10 This was beautiful and seriously put me in the holiday spirit. I can tell this was good because I totally bought Jim's affection for Anne (the bastard!), almost as much as I bought Jim's love for Pam. I feel like you really captured his love for her without being too explicit (no painfully-written cliches). So, yeah, good job! :)

She wants it to be perfect. She wants to tell him in the most romantic, perfect way she can think of, so that the memory of those words are not "I can't" but lovely, sweet, and round: "I love you, Jim."

10 This is a very late review, but I randomly found this story and I think it's amazingly cute :)
I don't know if I buy all of those girly things, but they are all believable individually. The first one especially is cute as anything. Thank you for giving me the saddest image ever-- a teary-eyed slightly drunk Jim frosting a cake late at night. Because of Pam. omggggg ;__;

10 Aw, delightful! I loved how you described the airport-- it was poetic with being overwrought. Nicely done. It felt very real.

The story, FYI, is called (Sir Gawain and) The Loathly Lady, sometimes called Sir Gawain and Dame Ragnell. The Loathly Lady has also been featured in other stories-- there are a lot of variations.
Anyway, this was cute :)
10 Beautiful story. Haven't reviewed yet, but I'm all caught up now and anxious for more. I love this plot, and you've done it all very realistically. Jim's POV in this chapter seems totally spot on. Love it! I hope we get the next chapter tonight :) This one was far too short!

9 To be honest, I think the Australian slang here is a little distracting; I have friends from near Sydney and I've never heard them use most of these. It seems a bit overly stereotyped I guess; just a little something that annoyed me.
Other than that, another great chapter. This really is one of my favorite stories, so . I liked the earlier chapters a little better, but I'm still enjoying this a lot! I think Jim and Pam are being a little overly frustrating at this point, and the misinterpretations are getting a little Three's Company for me. I like the angst and the misunderstandings, but they still have have to be subtle!
Sorry for all the criticisms, but I only say them because this is really one of my favorite stories on here and I thought you could take it :) Really looking forward to the next chapter, and hoping for a little accidental nighttime cuddling...
10 Aw, this is a short chapter, but very sweet. I got my accidental late night cuddling! Now I hope Jim doesn't get all 'oh my god sorry' so that Pam is like 'oh man why does Jim hate me all the time' because I don't know if my heart can take it. I think it's time for a real talk! Or at least a little slightly fluffy slightly angsty awkwardness :)

10 When I first saw this I got really confused thinking it was the story by GodInThisChilis. But anyway, this is awesome. I can definitely buy it. I'm always a little skeptical when Ryan as anything but a jerk, but I don't think he has to be that way, I think it's all a matter of circumstance. Can't wait for more!

Thanks for saying that -- I tend to vacillate on how aware Pam was at that point of all that was really going on beneath the surface. I think she knew on some level that he was in love with her -- and that she felt something for him, too -- but she sort of willfully ignored it.

I love this story! But shouldn't Jim be in studio working on that rendering? I want hot Jam studio sex. Jim tired from a double all-nighter, trying to finish rendering a section, everybody else has gone home, Pam comes over with coffee... I can see it.

I'm still trying to decide if the image of young Pam nestled up in a twin bed with young Jim is reward enough to compensate for all this frustration. I'm thinking yes, but you're killing me! Katy... WHY?! But the more angst and confusion, the better the pay-off, right? I'm hoping!
10 “Didn’t you know that Jim has a girlfriend?”
I literally let out a little high-pitched squeal when I read that. Ugh this story is so awesome. But I'm hoping they hook up out of heated angst-- that's always how I want these stories to go. Especially where Pam gets really angry and inadvertently slips up and all the built-up angst --> hotter hook-up. Which is what you're already kind of doing and it's great but your set-up is perfect for a scenario like this. I'm loving all the almost-there and then accidentally reverting back to default friends mode thing these two have going on.
I think this review is incredibly incoherent, but that's what your story does to me!
What if Roy was lying when he said he'd never cheated on Pam? What if Pam was always a little less healthy than she let on? What if everything, everywhere, is only meant to fall apart?Personally I liked the email thing better, but this is nice, too :)
What if Pam confronted Jim a little sooner than on Beach Day? A S3 AU angst-fest, complete with uneaten pizza. Spoilers up to/around Business School....10 Moxie, you slay me. I was giddy about this story before I even started reading it, and it DID NOT disappoint. Omg S3 hot-n-heavy Jam in the conference room? YES PLEASE. I feel only marginally bad for Karen-- in fact I'm probably more angry with her because this is going to turn awkward now, huh?
