Marjorie! :). I only think of her rarely. Basically whenever someone else mentions her or you see that fleeting shot of her or her desk. Although, I bet you could practically get away with saying you own Marjorie, because NBC pretty much doesn't seem to want to own her.

This was suc a cool little Marjorie fic on the JAM season two, and so good. :)

So what exactly DOES Marjorie do? Besides just taking care of Michael's emails... although that could be a full time job....

Author's Response: I guess my joke was that her full time job is making sure Michael doesn't get too out of hand. Don't look too closely: it isn't exactly an air-tight theory. Thanks for reading!

This was a great story. I wish I could write like this while drunk. Heck, I wish I could write like this while sober. ;)

Author's Response: Ha! Thanks, Azlin. To be fair, I would not post just anything I wrote while drunk. I did re-read this about a billion times, just to be safe.

That was great.  And I have to admit, even though I've seen every episode of The Office (most several times), I had no idea who Marjorie was until I read the reviews.  Just goes to show I have tunnel vision when I watch.  :)

Author's Response: I guess not everyone is obsessed as I am. Hee. Thanks for reading, invis!

What a sweet premise for a story. And Jim is just so darling with her. Thanks for writing this!

Author's Response: Thank you so much for reading, LoveFool!

So glad you've come out of retirement! And what a great premise - writing from her pov is so fresh, but she's still 'canon.' Too clever. Could really imagine Jim seeking her advice - his reaction to what she tells him was so sweet and v. Jim too (I  understood it as a callback to Mama Beesly's 'Which one is Jim,' when he also gets that slow happy-dance grin of recognition.) And great way to end, tying her back into the Office madness, even though she's a quasi-outsider - this line just screams something Michael would come up with: something that could ostensibly be from The Discovery Channel, if only it weren’t X-rated.

Just delightful, beginning to end.

Author's Response: Well, I couldn't let you show me up, now could I? (Although your fic is much better and steamier.) And yay, you got the reference to "which one is Jim! Thanks so much, Colette!

Just wanted to say thank you!!!! (again) But now that you've scratched my itch I just want more. Can you make this a story with chapters where everyone comes back for a spin with Marjorie? please?? I'm so needy. But seriously, thanks!!

Author's Response: You are soooo welcome. Thank you for the great prompt! You know, it's funny you should ask that, because when I was walking to work this morning (shortly after I woke up and remembered that I'd written this in the first place) and all kinds of ideas came to me about Marjorie. So, I guess you never know? Thanks again!

I love the idea that the other employees wouldn't sign the waivers- think of all the stupid seminars, parties, etc. that Marjorie has missed!

Author's Response: I can't claim credit for the waiver brainwave. That was all Treble! Thanks for reading, though, lis.

Wow! What a great way to explain Marjorie.  And you made her seem so sweet and serine.  Now I'm really curious.  I hope there's more.

Author's Response: This was intended as a one shot, but my interest has been piqued. Perhaps I can have a career as a very specific fanfic writer [/Pam]. Thanks for commenting, BlueJeanBaby!

I must be out of my element here, because I was totally lost. I mean, it's a well written little vignette you've got here, but who's Marjorie?

Author's Response: And you call yourself a fan. ;) Marjorie is a little seen, rarely mentioned gray haired lady who works back in the annex beyond the kitchen. You can catch her in Office Olympics and she gets name checked in The Fire.

very sweet - see why we were begging for more from you??  :-)

Author's Response: You know what's VERY sweet? You. (Thanks, Mox. You're a doll.)

Can I get a collective 'awww'? Now, does Jim's mom know all about Pam, or does Pam's mom know all about Jim?

I think I saw Marjorie in Office Olympics, too.  One of the great unsolved mysteries of The Office.  Yeah, she needs her own tag at MTT.

Author's Response: I left the mom thing kind of open-ended on purpose. I originally wrote something about Jim remembering Pam's mom asking about him and how that related to his conversation with Marjorie. Fortunately, I realized, despite my drunken stupor, that Marjorie would have no knowledge of that, and left it to the reader to draw their own conclusions. Hopefully it wasn't too confusing. And yes, she needs a tag. I was adding the story and when I got to the characters, I was like...uh...Other? Thanks for reading, lisahoo!

I only I could write like that even when sober! LOL  I really really loved this.  I like the explanation for Marjorie's absence.  And I now need to know what "dolphins boning like hamsters"?  What a code word. LOL

Author's Response:

Boning like Hamsters came from a late night discussion on TWoP about euphemisms for "making love". Treble offered to pay 5 bucks (Schrute Bucks?) to the first person who could write Jim Halpert saying that phrase. I couldn't quite make it work, but slipped it in anyway (it sounded more like a Michaelism anyway).

I can't believe you gave me a ribbon for something I wrote while drunk. This is my proudest moment, ever. Thanks, MA!

Heh! Oh, Marjorie. This kind of makes me wish there was more Marjorie-fic, although your explanation for her consistent absence is the best possible one, I think. My first instinct was that it still wouldn't work, because for her to avoid the cameras she'd have to miss so many meetings, etc, but then it occurred to me that we haven't seen too many (any) meetings that would probably actually be relevant to her work. As long as she doesn't mind missing out on the social aspect (aw, Secret Santa, birthday parties, creepy photo-shopped group photos), she could probably go on functioning in her job just fine!

Gosh, can you imagine if there was some huge Jim/Pam moment but Marjorie walked into the frame and they had to stop filming? The cameramen: "Damnit, Marjorie!!! I hate so much about the things that you choose to be."  Now my brain is running wild with all sorts of Marjorie ideas - she is definitely underused!

Author's Response: I wish I were smart enough to have come up with the waiver explanation, but all the credit has to go to Treble. And I really love your idea about Marjorie ruining Jim/Pam moments by walking into frame. I'm thinking "Five Times Marjorie almost got Peter the cameraman fired." And maybe sometimes she does it on purpose, to give those two crazy kids a break? Thanks for reading, Semby!
