Twisted? I'd use that.
10 Wow. I totally forgot all about that. I couldn't figure out why the summary on the most recent page sounded oddly familiar. I love anti fluff and I really love Karen empathizing with Evil Stewie. now that would be a crossover.. Thank you for rising to the challenge. Also, at some point I'd like a swat team to make an appearance, or at least the cast of Without a Trace.
Oh great. Now I'm going to have to write a Family Guy/Office crossover. Michael fighting the chicken? Herbert lusting after Ryan? People setting themselves on fire so they don't have to look at Meredith? That'll be horrible. If it happens, it will be your fault.
I've never watched Without a Trace, so you're out of luck there.
9 MARJORIE!!!!!!!!!! after all these years she is STILL my favorite character. thank you so much for using her and coming up with a back story for her! and I love the ending. oh Jan.
