Author's Response: YES! She, behind that of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, is my favorite Russian empress. She was beautiful, shy, kind, and a gracious empress. I’m not a fan of how her husband treated her towards the end of her life as I feel she deserved much better. I love reading about old royal families and their genealogies. I spend far too much time reading Wikipedia articles on them. I obviously have a soft spot for the Russian Imperial family as you can tell lol. I’d say though that I am partial also to the Grand Ducal House of Hesse-Darmstadt as my two favorite empresses hailed from that house. Do not thank me! THANK YOU!
