I love this take on The Job. I tend to think they would fall in the sack right away. This is certainly a nice take on "right away." :) And that image of Jim, leaning against the wall, hands in pockets, ankles crossed...that was enough of an image to get me worked up! :)

I've read a lot of post The Job stories, many of which had them waiting, sometimes for months, and I was always breathing out 'oh BS', because you just knew that the angst of those YEARS of longing would bring them together that night (if not sooner, although the stairs were not on my radar... good job). You just knew they were going to come together like fire and petrol, no matter what they had to work out between them.
Lovely, and very hot.

Wow! This is sooooo good! I love how Jim needed a moment to himself after realizing that he's finally where he's supposed to be: with Pam. And the smut? Incredible. The need and want between these two is just amazing (especially the way you wrote them). Also, in the end, when Pam said she missed his old hair? Such a quiet and wonderful moment between them, especially when he replied and we know that it's not just the Jim's old haircut that they missed.

Nasty? Dirty? I don't think so. More like intense, passionate, and full of feeling. I love that he realizes he can finally look at her without any fear or reservation and how she can't look at him at all "because everything about him at the moment was a little too much for her." I love that Pam is the one who gives the green light and Jim doesn't hesitate. So good.

Please don't apologize for this, it was neither dir-ty nor nasty. It was merely Jim and Pam coming to a sudden realization that they could finally act on all those years of longing. I love how Jim can finally, unabashedly really look at her openly.
This fic was hot, and very much "them.". As in "a lot of talking not necessary, full speed ahead!"
