I haven't read P&P, but I have wanted to... maybe I will one day. I love to read, but generally, I stick to current stuff. Whatever.
And, one paragraph in and you've got me - cause, yeah. Mac and Cheese. Friday nights are just great like that. What, me, pathetic... um, not at all... *looks around suspiciously*
I have actually determined that the Terrible Twos are really from about 18 months to 30 months. So more like the Terrible one and a half to two and a half.
Is it wrong how impatient I am just waiting for the page to load after I click next?
So, " In the end, it was because of Roy and his actions that ended our relationship," is like the best line in the whole thing, because, it really is so much. Pam can't not be with Roy just because he isn't Jim. Jim can't not be with Karen just because she isn't Pam. There has to be some fundamental reason why person X is not right.
Wow - this " She looked over at the painting and smiled. "I did a painting of the parking lot. The building's just in the background."" Um, so, amazing.
If P&P is anything like this, I may have to read it faster than I planned.

Oh, lovely ending! I loved Jim and Pam's talk in all its honesty and sweetness. And Jim's question/Pam's answer about when she knew she'd fallen in love with him made me swoon in all its Austeny goodness!

Author's Response: I actually stole that line directly from the book. Glad you liked it!

Well done Ms. Sharky.  It was a tough task to take on and you found such a creative way to do it.  And yay for elevator kisses!!!

Thanks so much for taking me with you along the way.  I had so much fun!

Author's Response: You rock my socks -- thanks for the help!

A very nice finish! I loved it, especially the pre-wedding letter. Happy smiles!

Is it possible there is somewhere out there who hasn't seen the Colin Firth P&P? I cannot believe it! Haha!

Author's Response: Frankly, I haven't seen it yet but it's sitting by my television and I have to watch it, I know. Thanks for the review!

Oh, this is so nice.  I LOVE the part about the picture.  If Jim and Pam actually get together, maybe the Parking Lot of Doom can be renamed the Parking Lot Where it All Began.

Author's Response: I had to make a picture mention. Thanks!

Before I go on to the next chapter (and this one certainly choked me up a bit), just wanted to compliment you on this sentence: "Each time, he let go of more of the pride that held him back from letting Pam fill that one piece of his life that would finally make him feel whole."  I'm assuming this is you and not Austen; I've never read that book!

On to the next chapter - hooray!

oh, and I suppose you think you are going to get out of letting us know what was in the letter as well as missing Pam and Jim's wedding????

Think again missy!!  ;-)

You did a great job.  Seriously.

Author's Response: I thought about it, but if I don't know what's in that letter, no one knows. ;) Thanks for the review!

Ooh - the letter and Jim's reaction to it was great. Do we get to see the wedding letter too? Please?!

Author's Response: No because I'm mean! ;) Well...I just couldn't come up with one. Thanks for the review!

I'm normally reluctant to read and enjoy crossovers, and I was pretty hesitant at the idea of Elizabeth Bennett in modern times, but you've made my doubts disappear! This is great so far (Liz's wit and sass was ahead of her time anyway, so it actually works really well). Looking forward to seeing where this goes! Wonder if we'll be seeing the letter's contents or just Jim's reaction...

Author's Response: I totally understand. I was reluctant to write it for the same reasons. But I'm glad you liked how to it turned out.

This story is AWESOME!  Pride and Prejudice has got to be my favorite story...

but...

you CAN NOT LEAVE IT LIKE THIS!  I need more...I need to read the letter!  I need Jim to sweep Pam up and kiss her like she deserves to be kissed!

More more more please!

Author's Response: Well, you got the letter. I'm not sure about the kiss but close enough, right?

Oh, damn you, sharky - you can't just end it here!!!

Not fair.  *sniff*  Not bloody fair at all.  :(

Author's Response: I'm mean! And you have your letter now.

Wow, a cross-over of my favorite of all books and my favorite of all television?  You are made of win!

I can't believe you ended it here, Sharky!  Please don't leave us hanging too long; I have have have to know what Pam wrote in the letter.   More please soon!

Author's Response: The letter is done! That was the best -- and most challenging -- to write so I hope you enjoy.

Well you've hit on another obsession of mine, P&P.  I love the idea of Pam writing Jim a letter, and I can't wait to see what she's written.  I especially like how you take such care to describe it (the paper, the writing), it shows how much care she took and how important it is.  Plus, haven't we all wanted to get one of those letters, on heavy cardstock?  Great story, new and different, which is a nice change.  Keep it coming, I'll be looking forward to seeing what she wrote.  :-)

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, I wanted to give the letter a regal feel from the contents to the paper it was on so I'm glad you noticed that little bit.

This is so fun! I love P&P! I love this. I like your Lizzie, too- definitely what Elizabeth Bennet would be in today's world.

I can't wait to see what's next!

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, she was a bit of a tricky one to work in so I'm glad you liked it.

P&P is my favorite novel of all time.  I have often thought that the Jim/Pam hookup could use some P&P inspired plot lines.  Good for you for actually doing it!

Sharky, you better not get hit by a bus -- update immediately!

Author's Response: Yes, it could use some P&P inspiration! I guess that will just have to come from fanfic writers instead. Oh well. Thanks for the review.

Oh my God.  Seriously, you leave off HERE?  I hate you.  C'mon.  You need to post this next chapter soon.  I can't wait to see what the letter says.  ACK.

Author's Response: It's posted, it's posted. I know, I'm a tease. Hope you like the letter!

Oh the suspense! Please update soon as I'm dying to know what the letter says!!! Love the whole crossover thing! (Shouldn't Liz Bennett be Liz Darcy now, though? I love that she calls him "Fitz". Can you imagine what his parents could have been thinking, naming their son Fitzwilliam in this day and age? It must be a family name. :) ). I love the added touches you included about the letter being written on parchment and in the nice fountain pen--it adds a lot of class to the letter, I think. Thanks for writing, and please do update soon!

Author's Response: Class? Wow. Rarely is anything I write considered "classy" so thanks! As for Liz's name, I had it as Liz Darcy, but then figured she would be the kind of woman who wouldn't change her last name so Liz Bennett it remained.

Ooh. very nice. I own both versions of P&P (does that make me a sad person?), so reading this was a gimme. I like the modern day twist! Post more soon!

Author's Response: There are TWO versions of P&P? I did not know this. Cool! Thanks for the review!

Ah! I want to know what's in the letter! I love this so far and you're intertwining the two so well!

Author's Response: The letter is coming, I promise.

Hey, you updated while I was reading the first chapter. What an awesome surprise!

So...I'm always a little wary of crossovers, because it's such a weird idea to begin with. But I love The Office and I love P&P and I love your work, so I thought I'd check it out. First of all, you did a great job incorporating the P&P characters. The letter idea is plausible, and not something I've seen done often around here. Kudos.

Are we going to see the letter? Because I really want to see the letter, and if it's anything like Darcy's letter, I will melt into a puddle of goo.

In conclusion, I'm hooked.

Author's Response: I'm also a little wary of crossovers and get worried if they don't seem plausible. That's why I moved Liz to modern day rather than the other way around. And yes, the letter is coming.

Wow!   A P&P crossover!  This is right up my alley!  I can't wait to see what Pam writes, and what Jim's reaction is!

Author's Response: It's coming, I promise!
