Jim and Pam are Jim and Pam, only...not really.I've held off on reviewing this because I haven't been able to find the right words to express just how much I am loving this story. The realness of it is a testament to your talent as a writer. These are real people with complex, unperfect feelings that you've created here.
I think what you've got here is an interesting look at who Jim and Pam. Our situations and environment influence who we are, but not totally. This Jim and this Pam are in a different situation and have a different path in life than they do on the show, but deep down, they still are the same people we've come to know and love. i think your characteraztion of Jim is just brilliant. When I read the Dwight TH (Earth should have a Dwight Day) I thought it was fabulous and made a mental note to include it in my review. But then I got reading and they were all PERFECT. Kevin's and Creed's? Genius. Thanks for an early morning laugh.

Kevin's came about when I was doing a little Earth Day research (I'm like Michael) and saw that a number of cartoonists from the same syndicate were doing Earth-Day-themed comics for the day. I could imagine Kevin thinking that was pretty cool, and maybe thinking a bunch of them had the idea at the same time, totally by coincidence. Kevin may read the daily comics at work to fill the time while he sits and waits for the break (/Survivor Man).
I'm glad you got a good laugh from this; we could all use more laughing, I think. It's good for us.

Perfect. You wrap up all of the seeming OOC aspects of last night's show in a realisitic and human package. I really like the Jim you've created here.

10 I read this last night before going to sleep and wanted to reread it this morning and I'm so glad I did. It's so lovely and your imagery is rich and evokes so much emotion. I think you really have a handle on our dynamic duo. I can't quote the whole story back to you, but the ending? That's something I'm going to remember for a long time

There are entire sentences and one word in particular that get lost in the back of her throat, trapped behind years of muted suffocation recently alleviated but not eradicated, not yet. 9 I'm really, really excited for this story. I've toyed around with the idea of sending Jim and Pam to London but could never figure out how to get them there. You've done it!! I love London so I'll be anxiously waiting to see where you send our Office Cast :)

Is there life and love after Jam?10 I just had the opportunity to read through this and it is wonderful. The nature of the first person telling of this relationship has really made me care about these characters and this relationship.
I've been waiting for Pam to make and appearance...I've been wanting her to, actually and I'm so glad she's in the story now.
I can't wait to see where you go with this. I know what I want to happen (some forgiveness, Pam to be happy and for Pam to tell Jim that she misses his friendship...just that), but I know you'll handle things wonderfully.
I haven't read through all of your reviews to know if this has been suggested, but I'd love to see the story of New York Pam told in parallel to this one. You mentioned in one of your notes that we were only seeing the break-down of JAM through Jim's eyes and I'd love to see what you'd do with Pam's perspective.
