Ah, this story is so entertaining! I love it. I can't wait for more. It's wonderful how much they can say when they're not really face to face, and then when Pam's actually with Jim... well, it's very true to love, in that respect. Great work. Update as soon as you can!

Author's Response: I just updated!  I'm glad you find it entertaining!

Ha, this chapter definitely did not suck! In fact, I think it might have been my favourite so far (something to do with alll the ALMOST DIRECT interaction between Jim and Pam? That's right!). I can't believe they were actually telling each other that! It seems like they really have no idea who the other is. But... but maybe there's still suspicion. Of course, if I were Jim and I suspected it was Pam, I would stop believing that as soon as I saw how open she was being, heh. I LOVED this, in case you haven't got the message yet!

You write so dead on and with such emotion that you could really be Jim (LOL).

Hahahahaha. I imagine her laughter would be a little bitter and hopeful at the same time. Hehehe. Sorry, this just cracked me up. Well, as always, I eagerly, eagerly await your updates. This is such a fantastic story!

Author's Response:

Thanks Benny...I LOL'd at your saying that Jim wouldn't believe it was Pam because she was being open. I hadn't even thought of that.

Hope you continue to like where this is going.

I seriously love this story so much. I don't think a more original idea has been written, and you are writing it beautifully. Does NeckWatcher know who the author actualy is? Does he know who she is? I think maybe he... doesn't. Yeah, I don't think he does. But she? She may have some idea. Hmmm, will be SO INTERESTING to see how it progresses, and when they both realise for sure that they're talking to each other all those other things. This is such a fantastic story, and I can't wait for more! Very, very intriguing idea. Great work.

Author's Response: Thanks! I don't want to give too much away, but I really don't think Jim suspects anything just yet.....

Hahaha, AnythingAwesome is deifnitely the real Kelly. That just cracks me up! Aw, Michael is "special", and I love him and I love that Jim loves him. The idea of Jim putting Pam's voicemail messages on his iPod is gorgeous. You're making me love Jim again! I've been having some problems with him recently (though I just rewatched s2 and fell in love again) but this is bringing back the sympathy for him. Heh, NeckWatcher seems like she's had her heart kind of broken. I WONDER WHY? Well, obviously, I can't wait for more. Fantastic stuff!

Author's Response: I've been watching season 2 recently as well. Jim's dicky behavior as of late and some amazing Ryan/Pam stories here (Hey Jealousy) I've been seeing Jim as not someone who I want Pam to end up with. Hopefully that will start turning around soon! Thanks for your comments.

Hmm, so if Pam's been mentioning this fic to people in the office, how long before it gets back to Jim? Oh, and Toby's review! That'll have given it away. What's he going to do now? I think he just can't let Pam know he knows it's her (does she know it's him yet? Maybe if she read Toby's review, it would give it away to her, as well. Hmmmm.). So intriguing! I really enjoyed this chapter. I LOVED the scenes with Angela and Toby. We should definitely see more of Toby and Jim's friendship! And yep, Angela is a lot more likable as you see more of her. Well... Casino Night. Eeek. Can't wait! Fabulous work, as usual.

Author's Response: What if OM is just that clueless and he can't put together that this is really Toby. The guy said Just Kidding :) Or, what if OM told Toby what he was up to....a lot can go down after a couple of beers at the strip club. Thanks for your continued reviews!

So he knows! And even if she doesn't respond to him, he's still going to suspect it (especially with Creed now joining the group of people in on it). Ooh, you know what would be perfect? If NeckWatcher posted her own story (which, obviously, we don't have to see, but Jim could mention he'd seen and it could... I don't know, drive them forward a bit more)! Ah, I don't know. I reckon you've got it all figured out without my comments, heh. And of course she was the one who figured out it was an April Fool's joke. Excellent. Well, update whenever you can because, as you know, I love this story!

Of course Pam didn't get in touch with him. OF COURSE. But does she know that he knows who she is? And if she does, then she would know who HE is. Why are they stuck in this perpetual paralysis around each other? Why are they both so scared? Okay, too many questions, but this story really makes me think! The characterisation is great, by the way, because I honestly believe what's going on here.

To have him not write about Casino Night is also very well characterised. Both have shown an extreme reluctance to even think about that night (this is part of their problem), so good stuff. I look forward to updates of this story more than any other, because it's just so compelling!

Author's Response: Thanks Benny. RE: CasinoNight. I figured if they never even mentioned it to each other, Jim would never write about it either. Glad yo ucontinue to like this.

Teehee! "NeckWatcher's" "review" made me shriek with laughter, in a really excited way. Yay, she's finally making a move! This is excellent. Ah... Jim. Hmm, and no reply to her last review? Strange that. Oooh, I really liked the way he just wrote what he wanted to happen, because I can imagine Jim thinking, "Well, this is the closest I'm ever going to get to happiness". Yay for Pam, though! I should chastise Jim for being "that dense", but she hasn't really given him much reason to hope, maybe, sometimes in the past, so it makes sense. Oh, and even if it doesn't happen like he wrote it, I liked what "Jim" wrote in his "story" about just walking out of the office together. That would have been lovely. Okay, I just woke up so this review is a little disjointed, but I loved this chapter and I love this story!

Author's Response: Thanks so much. I always look forward to your reviews.

