Bio:

Okay, first of all I'm a guy-are there any others writing here?  Yes, I am of course in love with Jenna Fischer and with the fictional character she has created.  And I would totally have a beer and watch some hoops with Jim Halpert.

I've never written romantic stuff in my life; this show just brings it out of me.  My stories here are sort of little daydreams that seem somehow therapeutic to me.  You can usually count on happy endings from my stuff; plenty of heartache on the actual show.

Other stuff:  37, divorced, two kids, I live in Northern Virginia

Wow, that really hit the spot.  Obviously I'm late to the game but just wanted to add my praise for this magnificient work.  The structure you chose worked beautifully, and your vision of them is compelling.

Author's Response: Oh thank you so much!  I love it when someone still finds something I wrote way back when.  You are very kind.  I'm so glad you liked it.

This picks up pre-merger and is spoiler free, a bit AU as well.  I began this back in October (maybe even September), and obviously the show has deviated quite a bit from what I speculated here.

This begins with angst, but there is a great deal of fluff, steam, smut, and silly...for several, several chapters.  My idea was to go beyond the happy ending, so to speak.

Well, what an unexpected treat that was...for a moment I  was confused, thinking I had gone to my favorites page instead of the most recent.  The pranking of Dwight was a stroke of genius, and I liked the way you captured the sort of surreal feeling of entering into marriage.  The way they missed each other while separated during the reception was nifty as well.  Thank you for this.

Author's Response:

Hey, thanks so much for the review!  To be honest, I was really not happy with this chapter (had been fiddling with it for several weeks, literally), but I did want to get it posted since so many people were asking for happy!fic to calm their pre-finale nerves.  (If only we'd all known then what we know now, eh?)

Thanks again!

Wow, what a pleasnt surprise this was!  Lots of laughs..."Don't come crying to me when their cycles begin to coincide"...awesome.  Great job capturing creepy but still somewhat good hearted Dwight

Author's Response: Thanks Brokenloon! So glad you enjoyed it! Dwight is so much freaking fun to write!

I just devoured all nine chapters....so well done, so sweet, so made me smile, so relieved my season 3 blues. The vision you have created of them as a couple is so believable and charming.

Ahh, It's so nice to be getting regular doses of baby Jill.  That was even more fun the second time around.  What a great peek inside the family. So many adorable moments in this one.  "...and I'm not a slut"...Jill's definition of a date...the post-date banter between Jim and Pam.  Good times.

Well, I know that one was for the moms but I thought it was a nice gift for we dads as well.  Jill's "pwize" confusion was super-adorable, and your Jim-Pam dialogue was stellar and as always.  Great stuff.

It's true, come to think of it, you do write good angst--besides this chapter, "Breakable" and chapter 4 of Baby Talk come to mind.  I'm not usually much of an angst fan; writing something obviously sad is the cheapest and easiest way to have an emotional impact on the reader and I think many authors sort of abuse it.  The realism and beauty of this, though, overwhelms me.  The love and humor in Jim's interaction with Jill coexisting with the sense of grief and anxiety is amazing, and you combine them so perfectly.  And, I loved loved loved the ending.  Absolutely perfect.  Fantastic work.

I felt really lucky to get an early look at this.  It was great to get a visit from Baby Jill in the middle of my work day!  Maybe I'm biased, but I thought it turned out pretty great.  The Fun Run-esque scene at the end is my favorite, I think.  Great stuff.

Author's Response: Brokenloon you're the best!  Thank you for all the support you've always given this story!  That Fun-Run scene has been a favorite of mine since it first aired and I've always kind of wanted a reason to sort of riff on it...so glad I got the chance!

Such fun.  Perfect characterization...almost unfair that long with you perfect Pam and Jim you can bring in other characters as you choose and have them spot on as well.  Great stuff.

Author's Response: ;-) Thanks so much Brokenloon. What an awesome comment! After reading the Newlywed Game though, I'm pretty certain you have the same thing going!

Loved it, as always.  Brilliant.  It's so funny, I thought the breast milk thing was over the top and then I saw that he redacted it...so clever.  How you do this without hitting false notes is a wonder.  Great stuff.

Author's Response: Thank you, thank you...you can repay me with more Newlywed Game! ;-) Thanks for the feedback Broken. I too thought the breast milk thing was crossing the line, especially the last "toast" to Michael and Pam. lol. There was no way to salvage it except to redact. lol. Glad you enjoyed!

Amazing.  You have an incredible talent for making something mind bendingly sweet but not contrived or saccharine.  And, as a dad myself, I endorse your take on the kinds of things Jim would write.  Like many, I get a big smile when I see this has been updated.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! I just love hearing what parents think of this story. I want to be careful not to romanticize things too much, but also still have it be the amount of fluff I need to get by these days! Thanks so much for your comments!

So great.  Once Jim and Pam are married and having a little one (season six or so?) they should just let you write the show.  The way you can not only do brilliant Jim-Pam banter but can throw in seemingly virtually every other character perfectly is almost unfair.  For some reason my favorite line was "I've got an entire beet farm."

Author's Response: hahaha. You never know what someone's fave will be. I'm glad you enjoyed Dwight's attempt at being impressive! You're always so kind in your reviews Broken, thanks so much!

Beautifully done.  My favorite line:  The look on his face was so...amazing: completely open adoration with a hint of veiled sadness, speaking of the lengths they'd traveled to get here.  Yes indeed.  Your stuff is just absolutely great.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much - every time I envision him looking at her openly once they're really together, all I can see is that absolutely smitten look he had on his face at the poker table.

Thanks for reviewing!
