Awww, poor Roy. Great insight into his character. I love the repeated "I don't understand"- it really highlights one of the fundamental issues in the Pam/Roy relationship- as much as he cared for her and tried to do what she wanted, he just didn't get her. Greeat job.
Author's Response: Thank you! I thought Roy was more clueless than a bully when I wrote this story back in August. Season 3 threw me some curves as far as that was concerned, but I still think Pam's decision made no sense to him. When she was finally getting what she had been bugging for all this time, she bailed on him. I did feel sorry for him, although his actions during the February episodes this year did test my sympathy!

This was perfect - Roy is a good ol' boy, and achingly consistent - it's not his fault she's changing her mind or wanting to pursue her passions so late in the game. Nicely done :)

Author's Response: Their history together will certainly be really hard for Pam to escape, even if I think they are wrong for each other in many ways.

Oh Roy. Those last two paragraphs sums it all up perfectly. Poor guy. He just doesn't get it at all.
I really want him to find himself a nice girl. Just not Pam of course. :)
