And, I'm sad to say the one we were getting ready to shoot was going to be the funniest of the year. I'm sure of it. They've been pitching this particular story idea for over 2 years…it involves Pam and Jim being in Michael's home but that's all I'll say. I hope we get to shoot it soon. Let's all stay strong and hope that the strike can end soon.

I just hit the set on Friday, and you won’t believe who was there: Jim and...Karen!! Gaaah!! And Joss Whedon! Double gaaah! Needless to say, I have much to tell you after visiting the show’s Utica branch (whoops, did I just type that?!) and that will be coming your way much closer to the episode airdate. For the time being, all I know is I heard Michael tell Jim, “Get back together with her and take her to a hotel and sleep with her,” and it made my skin crawl! (P.S.: Love ya, Rashida. Honestly. But keep your paws off Pam’s man!)

PB&J forever! But don’t forget that we will be seeing more of Karen this season. Word is you’ll soon learn where Karen is now working and how she really feels about the whole Jam situation.

Ask Ausiello from TV Guide
Ausiello: Jim and Pam are finally happy, so you know what that means: It’s time for Karen to put in an appearance! Rashida Jones is due back on the set next week to shoot scenes at Karen’s new place of employ. Office producers are currently casting the role of her assistant, a twentysomething metrosexual who is friendly and has a good energy. Meanwhile, I hear new bossman Ryan is also in the market for an assistant — and she’s smokin’. According to the casting notice, she’s in her early twenties, businesslike, attractive and smart. In other words, Kelly’s worst nightmare come true!

-- Next week is another hour-long episode, very funny, written by Mose (Mike Schur.) The plot is Ryan's return, and he has a new website idea that he is pushing on his relentless rise to the top. Someone asked why Ryan could be promoted above Michael when he never made a sale. The answer is, he has an MBA. Look around you. Life is not fair in many ways.
-- Stephen Merchant will be directing an episode in a few months. We are very excited to spend the week with him. He is an extremely funny and even taller man. Also, starting Monday, Jason Reitman (Thank You For Smoking) starts directing an episode called "Local Ad" where Dunder Mifflin makes an ad and Michael gets very excited and hijacks the production.
-- We do learn more about Creed, in fact more comes to light every couple days on his Creedthoughts blog. -- We are starting the season off with four - 4 - hour long episodes. A huge undertaking. The way we produce them is actually to produce two episodes worth at our normal overrun, so that for instance next week's episode [4.02] had a first editors' assembly length of 70 minutes.

I can't wait for ya'll to see the episode we shot this week. Phyllis and I have some great scenes! The PPC is out of control! By the way, I found some really cute baseball hats on CafePress that say PPC and then underneath Party Planning Committee. I got a few for some friends that love the show.

We're currently shooting our 4th hour long episode of the new season...which starts on September 27th. Lots of funny stuff. And plently of new material for the JAM mash ups too...but that's all I can say :)

...The wardrobe gals got me these hilarious cat earrings and necklace for this season. Classic. We're on set now shooting a big group scene. ...Brian and I have to sit next to each other and we both just broke so hard. Ed had this line that was ridiculous and Brian and I couldn't keep it together. We totally ruined the take because we couldn't stop laughing. We are pathetic. I laughed so hard I was crying. When it airs, I'll tell you the scene. ...Creed goes through a metamorphosis in this episode. Truly random and classic Creed.

MySpace post from an extra
"The is a one-hour episode titled 'LAUNCH PARTY' it comes out in October so stay tuned!"

Q: Stephanie in West Chester, Ohio: I need some Jam news with my toast. I’m hearing lots of cutie-patootieness for Jim and Pam in the new season. You better stock up on bread and peanut butter, or all that Jam will go lonely! Kristen: I can attest to the cutie-patootieness.

"The next scene they shot was with Jim and Pam approaching Michael's spot on the grass. They were just standing there but when action was called they immediately started holding hands and laughing and talking to each other. They're holding a lamp with a red price tag on it and it appears to be bought from a garage sale (spec - side adventure during run?). They see Michael and stop holding hands, but not like they're hiding it (I don't think). They encourage him to finish the race. He says no. They show him the lamp like it is something he might want. He appears intrigued by this and finally gets up, but refuses help from Jim while doing so (insert Steve Carell physical comedy gold as he struggles to his feet), and the look on his face made me bite my tongue so I wouldn't laugh out loud and ruin the take. FYI also, this was the only scene where it looked like the actors had trouble keeping it together. John in particular."
