They say there are 5 stages of grief - Denial, Anger, Bargaining, Depression, Acceptance. You'll see Pam go through them - with some future fluff every other chapter to keep you from pulling your hair out. There will be 10 chapters in all. :)
I love this. It was sweet and perfect and the rythm of the whole story just worked in so many ways.

I actually laughed out loud at these and they make me smile - as a parent so much of it rings so true. I also love how you keep the humor in this but still make it so sweet and real. I really love this series and your writing in general!
I love this whole series. You really have the Jim and Pam dialog nailed down. I love reading this series because I can really imagine that their lives would be like this in the future. It also reminds me of when my husband and I had our first baby - thank you for that!!

Jim receives a gift the day after Christmas. And then another one the next day. And again for the 10 days after. Is it a joke, or has his True Love come forward? perfection! Absolute perfection! I cannot wait too see chapter 12...although..will we ever find out where Pam was in Chapter 10..when she was gone all day? For some reason that had me concerned!

I like this because it's a little more realistic. I like the idea of Jim and Pam learning to navigate their relationship in the earlier days and taking it slow. However I can't wait for the next chapter!

This is along the same lines as my other Away From the Cameras, in the sense that I'm exploring scenes that might have happened off-camera (or simply those that we didn't get to see).
A few things: First, I'm working on the assumption that a lot of what I wrote in the AFtC for season II stands (though I likely won't reference any of it here), up until Casino Night. (Clearly I was quite off about what happened after the kiss...heh.)
Second, there will be flashbacks filling in the blanks of what happened immediately after CN (how long did Jim work? how did he and Pam ultimately leave things? how did she end things with Roy? how did Jim find out about her cancelling the wedding?); the flashbacks will happen largely in the chapters pre-merger (to keep things interesting for Jim/Pam fans during their physical separation).
I seriously have a lump in my throat right now. OMG I want more please!!
