I think Jim would stand up for himself a little more. I think he would have told karen off and gone through corporate to tell them about what has been happening, maybe going to Wallace. But who knows. Deffinately a little less dramaesque.

I think this would be Jim and Pam's worst nightmare....pretty fun though...
Just a few notes when we met Pam's Mom on the show she had aburn hair and Toby doesn't have an office...he chose to sit at an open desk without a cubicle to get away from Kelly :-) The reason I point these out is because I'm enjoying your story and these inacuracies take me out of the story.
BTW someone knowing who Creed is AND having a crush on him, is so disturbing and hilarious at the same time... :-D

My mouth is hanging open. Just...wow. To answer your questions, I don't think this is too emo-y or even too melrose place. I mean, there is a minor soapish element but I think that adds a kind of black humor to it. I usually have difficulties with stories that pin Karen as the villain, but I find myself enjoying your unflinching version. And I also find myself rooting for a kind of revenge, but not knowing what exactly. I'll leave it to you. I like your style and I really look forward to what is coming next.

No, I think this is great.....I'd love to see David Wallace's Reaction when he finds out Pam got fired and Karen and Toby are sleeping together....OH it'll be better than when Sigorney Weaver was told to get her boney ass outta the CEO's sight in Working Girl! This fic has that feel to it. Yeah. :)

WOW. Karen is the biggest bitch! Did she get the job because she actually did sleep with David Wallace? Probably. I hate Karen. It's funny because after reading all these fics, I'm going to think it's all true come time for the season 4 premiere.
Author's Response: i don't want to give anything away, but karen's true motivations are going to be revealed in the next chapter - at least, to the readers, and ONE of the characters. hopefully i'll have it written sometime this week. stay tuned, faithful readers...

Author's Response: haha, I thought it was pretty ironic that Michael was demoted for letting his lovelife affect his job, and yet somehow Karen seems like a better choice to be manager. But don't worry; the next, as-yet-to-be named chapter is going to explore the reason WHY Karen suddenly has all this power ... and i don't think it's going to be what you expect. :)

Author's Response: thanks so much! believe it or not, the double-cross karen pulled on pam in this story is something out of my own experience... i didn't get fired, but it was still rather unpleasant. now, to figure out what our little pam will do...
