Author's Response: You really can't go wrong, can you?  Glad you enjoyed this little trip to Smutville.  Thank you very much!

Wow.  What a great set-up.  How do you always manage to come up with fresh ideas?   I love the scenarios you concoct! Can't wait to read more!

Author's Response: Thanks so much for your review. I have to be honest, I'm so afraid this is going to turn into Observer Effect just in Season 2 and with a website instead of a chatroom. I have some ideas as to how to keep it fresh, though. Thanks so much for your encouragement.

Summary: A oneshot post-birth, future Pam and Jim. Anyone who has had a baby will know why Pam mentions being tired quite a bit. Writing Pam is so much fun.

I do not own these characters or anything else related to the ongoing televised story of The Office. No copyright infringement is intended. I still do not even work in an office. Though if I keep up with the fanfic instead of working, I may not have a job anywhere.

Wow.  Yes, as a mother of three I can safely say you captured the post-birth hormone and exhaustion bombardment perfectly!  I had to smile because I remember THAT smell and warmth of your brand new baby.

This is beautiful.  Just perfect.

Author's Response: Thank you so much kells8995. I\'m glad I captured it. My youngest is eight, but I think you never forget that feeling of the first days. Especially, as you say, the warmth and smell. Ah, babies....now I get to enjoy other people\'s babies. ;) Even fictional JAM babies....

Summary: Future Jim and Pam, a lighthearted look at their wedding day from Jim's POV. I seem to like small moments in big events. Anyway, Jim's brother's name is John because I'm thinking his parents like classic names, and "J" names. Also, I included an aspect from my first fanfic in the second chapter. I have no idea if that's somehow wrong...sorry if it is.

I still don't own Jim, Pam or anything pertaining to The Office. No copyright infringement is intended. I'm just having a little fun here.

This?  Is really, really good.  I love hearing about their first Christmas together - it's exactly how I would have pictured it.  You also have them down perfectly.  Their banter and back and forth - just perfect.

On to chapter 2!

Author's Response: kells, you're too sweet!  I was a little afraid of making Pam too wide-eyed and girly with the Christmas stuff, but even a bitter old hag like myself is a sucker for Christmas ornaments.  I seriously LOVE writing the banter.  It can be tough to get it right, but when it comes together and I think it sounds true to my ear, man, it's such a thrill.  Even better when I read a review like this and know that someone else appreciated it.  Thank you so much!

Oh...poor Pam.  It's hard enough when you're pregnant and your hormones make you feel like you're insane - and then to have someone say something like that to you.  How upsetting.

I'm reading on now....

Author's Response: kells, I still think about the prof who told me that if I wanted to write the next great American novel, I should forget about journalism, quit school and buy a typewriter and just write it.  Yeah, thanks for nothing, Assbag.  I think Pam might have handled this differently had she not been in a hormone haze, but she's sensitive right now and the timing of this meeting couldn't have been worse for her.  Thank you so much for reviewing and for your great rec on the boards.  So sweet of you.

It's official.  I'm in love with this story.  This conversation between them is so real and and I can imagine Pam having this exact reaction.  I also laughed out loud a few times - you are SO good at first person Jim.

I have to say though, I have a bad feeling of foreboding in the pit of my stomach.  I'm a little worried, but I have faith in you! More, soon, please!

Author's Response: And I'm in love with your reviews, kells!  It wasn't too hard for me to imagine Pam's feelings here.  I've started over a few times, myself, and it's terribly disorienting and scary and when you're forced to start over because something hasn't worked out the way you thought it would...well, it can be soul-crushing.  She has Jim, though, and he's not going to let that happen.  I'm tickled this made you laugh and first person Jim is challenging, but so much fun to do.  I promise your faith isn't misplaced.  I love these two way too much.  :-*

This was just lovely.  The whole thing.  From now on, I choose to believe that this is the life Jim and Pam will lead together.  I love that they find themselves in eachother and the family they have.  I love that they find happiness in what some would consider a simple life.  Teaching, managing a branch, living in a small town, having a family.  To some people these seem like ordinary things, but for me it sounds like a perfect life.  Jim and Pam seem to think so, too.

I absolutely loved every word of this entire story, sweetpea.  You really have a gift and while I'm sorry this story is over, I enjoyed every minute of the ride.

Thank you for making me smile on such a dreary Sunday morning! :)

Author's Response: It is dreary here, too, kells and thank YOU for making me smile.  It seems like a perfect life to me, too, and one that seems so right for them.  No Big Haircut life, but a neatly trimmed, yet shaggy medium life.  God, I'm so envious of two fictional characters in a totally made-up story that I wrote!  What's wrong with me?! :)  Writing this story has been a real labor of love for me and when I read your review this morning, I was so happy to know the love and warmth I tried so hard to convey came through.  Having a gift (wow, thank you for that!) should make the writing go more easily, right?  Nah, I didn't think so!  I Thank you so much for being so supportive and I'm really glad you enjoyed this.

I just read the final 10 chapters and this was just perfect.  Thank goodness you ended it the way you did!

Like someone else mentioned, I think the clipped chapters were very effective, and I like how we get the feeling that in an instant Jim can close his eyes and see his life play out like this, but thankfully he chose the right path at the end!

Great job!

I'm sorry to review all at once but I just read all three and loved it!  First of all, I love it because I think so many of us see Jim's hair as sort of an extension of his personality.  I also love the sports analogy.

Also?  Only you can make a haircut really really sexy. lol. Great job!!  It's always a happy day when you write new stuff :)

Author's Response: And I'm always happy to read your comments ;-) Glad I'm not the only one (besides Kelly that is, lol) who thinks Jim's hair is, well, more than hair! Also happy you liked the sports stuff - during S3, I often thought of Jim as suiting up for the game, running the prescribed plays and such. (Okay, it's true, I've been a goner since seeing him play in 'Basketball.') Anyway, thanks so much for reading/reviewing, kells!

I LOVE this story.  It's so so good.  God, I WISH it could have happened like this between them.  I cannot wait for more!

Jim - Don't move!!

More soon please!!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much, kells!  Actually, I have my own theories on why Pam didn't tell Jim when she called off the wedding on the show -- I think she knew she wasn't in a position to start a relationship with him, but he had said during CN that he didn't want to be friends anymore.  So she was kind of stuck.  But of course I also think that if she would have just explained it to him he would understand, so... that's basically the premise here. :)

Don't worry, Jim is safe -- see the story summary ;)  Thanks so much for reviewing!

Love this.  It's so real.  It would be completely normal for Pam to worry about this, to worry about never living up to the fantasies Jim had about her for years.

I love Great Gatsby.  It's one of my favorite books ever.

Great job!

Author's Response:

Thanks! I've loved the book since I had to read it in high school, my English teacher told us that some books are like candy bars, and some are like gummy worms, and Gatsby is like a giant banana split with a ton of toppings and a cherry on the top and a slice of cake on the side. She was absolutely right. I'm so glad you liked it!
