I don't think I can bear to watch Jim's heart broken for like the 3981st time as he watches Pam and Ryan. I actually LIKE Ryan and I don't want to have him fall under the Pam spell (ryan and kelley 4 eva) only to have his heart broken. Or conversely, I don't know if I could take it he and Pam end up together either...sigh...but I know I'll still be reading, that's why I'm still watching too...we're all masochists

Actually I'm changing my review (can I do that?) i don't like encouraging Karen's bad behavior (getting in the way of true love is not cool in my book, bad karen, bad!) if she's miserable in the end I'll be happy with anything you do. If that includes a hot three way with jim, pam and ryan- so much the better.

I HATE KAREN. That's irrational, I know. But god, Pam and Jim have just....so much, the 'you know I'm jealous of anyone who gets to touch you like that.' God that's like the hottest thing I've ever read. If I was Pam I would have jumped him right there, then again if I was Pam I probably would have self combusted some time ago. PS. I don't really see a lot of Ryan/Pam chemistry, this is no way an insult to your masterful story. It's more how you interact with a great, flirty guy friend, not one who makes your knees literally go weak though. Oh and Fuck Karen for suddenly being nice to Pam. that blows.

I think in terms of the Pam/Ryan flirtation I'm trying to have it come across as just new friends being flirty and having a good time with it, so I'm glad you said that! I can't help but think of that place as I read this chapter, I like how you have all of this stuff linked together in one universe, like how in a few weeks Ryan will start stalking Kelley at the grocery store. I'm so glad that he actually loves her and go Kelly for beins so mature (the first time in history the words Kelly and mature were in one sentance). Jim is such an asshole for being all touchy feely with Karen and being such a jealous prick. I mean one or the other is totally acceptable (and I do love jealous prick Jim- but both sucks). More. More. More.
two things, I haven't even read the new chapter yet so it isn't topical (I've somehow conjured up enough willpower to avoid this story until it's done) 1. I just read Clash of the Titans and LOVED It, i love the list especially, and I would totally hide under a desk too. 2) one of my friends is going to a wedding this weekend where the best man is BJ Novak. I thought you might get a kick out of that.

God, Jim is killing me in this story. I feel for him so much. I just finished watching the first season and man his life sucked so hard. Now to watch the woman he loves flaunt how much she doesn't want him anymore part deux?! I mean come on, he already put it out there, twice, with Pam so ready to 'move on' again why would he do it again? I would tell Jim to forget it that it isn't worth it, but the sad thing is that he isn't ever moving on. Gah.
and you have somehow twistedly been sucessful at letting pam have sex with Jim AND Ryan. Gah. Gah. I don't have words that was so twisted it was hot. God Pam he wants you just take him?! Jim just dump karen. Have hot hot hot real sex soon. oh man, this is so out of character for everyone on the show (pam can't even verbalize what she wants to herself and now she's fucking jim through a wall? ryan is a jackass and suddenly he's as sweet as the bees knees?) BUT, and there is a but, this story is a delicious AU. And I'm so glad Jim called Karen on her BS, now if only he would do it to her face. Actually, I'd like to see them (jim/pam) cheat and get caught, in this world that would actually be kinda hot.

I can't tell :) I don't think Ryan's an ass at all, just a guy that doesn't particularly like his job or his boss, I think there have been plenty of moments on the show that have shown a sweeter side to him ("I dont know, I can't explain it" ? Or the adorable look on his face after he finds Sasha underneath his desk? His string cheese talk with Toby? No? Nothing?) Anyway, thanks for the comment!
If you're going to have ryan and Pam end up together, then I'm ok with that, your story and all. Just don't break Jim's heart too badly. I mean he's been a jerk but the man had his heart mexican hat danced on, now a third time. And don't give me the whole Karen is a great distraction thing, she's just a 110 pound shield. Ouch I don't think I can read this until it's done now. But it's great, I mean really really well written. Even if it's heartbreaking.
Author's Response: Well, okay, its definitely not over yet, but it is important to keep in mind that this is total fiction ;) Also, what breaks Jim's heart in the short run could prove to be best for him in the long run, rather than ending up with someone who isn't right for him. oh wow. somehow I can't imagine someone as docile as Pam (you have to be pretty self-effacing to live with roy for ten years) being such a bitch to Jim. I would never put up with that kind of crap and I know my husband wouldn't either. But for the sake of the story it's great :) more please
Author's Response: Hmmm...The Pam of this story is pretty far transformed from who she was with Roy, and the next chapter might shed a little light on where she was coming from. Also, at least in my book, calling someone's mom and telling her they need help would be a pretty significant violation. New chapter is coming tomorrow (Sunday). I'm a fan of your work, by the way.
this was very sweet, I loved the fact that they just fell asleep first before jumping each other, afterall the next best thing after make up sex is the make up nap :) I have to admit I was a little creeped out by Pam's mentor still being downstairs. I mean I loved her kicking them in the pants, but to wait downstairs for them to finish- a little creepy. Great story, can't wait for more! I love sucessful Pam stories :) Oh and I'm so glad you enjoy my work, that means a lot
Author's Response: Thanks! You know, I didn't think of the creepiness factor there...in my mind Lisa was just going about her business, getting ready for the show, probably bringing in pictures. I didn't think of her as particualrly listening in on the action. I liked the make up nap too...I thought if I were Jim there I would have been so exhausted and so ready to just rest with her close to me.

I love this! I'm very happily married and totally in love with my husband and even though I'm in grad school I'm in a place in my life where it's not unreasonable to have a child. That said when we found out we were pregnant we almost had simultaneous panic attacks. I mean I was scared out of my mind! I like how you've portrayed that. Great job!

Oh man I too think that Kelly is so much more insightful than people give her credit for. I can totally see her imagining Jim/Pam/Karen as having a movie-staresque love triangle. I loved the bit about adopting Korean babies. I just can't get enough of this series, I absolutely loved how Jim stormed out of the breakroom. The two of them seriously just need to hug it out bitch (where the hugging leads too....)

this is amazing, this exactly the assholish type thing I wish Jim would say to her on the show, they need catharsis either to move on with each other or with other people. I still can't believe that he does say those things and hurt her so much but it's kind of amazing. Please please please please update soon.
this is gloriously angsty wonderfulness and if you don't update this story more quickly I just might scream. I mean this chapter was awesome from the vomiting to the hospital confrontation to the roof, exactly how I would envision it. I don't think Jim deserves her in this, which is my favorite kind because he really needs to be BROKEN before he gets her back and I love jealous!jim, give her someone else and I guarantee he'll be 'in love' with her again quicker than you can snap your fingers. And karen, what an idiot.