Aww, it's all finished! But it's hard to be sad when the ending is so lovely. They got it together! Excellent. And thanks for the explanations of when/if they knew - it makes everything come together perfectly. Silly old Jim! Though, as I've said, if I were him, I would have almost giving up hoping that Pam would come through for me (which is not to say I don't love/trust Pam because I DO! Just for Jim's point of view, it would be a little hard to keep hoping). I know I've said this many times, but I LOVE this story. It was fantastically unique, it was heartfelt and it was really well-written. Thanks for every single chapter! I'll miss it.

(Oh, and I know this is random, but I'm not a guy. I just thought suddenly that people might think I'm a guy because of the name, but I'm not. Yeah, that was an extremely random comment of me to make, but I just woke up and my mind's kind of jumbled right now.)

Author's Response: Benny, I really appreciate all of the amazing feedback you've left for me with this story. I'm so glad you like it.

No, I thought the breakup scene was great. Karen should be smart enough to know that none of it's her fault and... there's really nothing she can do that's going to make her relationship work out with Jim. I think you have a lovely way of writing these characters, and you're really bringing my sympathy back to Jim (it's been wholly with Pam for a while now). Heeheh, I can't wait to see what he writes on her Myspace! Great stuff - you managed to cheer me up on a bad day. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: Thank you!  I spent a lot of time feeling bad for Pam, too--and I still do--but I think Jim is still hurt over her rejection and afraid to try again, and whenever I think of his poor little puppy-dog face when she told him "I can't," I just melt into a puddle of goo.  So I had to make him kinda sweet and innocent in this.  :)

Hee! What a wonderful thing to wake up to in the morning. Also: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you have a lovely time away this weekend. Ha, seriously, this chapter was an overload of cuteness (in a good way, of course). They are just too hilariously adorable and I love them. I love this! And making out in the janitor's closet... well, of course they'd want to do that. I can't even pick a favourite part because it was all so good! A little confusing sometimes, but that's all right. All the relevant points were conveyed. So great! Looking forward to more when you return from your trip.

Oh my gosh, these blogs are cracking me up so delightfully! Jim and Pam are just made for each other, don't you think? Well, you're writing them that way, so I guess that answers the question for itself. I LOVE it! And to make it even better, they still can't talk to each other properly, which is so THEM. Oh, Jim and Pam... get it together, would you please? But yes, this was another wonderful chapter. Looking forward to more, of course!

Gah, that's evil! As if the Casino Night cliffhanger wasn't enough... well, okay, maybe this wasn't in the same league, but Jam fans wary of cliffhangers, you know! With good reason. Anyway, I really liked Karen's email to Pam. You've made her so... sympathetic, and that's good, 'cause I felt bad disliking her for the mere fact of her existence. Stupid Jim and Pam, though,  (especially Pam, even though I LOVE LOVE LOVE her) paralysed by their fear. Very in character, of course! Anyway, can't wait to read what they wrote on their blogs, so... update as soon as possible!

Author's Response: Hee!  I promise I won't leave you hangin' for three months and then come back with them walking away from each other.  If that helps at all.  ;)

Reviewer: Benny_Boy Signed

Ha, you're right - it's not Karen's fault that Pam's the only one for Jim, but since it's that way, she should really just leave, and do it gracefully. Whoops, did I just betray my unbiased attitude? Sorry about that. Anyway, I really enjoyed this first chapter. I honestly don't think even this new Jim who was so cold to Pam the other week would be able to pull a prank on her with Karen. Definitely off-limits. And sure, I feel for Karen too, but... she's rather gigantically deluded and I think she really needs to wake up to the situation (as, by the way, does Jim). Maybe this'll help set her straight? Well, anyway, please write more!

Author's Response: Hee!  Your secret's safe with me - I'll never tell anyone I suspect your Jam bias.  ;)  Thanks for the review!  I have the next chapter written, but I like to stay one chapter ahead in writing vs. posting so I'll keep on truckin'.  Glad you're enjoying it!

Michael, Michael, Michael! Okay, yes, that's mean of him, but... YAY! Someone needed to bring that up, right? And obviously Jim and Pam will never get around to it on their own impetus, so good for Michael.

This was really well written. It cracked me up, and especially the part where Jim and Pam started ganging up on Dwight in 'I Never' was great characterization. The whole thing was very enjoyable to read. So you're not going to write more? You really should!

Author's Response:

More will definitely be written! Jim has to give an answer, after all!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the compliments!

Poor Karen! But if she can't get out of it by  herself, maybe she doesn't deserve my sympathy. I really enjoyed this second chapter, too, because it's light and funny but with just the right amount of awkwardness and avoidance (hey, just like the show!). It's very well-written, I think. Heh, and poor Ryan. But hey, he could do a lot worse! Anyway, looking forward to more. Fantastic work!

Author's Response:

Thanks so much Benny_Boy! I figured with Karen's penchant for "talking it out" they would eventually talk themselves right out of this relationship. That it was Pam's words that were the impetus for the break-up? Bonus!

Summary: Past Featured Story

Michael watched Pam through the blinds. She was so lucky, everyone always wanted to talk to her, hang out with her, be friends with her. Sometimes he wished he could be her. It would all be so easy if he was Pam.

Pam looked up to see Michael staring at her through the blinds. She smiled to herself before turning back to answering the phones. Sometimes she wondered what it was like to be Michael. It must be strange.

There's a rule of the universe. Never wonder the same thing at the same time as someone else. That's a karmic jinx.
