Author's Response: Thanks belsum! Hope you meant in a good way, not a scary one. ;-)

I loved this.  Beautifully lyrical. :)

Author's Response: Thanks so much Morning Angel. And thank you for the ribbon - be warned that this may just inspire more verse on my part!

Breathtaking. You're truly a master of the rhyme - I love it.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much fwf! There's just so much inspirational material to choose from with this show.

Why would it mourn for you and for we?

You capture so much so simply here. Very efficient (which is a quality I value, you know) and very moving. Poor Pam.

Author's Response: Thank you lis! I love poetry too for its efficiency (although to read some of my rambling prose you wouldn't guess that was true) and ability to capture the essence of an emotion such as poor Pam's pain and regret.

OH, my lord. This is such a beautiful thing. I know I tease you about being our resident poet, but seriously...I am SO impressed. This hits each note in their relationship just right. Love the rhythm of repeating that line, it's almost hypnotic...too many fine  couplets to pick one or two, but these made my stomach do a little flip: This feeling you had that I know you saw in me/But my eyes were veiled and I just couldn't see; and then: Your eyes so full of hope even as you spoke/Knowing me so well - knowing I would choke.

That fullness in Jim's eyes - you totally capture it here. Poignant, lovely. Poetry is hard. I'm amazed.

Author's Response: Thanks so much Colette! That repeated line was definitely the impetus but it was that haunting longing look of Jim's that inspires poetry. (Also, the forearms, but that's another story!) I'm such a poetry dork that I'm completely jazzed about being able to post this somewhere and to tie it into the fanfic, but it fits with the aching and the longing and the hypnotic painful reliving of those season 2 moments. Thank you, thank you for your support and wonderful review!

When you walked off and left me there twisting my ring
I was scared of what the future would bring

This one stuck out to me the most.  This is beautiful, Par5.  I love poetry so much and this is sad and lovely and so, so amazing.

Author's Response: Thanks so much 69con. Big fan of poetry myself and wondered how this would come across. Hopefully there will be a happier follow-up someday!

You want to know what really haunts me?  How damn easily all this angst could be cleared up.  Reminds me why I hate people.  ;-)

But you, you I like.  Very nice couplets!  (twss?)

Author's Response:

I hear you, Moxie. But Jim's eyes still haunt me as much as they haunt Pam. For different reasons of course!

Patience, my friend, patience! Soon we will have hot Jim on Pam action. I promise. Okay, we won't actually see it on the show, but we'll know!

Okay, so this was amazing. Want to know why? Because I actually created an account so I could review. I hated the fact tey took away anon reviews, but whatever. I really really really loved this. Normally I don't like lil poetry type fics, but this flowed and it was just so sad and sweet and everything.

So, good job!

Author's Response: Wow, thanks EmilyHalpert! Glad I could boost membership at MTT in some small way! I can't believe it's a year later and we still haven't made progress towards getting these kids together and away from the sadness. Soon, I hope!
