This is one of my favorite episodes and I'm glad you gave us a peek in to how it could have been. This line was so perfect as to how he was feeling - "And just then, your heart does this weird triple beat thing, like it's trying to tap dance its way out of your chest because she's just so close."

Author's Response: :) Thank you!

I'm a sucker for fics that focus on a quiet, single moment instead of a 'big' dramatic premise - and this one conveys so much about their relationship. The 2nd person p.o.v. makes this so poignant and the last few lines (especially the very last one) are just so touching and sad and hopeful all at once. Really lovely.

Author's Response: Thank you soooo much. Like I said to one of the other reviewers, I was a little torn on the point of view, but it really just came out that way, so I'm really glad people enjoyed it.

Jim. Guitar. Jim playing guitar. Jim singing and playing guitar. How could I NOT love this? Even with the heartbreaking ending, I LOVE.

Author's Response: ;) Thank you. <33333

you know no one's ever said it that way and probably never will again.

Gah! Broke my heart! And:

"So, you'll teach me?" she asks is another wonderful line, because it obviously has so much more meaning that just playing the guitar and sums up the emotion of the story perfectly. Sweet and sexy, as well!

Author's Response: To be honest, Pam asking that is probably one of my favorite lines. ;D Thank you for reviewing!

That was such a sweet, quiet moment between them.  I loved that you wrote it from Jim's perspective in the second person.  It was a cool shift in the usual narrator voice.

Author's Response: Thank you for mentioning that. I was actually reaaaaaaally back and forth on the perspective because.. I generally don't even READ stuff that's written this way, but uh. It's just the way the story wanted to be written, so I'm glad it came across well. :)

Author's Response: :333 Thank you so much. It just made sense that.. that would be the song he'd play for her. ;)
